If you are not going to splash lagoon stay somewhere else. I want to say I didn’t realize this hotel was across from Splash lagoon when I booked it on the main Radisson website. When I first checked in I was asked to sign this extra agreement for incidentals. I asked if the hotel was rowdy and that’s why I had to sign this. The employee said no it’s just normal. Well some of the rooms have windows to the pool and if you have one on a weekend it’s very loud in your room until 10pm. The employees don’t check the pool or shut it down at 10 either. The pool looks like it’s seen better days. It needs a lot of paint and maintenance. The pool door does not require a keycard so anyone can get in also. The outside door that leads into the stairwell does not lock and anybody can come in. Parents just let their kids climb and jump off of everything in the pool area and some sent their kids to the pool unsupervised. I wouldn’t stay here again especially since the rate was $250 a night and that didn’t even include any splash lagoon rates. I could have stayed somewhere else for cheaper.…
The last time I brought my family to this location it was the EconoLodge and was getting pretty run down but we always enjoyed that pool and hot tub. This was no different in the pool and hot tub department. If you ask when you make your reservation they will try to put you close to an exit if you're a smoker. The staff is friendly and offers great insight about the area.
Professional and courteous staff. We had a minor problem with the room on check in. We advised the staff and left for an hour. On return the staff, although busy with other checki ins, was able to resolve the problem.
The cleanliness, the amenities (especially the pool), the friendly and helpful staff, and the convenient location bring us back every year. The hotel is minutes from the Presque Isle beaches and numerous chain casual dining places.
We stayed for one night in a double Queen bed suite. We were only in the room for maybe 2 hours total aside from sleeping. I had to clean my toddler’s feet three times because they were black!! Our room has a wet, musty odor to it and there was visible dirt in the corners and floors. I get that it maybe won’t be spotless- but I expected WAY better for $270!!!
Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Erie, PA is a hidden treasure that I came upon during a surprise short trip with the Grandkids. The room exceptionally clean and fashionable! I have never, in all my times spent in hotels, seen such an awesome pool. It was very well maintained, clean and had a tropical feel! The staff did an awesome job with the free breakfast! Overall my experience at the hotel was the best part of our stay in Erie!
We were in need of a friendly family oriented hotel for a night that would allow a rescue dog that has traveled for 5 days from Houston Tx the staff was awesome in welcoming us and our newly adopted fur baby LOLA ,all the staff went above and beyond for us and LOLA we can’t say enough great things about the staff, our room was impeccable and large which was great due to Lola needed to decompress for few hours after traveling for 5 days ,there was children pounding on the ceiling/floor late at night and staff quickly and swiftly handled the situation otherwise great stay for us Chris was especially helpful and understanding of our experience along with my need of help with another matter regarding my unknown knowledge of a internet issue.we are humbled and greatful for the staff and how professional they maintained the property and handling of the guests and issues ,we work in customer service and we know how difficult times have been so we gifted the staff sugar cookies as we appreciated all their efforts that they have not gone unnoticed we would most definitely stay here again in the future…
Ok, So the rooms were your basic mid-level hotel room, but the customer service is off the charts! Chris checked me in. I used a 3rd party app (Agoda) to book my room but they had me coming in later in the week. Not sure how that happened but Chris went above and beyond to take care of the issue while also fielding my frustration and concerns about getting snowed in. I have been traveling across the country and am on the last leg of my trip- he made getting benched by the snow manageable and dare I say enjoyable? He took responsibility for things that were not his fault or responsibility and was truly trying to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I would hire that man and give him a raise!!
This is an Econlodge with an upgrade, no joke, that is exactly what this is. The bed was super hard. I have never had a hotel bed that hard. The wifi did not work, and no one knew how to make the jacuzzi work. On Mondays you don't get the regular staff. Radisson needs to sell this place because it downgrades their name.
After traveling 800 miles, we were looking for a place to get a good night's sleep and continue driving another 600 miles the next day. We asked the woman at the desk if we could get a room on the 3rd floor. She was able to accommodate us and we were appreciative of that. She did not tell us the room was pool side, which, in addition to listening to kids running up and down the hallway, meant we listened to all the noise from the pool area until 10:00 when the pool closed. Not exactly what you want when you just want to decompress. Shortly after we got to our room, the door opened and another couple started making their way into the room. They had been given the same room. At 2:50 AM the couple in the room next to us made their way back to their room. After slamming the door and waking my wife they argued loudly until 4:00 AM. I fortunately had ear plugs in and did not hear them until later. We finally gave up trying to sleep and left around 5:00AM. When we told the person at the front desk that this had been a nightmare of an experience, his reply was, "Okay." He was quite indifferent to our concern. I know the hotel cannot control the noise of its guests (although it must happen quite often because you sign a noise agreement when you check in. A person could complain to the front desk, but do you do that if it means waking up your spouse?) On the positive side, the room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. Had we been in a different room, we may not have had such a horrible stay, although from what I saw I suspect all floors had kids running up and down the hallways. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who does not have kids and is not using the pool.…
