An old microtel. Now “erie inns and suites “ older but being refurbished. Clean ,in the room. The stairs were a storage area. The front area needed a good vacuuming. An odd person smoking just beside the front door…. But front desk was friendly and helpful. Nice cold ac, make sure you clean filters!!
We had a problem in our room, and the staff dealt with it immediately and satisfactorily. After a long day in the car, it was appreciated. The rooms seem to need some repair, but nothing so bad as to hinder a night's sleep.
The motel advertised no smoking, although had a designated smoking area. I found out that the designated smoking areas were in front of the motel right by the door and at the side of the motel, right by the door. The smoke permeated the whole floor I was on and ruined the stay for me. The day desk guy was out front smoking and on his cell phone frequently. On a positive note, the evening front desk ladies were very nice and you do get breakfast in the morning. The room was small, but clean. I won't stay there again because of the smoking, but for the price, if you don't mind smoke or the lack of a gym/pool - this is the place to stay. I love dogs and even though I don't have one, they can stay there, which I think is a plus.
Cob webs in each corner of ceiling, no bath soap in bathroom, and no tissues in bathroom. The entire property I believe needs a facelift. No attention to the small details and most likely won't use that brand in the future.
Checked into the Microtel, and the gentleman at the front staff was very helpful! Room was super clean, quiet night rest. Gave us a couple of suggestions for dinner. Also, had frozen bottles in out cooler, that he took and kept frozen overnight for our trip next morning. Would stay here again!
Hotel was fine! Clean room! Grounds were unkept! Very messy! Breakfast was enough! Cleaner was a pain, always in the way, talking to the check out desk and was there at check in too! We probably would not stay there again!
Stayed there recently two separate nights in Sept. It was clean and cheap. That is all the good news. The rooms no longer have clocks in them. The front desk says it is because everyone has a cellphone. There are ice buckets in the room but no plastic glasses. You need to go to the front desk for a glass. The TV guide in the room is for their cable connection which only is connected to the lobby TV. Rooms are on another system and the channels are totally different. On my second stay the door to my room was open, not unlocked, but literally open. The room keys do not allow access through the rear doors to the hotel. In the room, trim pieces have fallen off the joints where walls meet but are not being repaired or replaced. The cold breakfast in a paper bag was very poor. This place has gone way downhill since I stayed there several years ago.…
I would rather this a 2 star hotel that failed miserably. Overbooked, water damage, non-smoking hotel that reeked of old smoke, dirty feet and old water. No coffee maker, microwave or fridge. Rooms are so small you can barely step next to the bed.
There were several big holes in the carpet in my room, the internet did not work, I heard vibrating noises coming from the wall??? or the next door room??? in the middle of the night, and the elevator and halls smelled of cigarette smoke--probably from all the people outside smoking who brought it in on their clothes???? I think I overpaid, too. Looks like I should not have booked on their website.
Staff was pleasant during check-in and check-out, but no one was wearing a mask. My room smelled and the carpet was wet. There was little toilet paper as well. Lastly, in leaving I had to go through a group of people who were smoking and I don't smoke. It was disgusting.
