We had our family reunion here. We rented three houses and one camp site. Everyone had a nice time. We golfed, fished, had day trips to Sisters and the museum and the lava beds. The mall was a great destination and short walk. There were close restaurants although we ate in a lot. The market was close so we could pick up forgotten items. I had spa treatments. We all enjoyed our stay at this resort.

We thoroughly enjoyed the first weekend Sunriver Resort was able to reopen. Everything was sanitized and the room felt incredibly clean down to the TV remote being in a sterilized bag. We didn't miss certain things being open because we ordered Carson's room service, and it was delicious! We also explored the great outdoors by foot, bike and golf cart. Also have to note the super friendly service provided by the lodge staff at curbside check-in and housekeeping. Overall, a really lovely experience that was much needed after being in our house for 6 weeks!

We recently had to evacuate from western Oregon during the wildfires and were needing a place for 4 people, 2 dogs and a rabbit. We were so fortunate that Sunriver still had a few places available. The team found the perfect spot for all of us and made sure we felt safe the whole time (from both wildfires AND covid). From remote check in to the extra touches in the room that proved housekeeping had worked hard to ensure a clean and safe space, we could focus on still doing our jobs (work doesn't stop for wildfires), keeping our pets calm, and staying up to date on the situation at home. We're forever grateful.

Do not stay here! Stayed during the summer and I am positive Sunriver Resort is responsible for the surge of Covid-19 cases in OR. We had to request twice for a clean room from a grumpy housekeeper not wearing a mask correctly. The pool was a mess with social distancing, servers not wearing masks or gloves and EXTREMELY rude! Favorite word was No because of Covid (just wanted extra napkins ) . Food nothing special, if they were that lax about things where we could all see I shudder to think what goes on where we cant. Don"t waste time or money at this resort, you can get a nice AirBnB cleaned professionally , free parking is everywhere and enjoy the village and support the local shops. Sunriver is a beautiful place Sunriver Resort is not.

Stayed at Sunriver for a weekend. The property is very big with many choices of activities. Loved the flat, easy bike trails. Difficult to review many of restaurants because most were just doing take out due to COVID. My room was nice with very comfortable bed but slightly dated and needs additional lighting and refinishing of deck. Was very pleased with how clean everything was and felt very confident that employees were doing everything possible to keep everyone safe. Looking forward to a return trip.

Very disappointing visit to Sunriver this August. Beautiful property but terrible service given the extremely high nightly rates for Lodge Village rooms. Room wasn't entirely clean upon arrival, stained sheets and bedspreads, single ply toilet paper, small insufficient number of poor quality towels in room, front desk and activities staff provided sometimes conflicting information, non-working internet (couldn't hold signal for longer than a minute even with only one device on network), room service very difficult to utilize without working internet and required multiple calls to determine which menus to reference, etc. No housekeeping unless you request it specifically. No laundry facilities or service on property. The Cove was overcrowded and the hot tub cloudy (too little chlorine?) - the lifeguard was also in lace up sneakers (i.e., not ready to jump in). While it's in a great location and has lovely facilities, the resort is lacking a service oriented culture, which would be less problematic if the room rates weren't so high.

On the positive front, bike paths were fantastic and we enjoyed our tubing and trail ride adventures. The masseuses in the spa are fantastic and we enjoyed our meals at the Lodge where the waitstaff and kitchen staff were great, along with the food.

Too expensive for what we got. Service was good employees were nice, most of them. Some need to smile more. Facilities not well kept, food and drinks WAY over priced, especially for such tiny portions. Service took too long in the restaurants, and the "shuttle" service was a wheelchair not a golf cart. Also, why no plunger in the room?? Toilet gets plugged at 11:45 pm, and we are left to just let that sit in the room until 9:45 am the next morning? Nothing else was close enough, couldn't make our own food with no kitchen in the rooms. You guys need better priorities. Larger portions, cut the price by at LEAST 40% on ALL food and beverages. Hire some more staff, and buy a couple more golf carts. Maintenance needs work, and please ensure the bathrooms are fully equipped, both with any necessary tools such as plungers, as well as air fresheners. And invest in a bigger TV please... And move the chairs away from touching the ends of the bed please. Also, we had a draft in our room when the air was off and all windows/doors and even the blinds were closed. What's up with that??

