My partner and I camped here and it's was great. The staff here are really, really lovely. The grounds are huge and have plenty of different pitches to choose from (covered by tress, open, etc.). The toilets are good but there's no showers (which is fine for a short stay).

Great memories of rabbits, hedgehogs, & even a badger once, invading the tent at night & wonderful walks in a tranquil setting. Last camped here in 1993, not much has altered. Still no shower blocks! 21st century & no showers! Campers probably still have to pay at Marlborough

........to want to come back. A lovely site in the Savernake Forest but.......... like some Camping in the Forest sites it is “informal”. Informal is not a problem for us but........ atthis site it means no designated pitches just a free for all as long as you are six metres

You are allowed alcohol. Barbecues are also allowed, providing that the are raised off the ground. There is no curfew for walkers or cyclists.
