First, I want to say that the facility itself was top notch. Very clean rooms and the staff communicated well through text messages. The reason that I am writing this is to inform guests to only stay at this resort if you can get a room on the parking lot side of the building. The facilty is all but built on top of the interstate and exit ramp. If you get a room on that side as we did, good luck sleeping. As a Hilton Honors member, I requested ahead of time that a room that is quiet in an upper level. We got there no later than 4:30 pm and were assigned a room on the freeway side of the building. I asked the counter clerk if we could be changed as I had requested a room where it was quiet. She said they did not have any King Rooms available on the parking lot side. Usually I get a text from Hilton allowing me to choose my room ahead of time, but on this date, it was not sent. Beyond that, the facility was great. I just wish the lame brains at Hilton were more intelligent in picking their sites for their hotels. For those Hilton Honors members,, I would suggest that you stay at the Hilton Gardens Inn or one of the newer brand resorts at this exit as they are farther away from the freeway.…
For the first time since the start of the pandemic we are traveling. During our drive to the east coast we spent a night at Hampton Inn Erie-South. The adherence to cleanliness and COVID good practices was excellent. The take-out continental breakfast was adequate and met COVID safety standards. I was surprised at the beauty of our contemporary-style room (no photos, sorry), which looked brand new and sparkling clean. The receptionists at check-in and check-out were helpful and friendly. When we checked out, I told the receptionist how much we enjoyed our stay. She told me that the general manager has worked at this hotel since it opened over twenty years ago and takes a personal interest in maintaining high quality. The staff enjoys working here, as well, and many have been employed here for many years. The rooms were renovated a couple of years ago. We’ve stayed at other Hampton Inns through the years, and this one is the best.…
I was pleasantly surprised by this Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great; it is near many restaurants. It is right in the middle of where the Pizza Bomber event happened, if you followed that. The price was not bad at all for the rooms, which were nicer than expected. Overall, this is a great location to stay if you are in Erie!
Just stopping to break up the drive home, this is a great stop. The pool area looked inviting, but we were tired and had more miles to go the next day. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming. Everything was clean and we felt very safe. Breakfast variety pleased everyone. It is good to know when you come to a Hampton, you can always be assured of a good stay.
While driving cross country my family and I needed a place to sleep. This hotel right off the highway offered clean room, comfy bed and pillows and a warm welcome. What more do you need? I recommend this hotel.
Stayed here one night. This property is very close to I-90. The friendly Hampton staff offered to place me in a room that did not face the interstate, which I accepted. Everything in my room was clean, and functioned properly, including wi-fi. Breakfast was adequate, although the fruit selection was limited. Unfortunately, this hotel, like most Hamptons, did not offer skim milk with breakfast. This is not the closest Hampton to the town of Erie, but it’s good for interstate travel.
Kathy, Peggy, and everyone else does a great job for sure. It had been almost 2 years since I visited. Please accept JESUS CHRIST TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION. He is same YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER Room was cleaned perfectly. Breakfast area is great. Business center was awesome. Suite shop extremely well stocked with everything. The only thing is that Hilton honors members should not have to day for mouthwash.
Not much to distinguish this property from other HI’s. Staff was friendly and property was clean. We found it to be one of the better values of the surrounding properties at $110/night. Breakfast was adequate, coffee a bit weak. We would return.
Stayed at property on July 7th and after, seen a charge on my credit card and gave hotel a bad review, should have called hotel first and I did not. They told me it was a hold that would and it would come off.The hotel is good and clean and location to shopping, food, recreation, casino,is good.Had a nice stay would recommend to anyone for any reason, thank, would stay there again.
We stopped here for an overnight on a long road trip. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was above average, but the coffee was unimpressive. We would return.
