Our first stay but definitely won’t be our last - genuinely dog-friendly, not just dog - tolerant! Lovely food with new choices on the menu each night. What better place to watch the sun going down over Lands End? Ideal location for coastal walks - we didn’t get in the car until we checked out (and we’re not walkers!)
More dog friendly than ever with outstanding staff very friendly and accommodating Best views on this planet and it’s England ! Great food and bar and rooms/apartments Lacking some basic items such as newspapers and a concierge to make it really top class but good for a remote corner of Cornwall A bit pricey for what you get …. Almost London prices but not London standards… Yet !
"Probably The best Afternoon Tea in Cornwall" says the Hotel Publicity. Perhaps for £76.00 for two it should be ! Sadly, although there were some good points ,the management have not yet got it right and judging by other comments I wonder if these reviews are read, cared about and acted upon ? The location and views are pleasant. The glass of Gremillet Champagne was enjoyable. The finger sandwiches were tasty. The scones were good and there was ample jam and clotted cream. So why did we walk away at the end feeling something was missing ? Simply because for £76.00 it should not be just average - it should be excellent. You do not buy a gift voucher for someone which is an ordinary experience, you buy one because you believe it will be extra-ordinary. Upon arrival we were offered to take the tea in a lounge if we preferred. This was a nice touch and we were seated in the front lounge. The pot of tea, cups and milk arrived quite quickly, followed in seconds by the arrival of the glasses of champagne. Pause, rewind. The champagne should have come first at which time we should have been offered a choice of tea : Assam, Earl Grey, or a mixture perhaps or Darjeeling even Ceylon Black. Believe me I am no expert and on an ordinary day would have a couple of anonymous triangular tea bags in the pot. Which is what we got. No choice. No information about the sacred brew which was not in itself unpleasant, just , well , everyday and a little insipid ... We felt rather left alone and had to find someone to ask for a fresh pot. When it came there was no milk. At no time during the tea were we asked if all was OK. I will not criticise the staff who I must say were all friendly enough. I do however take issue with the management who should ensure that the staff are, if not "silver service trained", at least "cutlery aware" which they did not seem to be. I do not mean to be harsh and I will conclude as I started by saying that there were some very good points. But if this is to be a paid for gift experience of the best afternoon tea in Cornwall (probably) then the little things which don't cost money but are nevertheless most important need to be improved...…
Excellent Hotel with great restaurant in excellent location. Very good outdoor pool and spa. The restaurant is undersold on website. The dinner menu changes daily with well judged options. Breakfast menu offers wide choice. First class walking available from the front door.
Our stay at Mullion Cove for our honeymoon was perfect. Excellent service, sea views and wonderful food in both the bar and the restaurant. We were so well looked after, and our room was beautiful. We hope to return for our anniversary!
Our stay at Mullion Cove Hotel was exceptional. The staff work as a team, the accommodation and views are outstanding, the food is the very best available. We felt most welcome, pampered and cared for during the whole of our stay and were sad to leave.
A very relaxing stay. Top quality hotel with exceptional restaurant, spa, and view! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Hotel has character and is clean throughout. Lovely modern ensuite bathroom in our room as well.
Had a couple of nights stay. We had visited last year and had a wonderful time so decided to visit again this year. I booked a Premier Sea view room and got a room at the back of the hotel which had a partial sea view and coastal view. It was not a sea view room. The room was to be honest not good and they changed our room to the view room I had booked and gave me a partial refund for the first night which to be honest was still overpriced. Beware of room 202 it really isn’t good and the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. Overall we had a lovely time and had a wonderful time in the spa. The food is still generally nice but have to admit my Gnocchi was like eating cardboard. The location is fantastic but I think they have to be more honest with their room allocation as the first night was spent in a lower room then I booked which was clear on their website.…
We visited the mullion cove Hotel for our honeymoon the year after getting engaged there and we had an amazing holiday both times. The spa is fantastic, the restaurant is lovely, the staff are all very friendly and there are great walks and beaches on the doorstep. Will definitely be returning.
Wanted somewhere with a view for a Birthday afternoon tea. Booked here as we have stayed previously. We had one vegan and two fussy eaters that don’t like fish sandwiches or currents in scones. They could not have been any more helpful. The food was lovely, the views spectacular but was was even better was the service. Everyone we spoke to could not have done more to make the experience better.
