My husband and I stayed in room 605 and really enjoyed the walkable location in the Pearl District, surrounded by plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. The staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was a nice inclusion. Parking is available on-site via valet, though a bit pricey. We had no trouble finding street parking over the weekend. Just be sure to download the local Parking Kitty app and avoid leaving anything visible in your car. The room seemed newly renovated and was very comfortable. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time staying at a Hampton Inn and Suites hotel and we loved it!! We changed hotels at the last minute, shifting from a downtown Portland hotel, and we are so glad that we did. Clean, quiet, safe, comfortable and modern with very friendly staff, a welcoming lobby, and super comfortable beds! The hotel is in the Pearl district, a very walkable area of Portland surrounded by restaurants, shops and breweries. The hotel has a 24 hr coffee bar in the lobby, a daily breakfast buffet with plenty of breakfast options and really excellent food! If you can’t stay for breakfast, just grab a complimentary breakfast bag on your way out. Plus you will find a pool, gym and an amazing rooftop deck (BYOB) on the 8th floor with tables and lounge chairs - a perfect oasis! Hampton Inn and Suites - our new favourite hotel chain!

I spend 90+ nights per year in just Hilton brands alone. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company, I was required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. I regularly travel to and stay in downtown Portland too...
Property, rooms & amenities all excellent.
All staff I interacted with (management, front desk, doormen & room attendant) were professional, friendly and went above and beyond. Honesty they all deserve raises and awards :)
My only minor issues would be: No longer offering lotion as part of the toiletry compliment.
I was not a fan of the dispenser shampoo, conditioner or body wash. It felt oily; not very clean feeling?
At a nightly rate of $190.00 (including tax) I thought it was expensive compared to other full service hotels in downtown and how quite Portland was the entire week.
I would totally recommend and look forward to being a guest of this Hampton Inn again...

Dear bowman716, Thank you for being our guest this summer. And thank you so much for your kind comments about our team! They are truly wonderful people and I'm happy you were able to interact with them. Thank you for your feedback on our lotion. We have recently added this to our offerings at our front desk for future guests' needs. Additionally, thank you for your feedback on the bulk amenity shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Hampton Inns across America recently switched to these amenities, we appreciate your feedback. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we hope to see you in the future. Sincerely, Brenda Kramer General Manager

We generally enjoyed ourselves at this property. However, when unloading we were met by a valet who told us parking would cost $48 per night. I balked at the price and was told my options were parking in the street or a couple of blocks away for $28 per night in an unsecured lot. I asked if it was safe in the hotel area, and she told me it is not safe anywhere in Portland. The free upgrade was very nice as we got a huge room with all the amenities. The shower was very good with lots of counter space in the bathroom. Breakfast was typical for Hampton Inns, but the staff was not keeping up with replenishing the food and beverage items. We used their guest laundry and found their dryers were awful, costing lots of quarters to dry our clothes. To the hotel's credit, after I complained they gave me a bunch of quarters to compensate us. Housekeeping was great, as they did what we asked them to do during our stay.

Hello Yankee33, Thank you so much for your review of your experience. Thanks also for being an honored Diamond guest. Parking in the city is a premium and we contract with a third-party valet company to offer this secure and convenient service for our guests. I'm sorry if this seemed expensive to you. On the other hand, I'm glad that we were able to upgrade your room type with your elite status. Thanks for your feedback on the dryers though. I'll ensure our maintenance team tests these regularly to ensure that it's properly working. Thank you again for your feedback and loyalty. I hope to welcome you back in the near future!

Stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns and other Hilton Brands all over the World; no other Hamptons like this. First off - full disclosure - I am a Hilton Diamond Member. This was our 2nd visit to this property. This hotel IS pricey + parking is valet-only at $48/night. That being said it’s very competitive for downtown Portland and most hotels & parking are in that range (or higher). Set in the Pearl District, it’s in a very nice charming neighborhood to walk around, lot of shops and restaurants nearby and a 5 min walk to famous Powell’s Books. This is a very upscale Hampton that more resembles a Hilton resort - open Lobby with nice furnishings and amenities, large pool with play areas for kids, big breakfast area which never felt crowded and food was really good. Coffee free in lobby 24/7 - and the guest rooms were very large, clean and modern. Also had a large rooftop terrace with lots of tables and we went up there at night with our own bottle of wine and enjoyed the Portland skyline. Great ambiance!!! Staff at hotel were extremely friendly and helpful and I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Don’t let the Hampton name make you hesitate here - this property is not your Parents’ Hampton Inn!!!

