Spencer House is a true Bed and Breakfast in a beautifully restored Victorian mansion on Historic Millionaire's Row. Our location is close to Downtown within walking distance to Perry Square, Gannon University and a number of wonderful restaurants and attractions. We are also a short drive to Presque Isle State Park and it's 13.5 mile multi-purpose trail and award winning beaches and also Lake Erie Wine Country, the largest grape growing region east of the Rockies with it's wine trail of over 20 wineries, many of which are award winning. Built in 1876 as a wedding gift, you'll feel welcome as soon as you enter the front door. The solid brick home with elegant original woodwork throughout provides for a comfortable and quiet atmosphere for you to be able to relax and enjoy your time here. As a true Bed and Breakfast a full, home cooked, hot breakfast is included in your room rate. All rooms have a private bath, cable television, free wireless internet and individual controls for heat and air conditioning. Off street parking is provided and you can walk to many local restaurants and attractions.

The decor is unique and very interesting to take in all it's intricacies. The hosts Steve and Lisa were most helpful and had great tips for things to do in the area. The bike riding around the Isle was lovely and there was even a stop at Sara's for great ice cream. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a nice day visit.

Presque Isle is the jewel of Erie with so many things to do and enjoy and we are glad to have been able to provide some recommendations for things to do. just an amazing time, rode bicycles, town was fantastic even with COVID inconveniences, went to Presque Isle - easy bike ride from house, gardens on premises are just gorgeous. Breakfast each day was incredible. Will be back soon, probably this summer. Erie is great town.

Spotless, beautifully decorated, and Covid-19 compliant. Mansion with original carved woodwork takes you pleasantly to another time. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Great hosts. Easy to find. Highly recommend.

If you want a quaint, clean and conveniently located place to stay in Erie, look no further!! I stayed at Spencer House this past weekend for a quick getaway. Steve and Lisa made me feel right at home. The old Victorian is gorgeous. My room was very spacious and comfortable. Steve greeted me and was extremely helpful throughout the weekend. The breakfast was delicious and they both went out of their way to accomodate for my gluten allergy. They also went out of their way to provide hand sanitizer in different locations and have adapted well to Covid times. I felt very safe there and highly recommend this place!!

There is nothing more important than our guests safety and as a smaller lodging business, with our occupancy limits and size, we feel it makes it much easier to make sure our home is thoroughly cleaned to CDC and Dept. of Health Guidelines than a large hotel with many people.
