Third time at this particular Premier Inn and it was as good as the other two. Breakfast was excellent as always and the staff were very friendly, approachable and happy to advise on travel options. Resolved any issues as best as they could.

This was our second time staying at Premier Inn Ashington and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. We were welcomed with friendly reception staff and given heart shaped chocolates as it was a Valentines break and we found more free chocolates in our room which was a nice surprise. We slept really well and had a lovely view over the lake from our room. The hotel is next door to the Woodhorn Colliery Museum which is well worth a visit and can be reached from the hotel by a woodland walk. We enjoyed delicious meals in the Cookhouse and Pub next door with excellent service with a smile. We also enjoyed a nice day out at nearby Newbiggin by the sea which is a lovely seaside resort. It was a long drive from Lancashire to Ashington but we’ll worth the journey for a lovely 3 night break.

I stay over night once a month here in order to visit family and it’s a lovely clean and comfortable hotel. The hotel staff here are lovely and helpful. I have never had any issues with anything at the hotel.

Good quality as ever. Good service, clean and quiet location with good access to the whole county - just what's needed for when I visit for work as on this occasion or when we come for a short break to explore as a family. The location is great in the country park and seeing the swans is always a bonus.

We stayed at this hotel due to having an early hospital appointment in Wansbeck General Hospital it was a perfect location for doing this as it was a less than ten minute drive away which made getting there for our appointment so much easier so if your looking for a hotel never Wansbeck general I highly recommend. On top of the location the staff were lovely

My partner and stayed at the Premier Inn in Ashington for two nights. We a had a pleasant. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Only one socket at the side of the bed. Plenty of pillows and spare quilts under the bed. USB plug under TV didn't work. Decent shower and the bed was comfortable. We didn't have the best room as it faced on to a main road. We would stay here again but next time we stay we will ask for a room facing the lake as the one we had faced on to a main road.

Ashington is on the main coastal road to visit Bamburgh, Alnwick, Seahouses etc so is perfect as a stop-over for a couple of nights. Despite the inexpensive cost, don't be put off: the location itself is pretty stunning by daylight, the rooms are up to the usual high standard of comfort and the staff are lovely and willing to respond to any query. There is a huge restaurant/bar attached with an excellent choice of good, reasonable priced food. Be aware that locals use it too for breakfasts and evening meals, so do book in advance else you might be left without a table at all, and there is nowhere else to dine within 2 miles.

Weekend stay to visit some family, as usual room lovely and clean, reception friendly and a couple of biscuits in the room to welcome us. Didn't have any food next door but had a couple of drinks. Next visit booked for in the New Year.
