Whilst the hotel quality is still considered to be fine the special extras which were once provided have reduced. Turning down of beds. Chocolates on pillows. Afternoon canapés have ceased. Chefs amuse-bouche has ceased. Pre dinner canapé quality is poor. Pre dinner drinks taken into the dining room is not routinely undertaken.
A superb setting on the South Cornwall coast. Hotel has excellent facilities and brilliant staff. Really good golf course, well-suited to mixed-ability groups. Excellent value for money break, will book again for 3 consecutive year.
We stayed with 10 of us at the Carlyon Bay Hotel and Golf Course, and had a wonderful 4 days at a beautiful location on the South Coast of Cornwall. The food in the hotel was exceptionally good, the rooms were clean and well appointed and up to date, and the hotel facilities of a high standard. The fact that golf is included on a Championship course makes it an unbeatable package and I will definitely stay here again
First visited Carlyon Bay Hotel in 09 on a Golf, Rugby combo, took the wife last weekend, a great trip, Ruby in reception attentive, needed a phone charger able to supply, all staff fantastic, Paige and Summer, Brett @ breakfast, Buffett breakfast in my top 3, we had our meals in the Spa bar, which was super for the 3 nights, great view from 141, able to talk to all staff, no problem to anyone even when requested a glass of tap water,,
Excellent break once again in the lovely, well-run hotel. Always look forward to returning and the warm welcome we receive. The service is excellent and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Food is good and staff are very friendly. Beautiful location with stunning views.