The weekend we were visiting, central Oregon was experiencing record cold temperatures. This would have been no issue, except for the fact the heat in our room wasn’t working during our stay. We didn’t notice Friday night, due to the mild temperature, but on Saturday evening, we came back to a very chilly room. So we turned on the heat, and went to bed, expecting the room to warm up. I woke early Sunday morning; the thermometer in the room said it was below 50 degrees inside. We called the front desk, and was told someone would come look at it shortly. 2 hours and 3 phone calls later, someone finally showed up. He concurred that something was wrong, and that they would need to call an outside technician to come fix the issue. We were told it could be up to an hour, and that if we wanted to leave, we could; They would let them in. So we did, and when we came back 2 hours later, no one was there, and the heat was still not working. Around 5.5 hours after I initially called the front desk, and 3.5 hours after the maintenance employee left, no one had updated us, so I called the front desk inquiring about what the status was for someone to come fix the heat. The person at the front desk said they would ask maintenance and call us back. 25 minutes later, he called back and said that there had been a shift change, and that the outgoing maintenance employee told the incoming one that everything was working fine, which was obviously not the case. The new maintenance employee came up, and agreed with us that the heat wasn’t working. He provided us with 2 space heaters, as there was no way a technician would be able to come out at this time on a Sunday. For the remainder of the evening, we used 1 space heater, and were satisfied. However, I turned off the space heater overnight, Just to be safe. The next morning, I woke up to a cold room again, as outside, it was in the single digits. So I turned on both space heaters this time, and went back to bed. I woke up again a short time later, only to discover that the power in our room had gone out, and it was still freezing. We were never offered another room, and to compensate us, we were credited the cost of a meal, + $15. Kind of ridiculous, given the cost of the room. Additionally, you still have to pay a 15% resort fee, even though most of the resort services were closed/ restricted, and even with a pandemic, the cancellation policy is up to 21 days in advance. We usually love it here, but this was very disappointing

I traveled with my sister and her grandson (my great nephew). When we checked into the lodge room 226 we found the freezer had never been cleaned, the phone did not work, both tv's did not work, the place was dusty around the tv and floor and the kitchen floor is severely worn. It actually has holes in it. I called the front desk using my cell phone to advise of our situation and after the recording, it rang for 10 minutes and no one answered so I had to walk up to the front desk. The person said she was busy checking people in, was by herself and couldn't get to the phone. What poor service! Someone came to fix the tv's and phone but the freezer remained dirty through out our stay.

I did rent the cabana every day of our stay but I'm not sure why. There is no special service for those paying $175 a day extra. No dedicated waitstaff and not even a pitcher of water was offered. The wait staff were short handed and we had to wait for service just as everyone else. Truly frustrating!

You would expect luxury bedding considering the price paid ($500+) per night. That was not the case. In fact the beds are very worn, did not even have fitted sheets and to top it off, the one I slept in (closet to the bathroom) has bed bugs. Ugh! I have numerous bites on my left arm.

Also, the carpet has not been cleaned in god knows how long. My great nephew's feet were black each day we stayed.

I would think the resort would have HIGH standards with respect to furnishings and cleanliness before allowing a unit to be a rental but apparently not. This unit needs to be fully cleaned and most flooring, mattresses and bedding replaced.

The EV charging equipment is old and outdated as well. It charged my Tesla at a rate of 10 miles a hour, taking forever.

I'm very unhappy with the resort and believe our room fee should be refunded. I hope to hear the resort will be doing something along those lines to make things right.

Our family decided to take a break and we chose Sunriver Resort because it’s only an 8hr drive from where we live.

It’s a decent place but I would give it a C for customer service or even at times lower. The reasons??
A) we were never informed that during the pandemic we weren’t gong to get our room cleaned. Front desk should’ve informed us at check in time. We had to call the front desk.
B) I had to request for a set of towels for our family of three. Either the request never arrived or at one time they just gave us bath towels. We needed face towels, floor mat and hand towels. The only time they got it right was when the gentleman at the front desk took down my request. The following morning I didn’t find the front desk lady accommodating.
C) when we checked in at 12:30midnight (10/11), someone from
The front desk should’ve shown us the room and how the fireplace worked. I couldn’t turn off the sconce lights.
I spoke to Gretchen. I’ve also requested for a Sunriver Resort Welcome Book bit it never made it to our room.

If a place calls their place a Resort, they should treat their hotel customers as such.

The highlight of Sunriver Resort... the Carson Restaurant. We were served by Myline.. a very gracious and attentive food server on Saturday and Ryan on Sunday. They were both excellent and gave excellent customer service. Sandy was also quite helpful when Myline was busy with other customers. They observed covid protocols but still made us feel like special guests.

The rooms weren’t particularly beautiful either. Old qtip holders should be replaced and bath towels looked frayed. There was a musty odor in the room too. It took forever to get anything and there were no microwaves. We didn’t get a refill for our coffee bar either. Hopefully they’ll improve on their customer service and make
Guests feel special!!

How is the Cove pool vs SHARC?
Answer from sexybaby7399
Oregon436 contributions179 helpful votes
The cove pool is a more adult oriented laid back environment with a nice pool and a hot tub that are open seasonally and are available free to renters of certain Sunriver Lodge rental units. SHARC has two sets of facilities, one that is open year round and includes an indoor complex of pools for adults and children and a nice exercise room and showers and changing rooms with lockers and a large outdoor hot tub with a great Mountain View. They also have a set of three outdoor pools including a kids pool and a lazy river that has two slides. The outdoor complex is available from late May, around Memorial Day weekend through early September about Labor Day weekend. I would favor SHARC unless you want a quieter more adult environment in the Summer. SHARC is fine all year long! I hope this helps! Regardless you will have a great time!
