I booked to have my best friend’s baby shower here and from the get go the service and planning was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough to make this day very special, and we all had the loveliest day. Nothing was too much and we were flooded with great service. Thank you so much again!

We have just had the most wonderful 4 days in Boscundle Manor, a beautifully decorated old Manor House in St Austell. Arriving to lovely scented oils burning the in the entrance hall to home made cookies welcoming us in our room. Both Louise and Jason are the most fantastic hosts, along with their fabulous team. Everything you could want was in the room, kettle, coffee maker, fridge (including real milk, not little pots!), hairdryer with a diffuser, bonus for me, and lovely Molton Brown toiletries. A really large comfy bed with proper feather duvet and pillows led to great nights of sleep. A fabulous little touch was the fact that each morning a bag with freshly made muffins were left at your door, a little bonus before breakfast :) The breakfast was one of the best I've had. Loads of tea or coffee with a full Cornish breakfast, along with granola (own made), yoghurt and compote. Other breakfast were also available. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to look a the grounds but as we are hoping to return in September, I shall definitely be checking them out as they looked lovely from what I could see. I shall also book a treatment in the spa and a swim in the pool. The final little touch was that Louise sent us off on our journey home with a little bag of fudge made by their own craft bakery 'Manor Made Cornwall', absolutely delicious! Well done and thank you to all at Boscundle Manor. We are looking forward to our return trip.

We've just got back from a weekend at Boscundle and cannot praise Jason, and Lousie enough. This is an extremely relaxed but very professionally appointed and run country house hotel where every detail has been thought about. There is nothing I can fault such was the excellent service, rooms, and breakfasts. Little details like muffins left on your door in the morning and a (silent) fridge with a choice of milks made the stay really comfortable. It's located in a stunning area (I recommend Charlestown and Mevagissy) and if we stayed longer, we'd have explored more. If you're looking for a chilled weekend break, I highly recommend Boscundle.

Another lovely stay at this very comfy Manor House. Early October break with friends and the weather was very pleasant. Having stayed here earlier in the year, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Louise was an excellent host and welcomed us back as friends. On arrival Megan (special shout out) had patients of a saint over our lost room key! We loved our room (Emily) and mouton brown always a nice touch. A few issues this time with the plumbing but we are assured this is being sorted over the winter period. Highly recommended and will return.

From the moment we arrived at the door, we felt incredibly welcome. The room in which we were seated was just perfect. Cosy with the most gorgeous decor. Where do I start with the food!? Absolutely, without any question, the most delicious afternoon tea I have ever had!! The savouries were such a delightful change to the usual finger sandwiches other establishments tend to serve. The sweet selection was no exception, perfectly sized portions, filled with incredible flavours. All of this was topped off with wonderful service - the loveliest lady served us, she was tentative without being intrusive. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon

Excellent all round! Very welcoming and comfortable stay. Beautiful decor, grounds .. peaceful and slept well. Our hosts were lovely.. couldn’t have made stay any more enjoyable. Lots of thoughtful added extras like leaving yummy cookies with a hand written welcome to welcome on arrival and muffins pre- breakfast delivered to room every morning. We had a morning power cut but delicious cold breakfast ( yoghurt and fruits, cereal, etc) Still provided. Had a lovely evening playing snooker with our besties. We will definitely be returning. With thanks to Louisa, Jason and their friendly, helpful staff. Xx

We stayed at Boscundle Manor for a few nights in the Dorothy room (cosy but comfortable). We were welcomed by Jason who gave us a tour of the hotel before heading to our room, where we found some welcoming home cooked cookies, excellent with a cuppa after a long journey. We made use of the pool a couple of times, small but enough space to swim. We didnt have dinner at the hotel, but the daily breakfast was excellent; all home cooked and plenty of choice. Every morning we found some freshly cooked muffins waiting for us, and they went down very well too. The only niggle was there was not enough room to hang/dry towels in the bathroom, perhaps something to look at as winter approaches. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would go again when we go to Cornwall next.

Stayed here following the recommendation of friends and certainly has a lot going for it. Arriving on a Wednesday evening off season and were shown to our suite (Scarlett) which was very spacious with a large king size bed room, separate lounge area and well equipped bathroom with Molten Brown toiletries.. Breakfast was excellent (can thoroughly recommend the smashed avocado on sour dough).. Louise, the owner is an excellent hostess - warm and welcoming with a fund of knowledge over where to go in the area and recommendations as to where to eat etc... The property is beautiful - very atmospheric and furnished in a quirky, fun style. The only reasons for a 4 rather than 5 star review rest on two points: a) whilst there is a limited bar menu, no food is available in the evenings except on a Friday or Saturday. Having said that, there are good restaurants within a five minute drive. b) and perhaps, more importantly, the plumbing leaves quite a lot to be desired... In our room the hot water took an age to come through and we never did work out the shower controls.. Apparently management is aware of this and, hopefully, the situation will be addressed this winter. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Well situated for the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Helligan etc.. but not sure we would return until the above issues are sorted....

Lovely room with a super king bed which is very comfy, brilliant size living room with a decent size tv, comfy seating also includes your own fridge with real milk, coffee machine, kettle.freshly cookies in our room which was nice with a coffee. Bathroom is everything you need.. Evening meals were delish plenty of choices for everyone. Had a game of pool in the bar while we had a few drinks.. Woke up in the morning with breakfast muffins hanging on the door, perfect with a morning coffee before our cooked breakfast. Location is a hiden gem. But easy to find. Living locally I am ashamed to say this was my first visit to Boscundle Manor. It did not disappoint though from the warm happy greeting, to the amazing food and the leaving gift. The service and the welcome was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was a mixture of hot, savoury and sweet. From the minute the scones arrived you could smell how delicious they were going to be. My friend and I will definitely be returning. Support this wonderful place it is an oasis of tranquility. The hotel has been so beautifully decorated and the grounds are amazing.
