We checked in for two nights and had a very comfortable room #1503. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Location was good a couple of blocks from Pioneer Square, we were able to walk to transportation, restaurants, donuts, and shops. We wish more was more opened in this area & businesses weren't boarded up; but it is what it is.
Hotel was recently renovated and it was very modern stylish and futuristic. Lighting, sound, technology was great. We had a Keurig in our room which didn't work, but they sent up a pot of fresh coffee and the machine replaced shortly afterwards.
Our room was very clean & lighting was excellent. We didn't have housekeeping but did get fresh towels, cups & a new bag for ice. Strangely the panel under our sink was moving, rather than it falling on my feet I lifted it off.
We had a glass bottle in our room & an ice bucket. Next door was the ice maker & filtered water. Our room was very quiet we didn't hear an noise,
Valet parking was $45 a day but the valet told us we can self park in the same safe lot, right around the corner, for $20 a day which we did.
There was a gym on the fourth floor that worked well. There was a restaurant and bar on two. The boutique hotel was really lovely. They had washers and dryer's on the 19th floor that we should've used, but didn't.

We are so close to everything and there is lots to see! Next time you are in Portland, I invite you to take a spin on our complimentary bikes we have at the hotel. There is even more to see and do. It's getting more and more exciting as the boards are starting to come down. As things are starting to come back to life in the city, I'm confident we will be getting into full swing! I'm happy to hear that you loved so many aspects of our hotel and renovations. We truly appreciate your patience with the less than perfect aspects of your stay too! I know this hotel was the Portland Marriott Downtown but it has just re-opened as the Bidwell. The hotel is shiny new and the lobby and front desk area are clean and nice. The sitting areas downstairs near the elevator are comfortable. The rooms are modern and have great lighting and comfortable beds. The bathrooms have nice, strong showers and there are great views on the city from the higher floors. There are water refilling g stations on each floor so you can either refill you own water bottles or use the ones they provide in the rooms. No worrying about bottled water in this hotel.
The meeting/conference rooms are also very clean and have comfortable chairs. Plenty of space, great lighting, and easily accessible via the stairs or the elevator. Soon their restaurant will be open so you will be able to eat on premises.
This is a great hotel my family and I will be staying here again when we come back to Portland

Hi drkevinwong, Wow! What a glowing review of your recent stay, thank you so much! I'm excited to see you've highlighted many of the changes we've worked so hard on (the awesome lighting and water stations are two of my personal favorites!). We appreciate your feedback and are so glad to hear that you had a lovely stay with us. You'll have to let us know what you think of our restaurant, High Horse, upon its completion. We can't wait to welcome you and your family back next time your travels bring you to Portland. Warmest Regards, Jamelyn Rothans Guest Satisfaction Ambassador

This was my first stay at this hotel since their recent renovation…it was great before but the glam up is breathtaking!! The lobby is spacious and meticulously decorated with custom art, furniture and murals. Every piece is very PNW, including all the fun merchandise, snacks and wine available in the lobby store. We had the pleasure of staying in a 2 room King Suite. The room was outfitted with a comfortable sectional, 2 enormous TVs, a sweet little table and chairs and a Very comfortable bed! Also included in the room were two large refillable glass water containers with a filtered water station located down the hall by the ice maker, I thought this was such a wonderful addition. They also had individual lavender pillow sprays! I’m such a fan of all the small touches, this hotel has so many! We spent a good amount of time in the bar area and enjoyed a few different wines from the great local selection and my friends were very happy discussing liquor and getting custom drinks from the super knowledgeable bar tender. He even made a fun, yummy, mock-tail for our pregnant friend. Food was delicious the chef is very talented and creative. My only complaint is that I couldn’t try one of everything!!
I seriously love this hotel, can’t wait to stay here again. 💚💚

Hi Dawn, First let me say, YES!! I love the urgency and appreciation for our hotel!! We also think everyone should be staying here ASAP :) We love getting feedback from our guests who have gone through our glow up with us, and I couldn't be more excited to hear that you love so many aspects of the renovation. The refillable glass water containers is also a personal favorite addition of mine. It goes along with our theme of becoming a more green hotel. As you may have noticed, we've taken most of the plastic out of our hotel and replaced it with more sustainable items; the glass bottles being one of them. There are so many great things that came with our renovation...thank you for appreciating them all! So when do we get to welcome you back for more crafty and fun drinks?! We can't wait to share the rest of our menu with us when you return. Safe travels until next time, Jamelyn Rothans Guest Satisfaction Ambassador

I had low expectations for a trip when things are still so impacted by post-pandemic restrictions & shortages. The Bidwell proved me wrong by far exceeding my expectations. The room was fantastic; perfectly appointed with anything you might need. Great little touches like glass bottles to fill with as much water as you want at the water dispenser on each floor, & rooms smelling like essential oils when you walk in. The room was clean, like super clean (you could smell it faintly when you walked in the bathroom, not an overpowering smell of bleach to make your head hurt, just a slight hint to let you know it hasn’t been ignored). The restaurant & bar are only open limited hours & room service isn’t back yet, but the gym is available again. Every single member of the staff was WONDERFUL! They were attentive & friendly & went above & beyond to make sure we had every need met. I cannot sing the praises of this hotel enough for your next stay in Portland.

