Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed here for two nights and were happy with our stay.
The room was modest and a little tired, but clean and comfortable. Parking was available right outside the room with wide bays that meant your neighbour wont be banging his door into your car.
The complimentary continental breakfast was simple but adequate with juice, cereal, toast and tea or coffee.
We would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed in a Deluxe Double. This motel is worth every bit of five stars, particularly for the price. Lovely situation with beautiful garden and very good pool. The service is excellent and the unit and everything to do with the motel is spotless. Room was not large but very well laid out and extremely comfortable.. Room facilities are in excellent order and the unit has all the touches. No cutting back using Covid as an excuse here. The included breakfast is minimal but for a small additional cost it can become a very satisfactory start to the day. Everyone is courteous.
Overall a delightful short stay in Ulverstone and if we stay there again it will be at this motel.

The room was an older style and quite small but it was clean and very comfortable. The reverse cycle air con was modern and quiet and worked well. The beds seemed new and were very comfortable and we slept very well. There was no external noise at all. Shower was great with a strong stream of hot water.
Wifi was free and fast.
Great free continental breakfast with a paid hot breakfast if you are so inclined.
Friendly manager and a nice place for two nights.

We stayed in an executive room, just myself and my 9 year old son, for one night whilst visiting friends and family in Ulverstone.
I would highly recommend staying in the executive rooms as they are much newer and don’t seem to have some of the issues of the older rooms. We never had any trouble.
We had babies in both rooms beside us and never heard any noise all night.
The rooms have been nicely renovated with a good shower, large tv, new AC unit and comfortable beds.
Check in/check out was quick and easy, again we had no issues with timing or the service we received.
The heated pool is a nice bonus though we couldn’t find any pool towels in our room. They need more seating around the pool and the area looks a little drab.
As for the downsides, we have a 4x4 and found the off street parking to be difficult. The angled parking and limited turning areas make it near impossible to get a big vehicle out. We parked on the street instead.
We also had a very bright light right outside our room that was on all night. The curtains didn’t have boxing around the top and light streamed in as bright as day. We thankfully were able to use spare towels across the top to stop it, but this should have been rectified in the renovation as it would be easy to fix.
For $120 a night the executive room was well worth the price and I wouldn’t stay in any other room type when visiting in the future.

Although dated, Nice rooms, great breakfast offered, only negative, hot water in showers is not very hot. Close to beach, close to town. Nice garden area, on site restaurant which is where you go for free continental breakfast. Can get full cooked options as well.

Don’t book here if you expect fair treatment for covid related cancellations. I called 30 hours prior to arrival to advice that I was awaiting a covid test after exposure the timing of which would prevent my travel but because I was inside their 48 hours they insisted on charging a cancellation fee. They did this even though they advised they were likely be able to Re let the room.

+1
This motel is old and very tired. The manager were abrupt and disinterested in providing good communication. The room we booked included breakfast, but we were told it wasn't available unless we paid extra for it. We didnt bother! .The room we were allocated was dingy, with a broken fridge door. The bathroom had a hand basin that was at the height for a child. It had a pokey shower with broken and mouldy tiles. The bed was advertised as a queen but in fact was only a double. Noise from adjacent rooms was disturbing. The aircon clanked and rattled noisily any time it was running and given that the rooms heat up greatly in the summer time, this was a dreadful inconvenience which we reported to the manager. The reply we received was that nothing could be done till Monday. We were there on Thursday and Friday nights.
The cleaners sat and smoked outside any units they were cleaning and the smoke drifted into any other rooms that had the doors left open.
The whole experience was very disappointing. I certainly would not recommend staying there, unless the rooms and the management improve significantly.

We went to the admin area and were given a key for our rooms, it was late in the evening as we had just disembarked the Spirit of Tasmania. On arrival at the motel we were greeted with a friendly offer of a meal which at the time was greatly appreciated. It wasn't cheap - but as I said we appreciated it. The rooms were clean and tidy.

Good check in, room size ok with good bed linen but old desk section and original old cupboards and completely unrenovated bathroom. No vanity and hot and cold tap on sink. Wall hair dryer cord struggling to reach the mirror where you stand to dry your hair.
One tiny bedside table and bedside lights in pelmet on bedhead meaning we couldn’t sit up in bed as heads above pelmet line.
Expected more based on pictures on website .

Not a bad place to stay, rooms were standard motel rooms. Well equipped. Towels had the chewing gum grey look and I was dissappointed to see a shower curtain rather than a glass shower screen. There was a stale smell as you entered the room. Lovely situated for Buttons Beach, Couldn't fault the restaurant, great for both breakfast and dinner
