An 18 bedroom !6Th century family run hotel , it has been owned and run by the Honour family for 40 years. We specialise in making every ones visit to us as comfortable as possible. We are nestled in the beautiful West Sussex countryside and very close to the beach. We have a very cosy bar where we serve fine wines and an impresive selection of ales and home cooked bar food. Our restaurant has table d'hote and a la carte menus proving local line caught fish and delicious home cooked food.

We have always eaten at the Inglenook when we visit Pagham. We booked The Inglenook for 10 of us when we visited Pagham. I wasn’t sure what to expect as the menu was restricted but they assured us they had specials and steaks etc daily. We ordered and we waited and waited and waited for our starters to arrive. After about 45 minutes the waiter returned to tell us that the five steaks from the special were no longer available as the chef had cooked them and he wasn’t happy with them. I questioned why he would be cooking our main when we hadn’t had our starter and the waiter just repeated what he had been told to say. We all re-ordered and I asked how long our starters would be and we’re told they would be out shortly. We waited again another 30 mins and then I asked the Manager what was happening. He said it would be long and apologised. Finally our starters arrived and they were very nice. The mains were good too, even though they were not what we really wanted. I don’t think they were honest with us what happened. I think they forgot to put our order in and then they ran out of steaks as we saw others who arrived after us with steak but they didn’t want to tell us that. It’s such a shame as they just clearly don’t have the kitchen organised correctly yet. The Manager did take the drinks off the bill to compensate which was nice but I would rather have eaten what I wanted to rather than a substitute. We will think twice again before booking again.

I've eaten here before as they have plenty of good vegan options on their menu, and also an excellent selection of vegan (unfined) beers, but this was the first time I'd tried a pizza from their wood-fired pizza oven in the garden, and I was honestly blown away! I'd heard that they were good, but wasn't expecting them to be this good! I went for the Meatless Meatfeast pizza, with vegan meatballs, 'chicken' and 'pepperoni', vegan cheese and a tomato base, and while I'm often less than impressed by vegan meat alternatives, these were really good. They will also happily veganise any of the pizzas on the menu though. Be warned - even if you're a big eater, one will more than fill you up! Service was excellent, and it was great to be able to watch my pizza being cooked while enjoying a beer in the lovely garden. I was talking to the chap making the pizzas (Tony, I think), and he said they only fire up the oven a few times a week, so worth checking before you pitch up. Highly recommended!

My partner and myself booked at the Inglenook for a family get-together because we wanted to take our dog and were very impressed with how accomodating the staff were to our needs. The room was clean and well presented and the English breakfast was first-class. The bar area is very nice and the terrace is spacious and beautiful. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. There's a relaxed and homely ambience throughout and Pagham has a quiet rural feel as there's little through traffic. Highly recommended for getting away from it all.

Just returned from a one night stay at Inglenook. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel has a quirky but good ambience. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. Wine was slightly overpriced but the food was worth it! My only complaint is the state of the windows which are in desperate need of a clean. The hotel room was clean and had all we wanted but was slightly claustrophobic and in need of an update. We would stay again for that quirky feel and the great food!

The place looks lovely and had good food reviews, so booked a table to eat. Despite this we were left standing for 15 minutes, due to the layout there is no obvious place to wait but it was obvious we needed seating, three members of staff walked past with not even a hello I’ll be with you in a minute, no acknowledgement at all. We then asked the batman who told us to wait and somebody would see us. That person then walked past us and the one who was supposed to see us, still not a word between them or us. Finally seated to a wet table top, no cushions on the seats so more waiting for those. Drinks finally arrived and food ordered- roast dinner which had obviously been left sat under a heat plate, never had roast potatoes which have needed a steak knife to cut through them before today. Chicken Katsu curry wasn’t Katsu, just a chicken escalope cut up with sauce which was starting to congeal, again obviously left somewhere before being served. Disappointing.
