My son got an internship &’stayed in Doylestown for the summer, so we went to visit him. Our first room had no toilet. We got another room, it was clean, but he tv didn’t work, nor did the hair dryer. I had to go into a vacant room to dry my air. It smelled like smoke & it was very small.
First off the room was ok. If you pulled into the parking lot, and then closed your eyes and didn’t open them until you got to your room, it’d be alright. Beds were ok, cable TV selection was nice for the kids and provided a nice distraction when needed. With that said this hotel feels like a $60 a night hotel right off of the interstate. I think we paid $120ish and it’s about double what it should be priced at. We stayed in the deluxe rooms. The floor is warped and squeaky in parts. Bathroom door hinges need some grease because the squeak big time. The ice machine didn’t work during the length of our stay. Every time we got back to the hotel at night our keys had to be reprogrammed. The two guys working the front desk were cordial and accommodating but looked like they’d…
While not a bad price, the roving bands of drunken guests make getting a good night sleep almost impossible. Calling the front desk resulted in the clerk basically telling me there was nothing he could do. There was a phone in the room, but not connected to anything; almost like a movie prop. They advertise free wi-fi but there is none. Oh yes, and the place suffered a major fire almost a year ago and it still isn't repaired. So you get to see rooms closed due to a fire and the fire alarm wires dangling from a box. Real secure feeling.
This is a converted Days Inn (the symbol is still on the doors), so I was actually expecting the worst as I've had repeated bad experiences at Days Inns. However, they have remodeled many of the rooms (at least mine was). The bed was comfortable, I personally didn't have any noise issues, the water pressure was decent, and the front desk clerk was friendly. The road is a bit weird to get in, my GPS took me into it in an even weirder way. The area seemed safe and there are many food options nearby. If you're passing through and need a bed, this works out well.
A two minute car ride from downtown center of Doylestown the staff was friendly, capable and knowledgeable There was lots of free parking on site Parking downtown is a serious challenge Rooms were clean and simply furnished Could use grab bars in the shower/tub for safety Nice breakfast selections, area very clean Good location
The bed was probably the most uncomfortable piece of furniture in the room. The pillows were the size of two travel pillows and lumpy. The bathroom looked clean but the mirror was cracked. The phone was missing buttons. You could see the light from outside through the door jamb. WiFi was so weak that it couldn't hold a connection and was unsecured. Stayed here before when it was a Days Inn. It wasn't great but it wasn't this bad. This was not worth $110 a night.
Looking for just an overnight we chose this motel because it was less than 10 miles from where we wanted to have dinner. So impressed with Benjamin @ the front desk!! Smart, efficient, alert, and quick! So impressed! Thanks! Rooms are basic but clean. Not for your long stay. It was within a parking lot walk to what appeared to be a very good Mexican restaurant. It was very busy for a Thursday night. Didn't eat there.
This quaint little town was a perfect way to spend our Thanksgiving holiday with family. We have always stayed home and the rest of the family always had so much fun here so we decided this was the year we would give it a try and we loved it. Santa came into town Friday night and there was a tree lighting. So many happy families and children everywhere. We will definitely be visiting Doylestown again
The staff was friendly upon check in, the room was clean, but somewhat outdated. Overall impression was it felt like roadside motel and not a hotel. The parking lot lights shined in the room all night and we couldn't close the room darkening curtains. The breakfast selection was somewhat disappointing. Close to New Hope and easy access to Peddlers Village for a short day trip.
I was visiting Doylestown over a holiday weekend and the quaint B&B's were taken, so I ended up booking this hotel instead. The front desk clerk was kind and friendly, the room was very clean, and it had a fridge, which was convenient. There's a Mexican restaurant attached to the front of the hotel, and there are lots of coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores within a half-mile radius. The downsides were....it's a motel, so it's less upscale than a hotel. There wasn't an ironing board/iron, the bathtub didn't have a plug and there was only one ice machine for the whole building. But all in all, it was a decent experience.
