As is the trend, you get hit with the Resort Fee bill, despite the place lacking gym, housekeeping, pool, breakfast, or much that would justify the extra fee - it's very bare bones for a hotel, let alone a resort. The roof deck and bar are among the best in the city, and the downstairs lounge area makes the perfect place to meet and hang out. The overall flavor and personality is gorgeous, and sort of makes up for the corners that were cut.

The pictures of the lobby are amazing! They match what you see in person. The upstairs halls are like walking down the hall of a mental institution in which the inmates scribbled on the wall. The rooms are simple. Inside rooms have light but no view. Shoebox rooms have no place to put clothes and only one hook for a jacket. No plugs on nightstand which hides the refrigerator. Valet parking cost $55 per day and you cannot drop off or pick up from 2300 to 600. When you do order your car, it can take up to 20min. The hotel staff look very unprofessional and dress like they are going to a country bbq and cannot answer simple questions that every hotel employee should know, like checkout time. Important…the hotel does not tell you about what a horrible neighborhood this is. Most businesses in the neighborhood are boarded up. Friends in police department suggested not leaving the hotel after dark.

There was a party of some sort and you could hear all the music not to mention that you could hear after the party was over the noises of the night. I would not recommend walking around the hotel at any point of the day

The hotel is great. My only complaint was not having food on site before 4p (as their website indicates). The staff is all incredible and quick to meet needs. Short of the dynamics of it's location - which requires compassion and diligence to stay safe - it's a wonderful place to stay. Close to all that Portland has to offer.

Great location with a nice vibe and comfortable beds. Wish a place to put our toiletries had been provided in the bathroom. Also, our toilet paper holder was loose and wouldn’t stay upright. Would return, though, for the right price.

Convenient location, nice staff, but the hotel needs improvements. Should have more counterspace in the bathroom sink, the cafe was closed that day, no room service options available either. Early check in is convenient and appreciated. The toenail will haunt me as wilk the carpet that shed onto my socks.

Everything was great there was nothing wrong with the hotel... the area it's in just sucks. It's difficult to find parking and I wouldn't be so worried about parking a few blocks away if the homeless situation in that area wasn't so bad. It was honestly a little scary, and I didn't wanna pay the $50 for valet.

I was happy that I was able to bring my dog for no extra charge (under 80 lbs) and the hotel was very nice. I loved my single room. It was the perfect size for me and my 47 lb whippet mix to feel comfortable. I also loved that I could park right outside the hotel on the street. Since it was so close to the hotel, I wasn't worried about someone breaking in. I would definitely stay here again.

I live in Portland and my partner and I wanted a night away from parenting. The Hoxton was the perfect place to unwind and relax. It's central to a lot of our favorite places downtown so walkability is excellent. The little touches at the hotel make it feel really special and lifted from just a regular hotel stay. I will definitely recommend to others.

Each time I stay here, The Hoxton staff go above and beyond to make my business stays as comfy as possible. The Tope bar staff kept me company one night while I had dinner + Alex at the front desk handled all my logistics + needs with a lot of warmth. Traveling for business isn’t always easy but the staff here really creates a friendly place to look forward to!
