Great location, good vibe, and the staff is incredible! The restaurant is good as well, and you have to try the lavender infused espresso martini!
This is my second day at the dossier and I’m so glad I came back! It was a great stay, and I will likely come back here on my next visit to Portland!

Hello Corianderson12345, Your high marks are music to our ears. And your promise to return is the icing on the cake! Thanks for making Dossier your Portland home away from home. We note that your visit to Bar Alder introduced our modern cocktail offerings, expertly prepared by the creative bartending team. Rest assured we will pass along your compliments. It's always a pleasure to see a familiar face and we ask that you don't stay away long. Warm regards, Don Davis General Manager

This was my first time to Portland and I got this hotel on hotwire as one of those hot deals where they don’t tell you what the name is until it is booked, which is what I will always do with hotels for cheaper rates. I got the Dossier and upon looking at photos I was impressed and very excited because it’s a great location, but not getting my hopes too high because the last 2 hotels I had on this trip were a huge disappointment and nothing like the photos. However, The Dossier was so cute! The valet’s were so kind and helpful letting us know about the parking situation, and check in was super fast and easy. The elevator requires a key to go up, which is great because Portland has a lot of weird things going on outside. The rooms are very elegant, clean, and luxurious while being environmentally conscious. They allow for you to opt out of constant sheet and towel changing for a $5 credit to the in room bar, which is such a smart incentive for people to be less wasteful! Housekeeping is also very under the radar. Not once were we woken up by the sound of them outside, and we never had any awkward run ins with them knocking on the door to clean while we were still inside. They managed to sneak in and out during the small periods of time we were away. I love a good hotwire deal but next time in Portland, I’m skipping that and booking directly. Mahalo Dossier.

I loved my stay at the Dossier. The staff was all friendly and accommodating, I stayed 3 nights and although I had to change rooms due to a shower problem it did not affect my stay. They moved me to a room on the same floor, it was very easy to move my things and I actually enjoyed the second room better because it was closer to a beautiful strip of Portland.
The food was to die for. I ordered in every day and they were not only fast but they were super nice, asked if I needed anything else and helped me get rid of the containers.
I was a very annoying guest, I called down to the front desk probably a couple times a day to ask for things here and there but they were still really friendly , provided what I asked for quickly and didn't judge how weird I was being lol
I'm extremely excited to go back again. I hope things never change at the Dossier!

Very nice 4 star hotel in downtown Portland and at a good price. Hotel was very accommodating and met all our request like a quiet room on a high floor. Coffee, tea and fruit were available in the morning and complimentary. We had 2 double beds, super comfortable, a large bathroom with separate bathtub and shower with all toiletries. We stayed at the Marriott 2 years ago, and we feel the Dossier is a better hotel. The hotel is central located and near shops, food trucks, and river waterfront. The front desk was very helpful in providing maps and pointing out popular sites.

I enjoy staying here every time for the superior overall experience, based on location, room quality, and Peloton bikes and LifeFitness treadmills in the gym. The food at Rosa Rosa, which is amazing including probably the best coffee I have had. They also have cappuccinos via a La Marzocco machine. This hotel was formerly the Westin Portland a few years ago. Service is always friendly, and a short walk to Pioneer Square (and the Max Light Rail). One nice touch is they always have classical music on low in the room (on the high-end radios). Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about your wonderful staff team. The valets were very helpful, friendly and quick. This was my first time to Portland and I appreciated their suggestions for restaurants and directions to our various day-trip destinations.
The front desk was very helpful as well....running toothpaste to our room in a matter of minutes when we realized we failed to bring ours and providing us an additional hour to check out based on our schedule.
The beds were so comfortable allowing us a great night's sleep....warm comforters and great pillows and the rooms were clean and comfortable. One of my favorite features of this hotel is the custom artwork throughout the property, all from local artists reflecting Portland uniquely. Thank you again for a fantastic stay and I will see you again soon.

