While most things were great, our room wasn't ready at check-in time even with a request to check in early. Service was friendly, the room was clean and very attractive. The cement floors did make sounds louder than we would have liked, and during the night some of the automatic lights were going on and off.
We walked everywhere. The valet was quick, easy and We walked everywhere, the farmers market was fine, it had a whole lot to offer. The staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and very practical; It had everything we needed.
The room was tidy and comfortable but could have been planned better. The sink and vanity area is/are located in the hall by the door, and the shower and toilet are on the other side of the entry and has a sliding door for privacy. The light at the sink is inadequate for makeup, and the hand towels are in the room with the shower and toilet. There isn’t a spot, or hook for them by the sink. When we checked in, our room wasn’t ready. The staff was very casual, and not at all concerned. We went to a late lunch, explored and checked back an hour and a half later. Still not ready. We found friends in the lobby sitting area, and spent an hour chatting with them while we waited. We checked on our room status twice, and were told still not ready. Eventually, our friends left to get ready for the event we were all attending, and we checked again. By this time, we’d noticed many other people checking in without an issue. After another half hour, and watching so many others check in, we asked again and were given a room. It seemed as if the staff just didn’t care.…
I stayed at the Hyatt Centric for a conference I was in town for, and I would highly recommend it. It's clean, well-run, and the staff are attentive. I also really appreciated having a full fitness center. Hotels don't always have enough equipment, but the Hyatt had more than enough, and I could easily modify the workouts from my CrossFit gym back home and do them there. Thanks for a great experience!
Hyatt should be ashamed of this property. Stay ANYWHERE else should you wish to be treated with kindness and respect. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience due entirely to desk staff; absolutely no willingness to provide even the slightest customer service . Shameful.
Overall quality of this hotel is at Hyatt level, rooms were nice, ambiance and service were ok, but the parking service is terrible, Takes more than 20 minutes to bring the car and costs $45/night. Try to get to park some place else.
I’m currently staying at this hotel. Today I requested getting our bedroom serviced at four different times and still nobody came to make our bed, empty trash, replenish our coffee, etc. They obviously can’t provide what you pay for and it’s expected of them. Needless to say I won’t stay here again.
Had a chance to stay here this past weekend. Staff was absolutely incredible and willing to help where they could with whatever issues I had. They were extremely pleasant to talk to and kept a cleanly space for all guests to come into. I’d highly recommend them. Showers were great too. Keep the soaps! People thought I was wearing cologne.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Like all Centric properties we've visited, they are unique and stylish and fun! I loved the way the lobby and our room were decorated. We arrived at about 1:30a and were still greeted with a cheerful and helpful front desk attendant who offered great suggestions for exploring the area. There is also a restaurant and bar right in the lobby and I've gotta say, the breakfast there is phenomenal! It's not included in the price of the room but it's reasonably priced and oh so delicious (you must try the egg sandwich with avocado as well as the yogurt bowl). There is hotel valet parking for $47 per night and also a public lot right across the street for $35 per night which we chose (note while we didn't have any problems with vandalism, the attendant patrolling the public lot did warn us to ensure nothing valuable was left in the car as there are many break-ins at that lot). This hotel is walking distance from many restaurants and bars and a quick and cheap uber ride to many cool Portland neighborhoods. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a stay downtown!…
Wow! What an awesome find. The staff were attentive, and the room was clean and well appointed. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, which was only a couple blocks from several restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. When I return to Portland, this will be my home away from home! Thank you!
