When we arrived (midnight), the room was sort of clean. Didn't see any bugs, but floor was dirty.. took a shower in the morning and the bathtub did not drain properly. We arrived back to the room late the following night...it was never serviced. Beds not made, no clean towels, coffee not replaced, etc. Definitely NOT worth the money. We will never stay here again.
We had a clean room (no bugs anywhere of any kind), microwave, 'fridge, the staff was pleasant, close to the casino and plenty of parking- room for tractor trailers. The property needs maintenance and upgrades. Broken concrete along 2nd floor walkway, the room could have used a fresh coat of paint, draft around the door and poor drainage. It was adequate for the night, but a lengthy stay would be out of the question. I wasn't expecting luxury for the price we paid but maintenance should also be a priority.
Started off well; room was nice and clean. There was plenty of parking and we weren’t that far from Presque Isle and such. However our door was was really hard to open and they hadn’t cleaned, even after going down to the front desk and requesting our room be cleaned. The drains had also been clogged. (They were under renovations, so I’m not sure if that may have something to do with it. Or COVID policies and such.) With all this in mind, I’d say the room and overall stay was nice, but the service had much to be desired.
I want to be nice but this place is just filthy and run down. Lobby is nice but it looks nothing like the pictures. Sketchy people, beer cans and bags of trash in the main walkway to your room and the bathroom was disgusting. We ran out and bought two tins of Clorox wipes and STILL didn't want to touch the bathroom. Unacceptable. Checked out at 5:00am so didn't try the breakfast. Would never stay here again. Staff was friendly however. Front desk was fine. From there.......just sleep in your car or keep driving.
Pictures are not updated. The property is a tacky orange color and in very poor condition. Cracks on the sidewalks and foundation. Lights flickering, and severely outdated. Trash bags, dirty gloves and towels from workers, tampon applicators, beer cans etc littered the property. Our toilet paper dispenser came out of the wall, cigarette burns on the blanket and sheets. And to top it off property was stolen out of the back of our truck while in the parking lot
Most people would shy away from this motel because of its close proximity to the Interstate (directly adjacent) and the fact that is not currently aesthetically pleasing. My wife and I had no trouble sleeping despite the fact that we were about 3 rooms from the interstate end of the upstairs corridor and faced the Super 8 next door. Also, they are in the process of updating, so there are painters and electricians active on the property, which did cause some interference with the guest experience. Before continuing with room specifics, I would like to point out that we did not raise any maintenance issues with the staff during our stay, as we tend to lay out and leave out our electronic devices etc. and specifically ask that the room not be serviced. That being said, I shall continue. Our room was clean inasmuch as it didn't smell, the garbage was empty, and the sheets were clean, though apparently the soap used by the previous guest was missed. We simply didn't touch it as we had our own supplies. It did have some minor maintenance issues. The cover on the door knob inside the bathroom came off frequently, the toilet had a tendency to run on its own (the handle sticks - apparently the nut holding it to the tank is too tight or something) and the cord pulled out of the trigger switch on the lamp next to the bathroom side of the bed. Again, they are renovating, and I still consider these minor annoyances, and certainly not enough to drop a bunch of stars, especially when considering the pluses. We had limited interaction with the staff, but those we did speak to were pleasant and helpful. I didn't see any mention of a hot or even continental breakfast, so the hot waffles through the week complemented by eggs, sausage and home fries on Saturday was a welcome surprise. The pool was a tremendous relief from the August heat and humidity. Despite the hot temps, the AC worked well, as did the fridge and microwave. Overall, we would stay here again. Some might think that is crazy despite some of my comments. Remember, it's not the Marriott. If you want the Marriott, stay at the Marriott, and above all, pay for the Marriott.…
It was a great hotel for a lower priced room. They were in the middle of doing some remodeling. Pool was lovely, breakfast was awesome! Those potatoes were seasoned perfectly!! Our air conditioner worked great for a hotel. Our tub was a bit rough looking but ok.... we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Stayed last nite on way back home...couldn't wait to get home today to shower, felt as if every known virus was living in roon. Sink was plugged, stairwells filthy, r claim they are in the middle of renovations...need a bulldozer to do it
My wife and I were driving through the area and needed a place to stay. Most of the hotels cause of the summer were so outrageously priced, we figured okay, we have stayed at Quality Inns before. We just need a quiet clean place. Everything looks very old and not well taken care of. The people at the front desk were nice. The room was old. The sheet had a cigarette burn hole through it. The chair had stains on it. Everything was very old and worn badly. The air conditioner was so noisy and as it went on and off it is like you could hear a fly wheel slowing down click click click. The toilet ran continuously and I had to fix it several times. It's not like we could pick up and move to another hotel, most were sold out and we were just driving through. Area of the building when walking through outside looked very cracked like they were damaged. I would not stay here again.…
This hotel was disgusting and super sketchy. Unbelievable how dirty and in disrepair this place is. Our room was not as bad as the overall place, as we made sure the sheets were clean, but the bathroom was dirty and the towel that we laid on the floor turned black on the underside from the dirty floor. My suggestion to the owners is to knock it down and rebuild instead of all of the half-a** renovations they are doing. The workers left construction debris in piles all over the place so we had to watch our step, smokers all over the place on the walkways. It is in a great location being right off the exit & with the casino right down the road a 1/4 mile, so build a better hotel. I can’t believe we paid as much as we did, if everything in the area had not been booked we would have left for sure. The breakfast was awful the 1st day, but much better the other 2 days probably because the other days the hotel was fully booked for the 4th of July weekend and they would have had more complaints.…