I stayed four nights at the Bidwell Marriott Portland on a solo getaway, and it provided the perfect base to explore Portland. The property is recently renovated, with an updated lobby that is welcoming and has a very Portland vibe. The front desk team made check-in easy, and they always had a friendly greeting when I arrived back at the hotel. They were also happy to help with requests. Room cleaning only happens upon request now, and toiletries are not provided in rooms (other than the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash found in the shower), but the reception team was happy to arrange these things for me upon request. Great customer service.
My room was spacious and quiet, despite being near the elevator. Everything was very clean. There are filtered water fountains near the ice machine on each floor, so you can fill up your water bottle or the glass bottles provided in rooms.
I did not eat at the hotel restaurant because there is such an abundance of great food within walking distance in Portland. Two blocks away you'll find food trucks at Pioneer Courthouse Square (try Fried Egg I'm in Love). VooDoo Donuts is also nearby, but I say skip it and get better donuts at Blue Star.
One huge reason to stay at the Bidwell Marriott is proximity to Powell's Books. This mecca for book lovers is very close by and is a can't-miss Portland destination. I found the neighborhood around the Bidwell Marriott to be great. The city is still recovering from the pandemic, as so many others are, but there are lots of restaurants and shops open. Much has been made of the situation on Portland streets, and there are a few blocks around Burnside where things aren't wonderful, but the area around the hotel is perfectly nice and I felt safe and comfortable at all times. Overall, I had a great stay at the Bidwell Portland and would definitely return. In three days, I barely scratched the surface of all there is to see & do in Portland, so I'll definitely be back.

What an incredible transformation! I was so very sad to have such a short, single night with an early morning departure stay at this gorgeous property!
A long time Bonvoy member, I only had a brief stop at the front desk to activate my digital key but all staff members were extremely friendly and very helpful. My daughter and I were both thrilled to arrive to our room to the most amazing welcome bag of locally curated goodies.
Our room was just as gorgeous as the impression from the lobby! It felt incredibly spacious, had two queen beds, an amazing bathroom and ample, creative storage solutions.
Portland was just starting to ease on covid restrictions and with our stay being on a Sunday, most of the immediate area was closed or undergoing renovations to reopen. This hotel is in an amazing, central location that would be very convenient to many shops and restaurants once restrictions continue to lift. The bright side in this for us was more time in our beautiful room!

This hotel was recently refurbished and rebranded from the Portland City Center Marriott. Everything about the Bidwell was top notch, furniture, finishes, layout, etc. Rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable.! Location is excellent as well being only a few blocks from the river to go for a run as well as within short walking to distance to a number of fantastic establishments in the Pearl District. I cannot leave out the staff who went out of their way to remember our party by name and always being available for any assistance during the entire length of our stay....superb team!!
We also reserved one of their smaller party rooms to celebrate a 'covid college graduation'. Kassie and her team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs while adhering to the current guidelines in Portland. Thank you again Kassie!! They were able to customize the room with the school's color in the floral arrangements along with providing a cocktail especially crafted for the 2 graduates from Jeremy who was a rock star behind the bar!!
We come to Portland somewhat regularly and have now found our new place to stay. We cannot wait to get back on the property.

My family and I stayed at the Bidwell for 4 days and 3 nights while we visited downtown Portland. The Bidwell’s location is ideal for seeing things downtown, and its walking distance to a number of shops and iconic Portland attractions. We selected it because of how close it is to the Portland Art Museum and its proximity to all major streets to make getting around easier.
The Bidwell is updated with fresh designs and a very cool modern feel. We spent two nights at the High Horse restaurant and bar. There was great live music Friday night with drink & app specials, Saturday was more subdued. We enjoyed all the appetizers, but the confit flautas were a favorite. Bradley and Ryan ran the bar and delivered excellent service and great drinks. A few friends met up with us and remarked on how friendly everyone at the Bidwell was.
Service is where the Bidwell really shines. Jamelyn, the concierge was great with answering all of my pre-arrival questions and had excellent recommendations on sites to see and places to eat. She also answered questions about parking and recommended the room & parking package. That was a life saver, Portland can be spotty with parking options and it was relaxing to have a go-to option. Cameron, the valet was always available and had our car ready quickly every time we left the premises. We will be staying again at the Bidwell when we visit Portland.

My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary and really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is centrally located near plenty of restaurants and many of the main Portland attractions. The room was a very good size and we had excellent service throughout the 2 days we stayed; we really enjoyed the more modern look the hotel has taken on. Our valet Eric really put my nerves at ease; I had an incident occur with another hotel with my vehicle so I was a little weary placing my car in someone else's hands. Eric showed a surprising amount of professionalism and handled my vehicle in a courteous manner. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Bidwell to anyone looking to be in a central location to see the best parts of Portland.

There is not a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. You do have two options to get to us from the airport. The MAX light rail system red line starts in baggage claim and has a stop 2 blocks from the hotel. Or you can take a taxi/Uber from the airport to the hotel. Look forward to having you as our guest.
Hello Mep1027. Thank you for the question. Our windows do not open. We can provide a fan if you would like to help with air movement.
Hello LKhor,
We do have breakfast (and lunch) available through room service! Our restaurant opens for dine in at 4pm.
Thanks for your question!
They were remodeling when we were there in December but we were not inconvenienced by it. The remodeling was on the first floor and the only thing there was the valet you check in on the third floor I believe. I hope this helps
