Truly serendipitous find. Warm and welcoming owners, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Stunning view across the bay. Small but cosy and intimate. Short walk to great pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful week at Broad Meadow, by far the best campsite we’ve been to. Debs and Neil make it feel like a home from home, and the facilities are excellent and super clean. The location is perfect - a stones throw from the beach, fascinating old harbour and museum, and an array of places to eat and drink. We had the Seagull Stage pitch and the view was spectacular, a lovely level pitch too (NB - for the electric hook up we used a 15m cable and that was long enough). This was our rescue dog, Henry’s first holiday and it was perfect for him, the field is completely fenced off and - at Debs’ recommendation - we enjoyed several lovely walks to Duporth beach, which is dog friendly, just 10 minutes around the coastal path. Thank you so much again Debs and Neil, we will definitely be back!x

We stayed here with our campervan for two nights. It's a small, peaceful campsite with views of the sea and a short walk down to Charlestown harbour. A lovely place to stay with pubs, cafes, beaches and coastal walks all nearby. The toilet, shower and pot washing facilities were all very nice and the owners made us feel welcome.

On the face of it, we are people who probably shouldn't camp. We like a comfy bed, our own space, peace & quiet but not hermit like isolation and a good hot shower that actually 'showers'. And yet we bought a tent. Well, we sorted out the bed situation with the aid of thermarest mattresses & camping cots, but Broad Meadow House sorted the rest...with knobs on. We have been to other camps and they had ticked many boxes, but usually fell down on either over intensive tentage or showers that barley breathed on you or worked on temperamental coin meters. Here you share a large meadow with a maximum of only 5 other tents! Theres room for kids to play without encroaching or upsetting the 'awld farts' in the corner ( that was us by the way), and the facilities were top notch & kept spotlessly clean. Debs, your very lovely & informative host is delightfully generous with her time, should you want it, and her attention to detail is what helps make the stay even more of a pleasure than the natural gorgeousness around you could do alone. The site is kept immaculately, mainly by her husband Neil & his trusty mower & the eco/ recycling ethos is well supported with info & bins. The village of Charlestown is literally minutes walk away which is great if you fancy a meal out & cheeky sherry & only have a short stagger home. There is a Tesco's 5 mins drive away, though when you are at the campsite you would be blissfully unaware that that level of everyday business was so handy, but if you need pretty much anything it's very close to hand. More importantly you have the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan & the pretty harbour of Mevagissy on your doorstep. If you want to go further afield the north coast of Cornwall is only an hours drive or so away. We enjoyed days out to St Ives & the area near Penzance as well as all the more local attractions. In short, It was an absolute pleasure to stay there & we hope to return either to camp or possibly to use the Posh Shed that tucked away on it's own little garden nook & looks perfect for a stay when the weather is less tent friendly. If you like loads of noise, other tents within 5 meters of you, big motor homes, want to play your music loud & have laid on entertainment (other than birdsong, rabbits & ridiculously friendly blackbirds), then you'll hate it. Its' got none of that. If you are like us, slightly surprised to find yourself in a tent at all but loving it in the right conditions, you'll be very, very happy here.

I very rarely go back to somewhere a second time, but I couldn't help myself with Broad Meadow House. I told myself it was because I was so relaxed last time I didn't leave Charlestown, so there was a lot I wanted to see. Suffice to say I just about managed to do other things this time, but only just! It's so beautiful and so relaxed I just can't help myself - all I want to do is look at the view, read a book, and drink a glass of wine. Bliss. I did however make it to Lanhydrock (stunning), the Eden Project (incredible), and Kittows Butchers for the best sausages ever for the barbecue! I will be back. Again.

Absolutely amazing site, I have lived in St Austell 18 years and never knew it was here, ideal for my nephew and his mum and dad. Gorgeous facilities with stunning views across Charlestown Harbour! Out of site of the busy village! Lovely welcoming owners Debs and Nigel?

I'm currently sitting in beautiful sunshine. I'm looking at the sea, I've just eaten an incredible breakfast bap stuffed to the gills with delicious local produce. It's stunning and I don't want to leave today. Debs is a star. She's hugely organised, everything is really well thought out and looked after. I had a warm welcome from her and Neil and they've been brilliant ever since. They are a mine of local knowledge and happy to pass it on, while also leaving you alone to enjoy the tranquility. The site is fully booked but doesn't feel like it. There's lots of space. I have 2 geese as neighbours! The site is on the edge of Charlestown which makes it peaceful, but it takes all of 3 minutes to walk to the harbour. I parked the car 2 days ago when I arrived and haven't moved it since, very happy to wander round soaking up the incredible history and eat good food. Too much good food... (Taking a walk round the inner harbour is cracking - a potted history of the town that puts everything in context). I feel utterly relaxed after just a couple of days. I'll definitely be back to stay here and go further afield. It's heavenly.

Our second year here glamping and what can we say , better than ever . The hosts Debs and Neil and dog smuggler are just amazing and can't do enough for you . The glamping tent has everything you could want and need, lovely furnishing and bed linens, whites robes and crisp white towels and beautiful toiletries in your own private bathroom. Also has electricity with lovely lighting .They are like family and have so much information to share . The views are amazing and they only have 4 other diy tent pitches , so it's very personal and no one in in close proximity to you .The breakfast hampers included in the glamping are to die for, cooked full brekkie barms or croissants and healthy smoothies , and granola ,just fantastic. So good we have already booked again for next August , highly recommend 😃😃😃

The view here is phenomenal. Matched only by how peaceful the whole place is. The 2 x toilets and 1 shower were kept in the most immaculate condition (I really have never seen any campsite facilities anything like this). There are lots of lovely touches, like books, hot water bottles, adapters, leaflets and a little fridge. As well as your own picnic bench and parasol! Yes, you will find cheaper campsites elsewhere, but if you value the peacefulness and cleanliness, then it is absolutely worth it. The town is right on your doorstep and is a brilliant base to explore cornwall. Finally, Debs was wonderful. Full of helpful advice, tips and suggestions. Very hospitable, and lovely to chat to. We will definitely be back to this little piece of paradise :)
