Spencer House is a true Bed and Breakfast in a beautifully restored Victorian mansion on Historic Millionaire's Row. Our location is close to Downtown within walking distance to Perry Square, Gannon University and a number of wonderful restaurants and attractions. We are also a short drive to Presque Isle State Park and it's 13.5 mile multi-purpose trail and award winning beaches and also Lake Erie Wine Country, the largest grape growing region east of the Rockies with it's wine trail of over 20 wineries, many of which are award winning. Built in 1876 as a wedding gift, you'll feel welcome as soon as you enter the front door. The solid brick home with elegant original woodwork throughout provides for a comfortable and quiet atmosphere for you to be able to relax and enjoy your time here. As a true Bed and Breakfast a full, home cooked, hot breakfast is included in your room rate. All rooms have a private bath, cable television, free wireless internet and individual controls for heat and air conditioning. Off street parking is provided and you can walk to many local restaurants and attractions.

We are open year round and the area is quite beautiful with the snow but we haven't experienced being snowed in yet however, you are welcome to come stay over the winter and see what happens.

The room was the lovely. The house was beautiful. Lot's of interesting things to see, Close to most attractions. The hosts were kind, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The dining room was charming. Loved the stained glass and the fireplace. Breakfast both days were very good. I felt totally SAFE. I will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I wanted someplace to relax, explore, and feel safe from COVID-19. We found all three in this lovely old Victorian mansion in Erie. Steve and Lisa were attentive and helpful. The Presidential Suite was spacious, very clean, and spoke to an era of grandeur. We started each day with a great breakfast before exploring Erie and its surroundings. We were so glad we chose Spencer House.

The house is gorgeous with so many cool and original details to sit back and enjoy, if you love old houses like I do! Every room and space in the house was neat and spotless. We stayed in the Spencer suite which had plenty of space and the great big shower was awesome! There is also many private sitting areas to sit and enjoy all throughout the house! The huge front porch was beautiful, we enjoyed an evening cup of coffee out there. The breakfast was delicious and was more than enough to keep us fueled for our day. This was my first b&b experience and I’m happy to have had it here!

This place is what every B&B should strive to be! Clean, beautiful, amazing food, great location and friendly informative hosts! We stayed in Mary's room for my birthday. After spending the day at the beach the house was a welcome relaxing place for the night. Comfy bed, and a front porch to die for! We shared a pizza on the porch that evening. It was a magical stay with a delicious breakfast in the morning. We will be back!
