Just returned from another visit to Turtlejane's, and each time I am reminded of how much I love it. The room I always take (with the private porch) has such a splendid view, and you can hear the surf so well from the natural accoustics (the way the mountain wraps itself around the water). Breakfasts and daily treats are delectable - worth raving about. I like the joint (shared) kitchen area - with full-size refrigerator and micro if needed, though I always eat at Roseanne's Cafe, a short walk away, with their 5-star dinners (and 3-star prices). Jane and Don are terrific hosts - warm, funny, engaging and delightful. It is a wonderful place to rejuvenate. Hosts really do go out of their way to surprise and delight. (e.g., the apple crisp and a bowl of whipped cream! OMG it was good.)…

Stunning view from our room....cozy and super clean,,,,,great breakfast, super hosts. But wait there's more! Oceanside is a quiet town off the main drag. You can walk to town and on to the beach without the traffic of most coastal towns. We loved it and we enjoyed talking to our hosts. It is a no brainer if you are looking for a romantic get-away for two on the North coast of Oregon.

This couple will go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It's a go back place. We've been here twice and will be back again. Thx Jane and Don for the terrific experience. The view and the sounds of the Pacific will soothe you to sleep. Great accommodations and outstanding food. Can't wait for the Cookbook to come out!

Let's start with the drawbacks: 1) They are not going to make your room up. So, if you are going to stay for more than 1 night, you are going to make your bed and keep the bathroom clean 2) There is not a common living room area, which it means that, a part from breakfast time, you are going to spend your entire stay in your bedroom. The bedrooms: Tortola - A little bit squeezed and its parking spot is a little tricky even for a smaller car, but the view from the bedroom is probably the best. Tortuga - Roomier, parking spot easy to access, has a deck with a great view, but no shower. And now the 5 star part, which will make you forget the drawbacks: the breakfast is delicious and abundant, one of the best we ever experienced. You will be talking about it for a while.