This was the 2nd Hampton Inn we stayed at during our travels. We arrived into PDX airport and took the Max light rail (red line), changing to the Green line at Rose quarter transit center to Union Station, the nearest stop to the hotel.
It was dark when we arrived and all manner of unsavoury characters, druggies and homeless were on the streets. The streets were also not well lit and the whole place seemed deserted. It appeared this part of downtown goes dead of all good activity once the sun goes down.
My advice is not to get to the hotel by this means if you flight arrives any later than 2pm as you'll want to do this commute with ample daylight left.
After a few nerve-wracking blocks walk, we got there relieved and frazzled.
The hotel itself is quite good. The room was spacious. My brother had a King room which was big enough for actually 3 king beds.
Next morning, we could appreciate the area more. In daylight it is much better. We loved the World Foods across the street - we bought everything we need from there for all our meals. Great deli, coffee shop & bar selling locally made products. Very cool place.
There were many things within walkable distance like restaurants, bookstores, a pharmacy. It's also close to the tram lines so it's perfectly situated.
The staff were very helpful. We appreciated the microwave at the reception desk.
Breakfast was fine with the 3 cooked hot items plus peeled hard-boiled eggs. Those who don't have time for brekkie can grab a prepackaged paperbag filled with a few basics like an apple, bottle of water, mini peanut butter, jam and a bagel.
I just wished the hotel chain would think about giving guests a refillable water bottle and having them refill than handing out plastic water bottles everyday.
There was a water refill station in the gym just off the lobby which I appreciated.
The rooftop deck was a nice place to hang out. Just wish there were some activities up there.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would happily stay there on a return.
I especially liked that it was a pick-up location for some of the tour companies like Infinite Oregon Tours. So much better than taking a taxi to one of the meeting spots for the tours.

Hello The_Concierge_8, Wow. Thank you so much for your comprehensive review of your experience. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed your stay as soon as you arrived at our hotel. You summed up the many positive aspects of our hotel in this great neighborhood called the Pearl District. On a related note, the nearby old town still has work to do, but know that we continue to work with the City and with partner agencies to make it better for all. Once again, thank you for your review. My teammates and I thank you very much and hope to welcome you back again in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay here during our visit from 12/6/24 - 12/11/24. We had an 8th floor king room that faced an apartment building. The neighborhood is pretty chill and quiet.
Free, daily hot breakfast was served and the hotel was very accessible to many locations. Coming from LA, I loved seeing the murder of crows hanging out in the trees surrounding the hotel at night.
The pool is designed to be more kid-friendly (1 ft. to 4 ft.), however a few laps are doable, and the fitness center has a decent amount of equipment for workout routines.
The hotel staff was very friendly and we will consider staying here again for our next visit to Oregon!

Bed Bugs! The carpet in the room didn’t feel all that clean but when I woke up in the morning an adult bed bug was crawling across my pillow. It was filled with blood and my scalp was itchy. Gross :( I don’t think the hotel response was adequate. The housekeeper came up to insect with their cell phone flashlight and basically changed the sheets and nothing else was done. Fortunately the Hilton corporate response was much better and refunded our money for the stay.

A good overnight stay with no shortcomings. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The bed was fine. They offered valet parking and the attendants were always prompt and courteous, as was the desk staff. Breakfast was fine. The location was good with stores and restaurants within walking distance in a distinctive neighborhood. We have had some quality control problems with Hampton Inns recently, but this one reminded us of what the Hampton Inns used to be like on a consistent basis. We would stay here again the next time we are in Portland.