It is almost impossible to describe the incredible treatment we received during our 50th wedding anniversary weekend stay. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful, they literally made us feel like royalty from the moment of check in until checking out. The front desk staff made us feel as if they had been waiting all week for our arrival, she immediately said "oh you're going to love your room, I cant wait for you to see it." Within 5 minutes of our arrival she was at the door with a large bottle of champagne on ice. Our room was a corner king room with big windows all around including the bathroom, the room was filled with natural light and the windows open for fresh air if desired. When we went down to the lobby for happy hour, the staff member said "oh my gosh we are so excited to have you here!" When we went downstairs to Rosa Rosa for dinner the food and service was excellent, they brought us two of their most popular desserts. The Manager spent a lot of time talking with us and making sure everything was top notch. The location of the Dossier is very convenient to many stores and restaurants. We truly had an unforgettable experience and are anxious to return again. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

I travel to Portland often for work and almost exclusively stay at Dossier. The front desk team is so welcoming and easy going and they are genuinely helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and each room is cozy, modern, stylish, and has the MOST AMAZING BED. I always look forward to my stays at Dossier because the bed is like crawling into a cloud. They have paid special attention to detail and have quality linens and furnishings, and those details make a difference. The location is perfect if you want to be able to walk around downtown - it's right in the middle of everything. Great place to stay, highly recommend.

I picked the Dossier almost at random for my recent trip to Portland - It was in my budget and had good reviews, I didn't dig any deeper. Our weekend started out with a five hour flight delay - we missed our dinner reservations, and by the time we staggered into the hotel we were exhausted and frazzled and I was six months pregnant and ready to eat the next person who so much as looked at me funny.
Kiki greeted us at the front desk, got our rooms and our car taken care of within minutes, and was so cheerful and easygoing that she got my entire group smiling and laughing. She recommended some places for us to visit that turned out to be a blast too!
The restaurant at the hotel is wonderful, the rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet, the valet was fast and cheerful, and we could walk to sooo many interesting places! I will definitely be back!

We were a bit dubious about this hotel since it is near downtown. We've stayed at a hotel on the other side of the river and had a terrible experience so I was prepared to leave after 1 night.
We found the hotel to be really wonderful. Upon arrival we were met by a very friendly bell hop, checked in quickly and he took our bags to our room.
The room was very large (even considering we booked an upgraded room) and was spotlessly clean. We really appreciated that they furnished the room nicely without being over the top with unnecessary junk on every surface. The sofa and chairs were comfortable but the big hit of the room was the BED. This bed was soft on top but felt firm underneath. Both the wife and I slept great (which is rare). The linens are better than average and the pillows were also amazing. Truly a 1st class sleep... something that it seems almost every hotel seems to forget about.
The bathroom also was a wonderful experience... a rain shower head in a stand up shower (big enough for a 300 lb guy) is a nice way to wake up. There was also an oversized tub that we didn't use. Towels and amenities were similarly up scale.
Last but very much not least, the staff was consistently welcoming and helpful. The facilities seemed very very clean and new, overall the hotel felt very well maintained.
The only negative I can offer about the hotel is parking... they offer valet parking using an outside vendor and a parking lot a couple blocks away. It was expensive (even for Seattle) and sometimes it took 30 minutes to get my car. It was far from ideal but once I knew the process I would just call for my car a little bit earlier. Less than ideal but far from a big issue.
Overall we were really thrilled. We felt like we finally found a hotel to match the great restaurant scene.

Thank you everyone for helping. Only our Suites (the Loft Suites) have Nespresso machines in the room. We do not have coffee makers in rooms (there are SO many good coffee houses in Portland, its a crime to limit that experience!) But we do offer coffee each morning in our lobby from 5-10am by a local roaster Water Avenue as well as Smith Tea selection. This is part of the amenity fee experience. Thank you for your question! It is self service.
Good morning! Currently we do not participate in any loyalty program however, as Provenance is growing (now up to 14 hotels!) we are definitely working on such a program. More to come in the future but definitely join our mailing list when you stay for special follower-only offers! Jared, General manager.
Melloone is right in that we have an iron and board in the closet and we also have a dry cleaning service we can send clothes to though the hotel (generally in by 8am back same day by 5pm), so hopefully one of those two services will suffice for your stay! If not our front desk can help you find a reputable local spot.
Thank you for your question! On property the only option is valet (limited real estate downtown). While there are other parking options in town not too far from us I cannot personally recommend any because I cannot vouch for the safety of those locations for your vehicle; and I would never recommend a service I could not personally vouch for. But a quick google search will find some nearby lots. Just know that many of them are quite public and un-secured so please be careful.
Or, check out our Valet Package on our website for a great inclusive value if you plan to have your car with you!
