Situated just two miles from the historic market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire, Brompton Lakes is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The 5-star self-catering lodges are set in 26 acres of privately owned land and are designed to complement the natural features of this stunning lakeside location. The 21 award-winning lodges are distinctive and contemporary, each with their own unique style and with 3-6 bedrooms. Surrounded by woodland and open countryside, enjoy private hot tubs, a tennis court, the lake and river fishing, and mountain bikes all exclusively for guests. Cannot stop returning here. We love it! Lodges are beautiful and all major supermarkets deliver. Plenty to do in terms of activities including tennis, basketball, boules and a playing field. 5k ish walk into Richmond. Or just sit and relax. Outdoor seating and dining is provided giving you multiple options to read/relax/eat. It’s a perfect spot to relax and a perfect base to be out and about - or do a bit of both! We also booked activities at Adrenalin NY just in Richmond which was a great way to spend a few hours!

This was our 3rd visit to brompton lakes and once again we loved every minute. We have stayed in William, on the East Lake, each time which is perfect but next year we have booked Flora next door, just for a change. Once again highly recommended

Lodge is 10/10 grounds need attention lots of overgrown trees and bushes.. lake is un fish able due neglect overgrown pond weed reeds left to grow wild around every fishing peg disappointing. When they start to listen to customers as this has.been on lots of reviews about the lake etc

Absolutely love Brompton Lakes. Everything from the online booking to the accommodation always immaculate and very private. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped and overall can’t fault it. Have already booked again for 2024.

Had a fabulous weekend break in Willow lodge. Very well equipped. Beautiful location. Very clean. Would definitely recommend this place. I would choose the same lodge again, or Abbey or Isabelle as they are furthest away from the A1 so less traffic noise. Only issue I had was that the mattress in the bedroom with the en-suite was a little too soft and had a big dip in the middle - probably is due for replacement.

Anglers, there are no fish in either lake, majority of fishing pegs adjoining each lodge are un fishable due to the over grown pond weed and unsightly blanket weed, the lake is not maintained, you can read other reviews with answers from the management saying they are working on it, this never happened as you can see the dates of the reviews with no improvements to the lake, as for the fish and after finding a place were there wasn't any weed I spent two morning without a single bite, other anglers who arrived later in the week and had the same result, a family with two boys also arrived to fish and were very disappointed. I spoke to the staff in reception and was told they have given up stocking the lake as they were fed up feeding the local wildlife, apparently Otters come up from the River Swale which is next to the site, this could be easily fixed if a fence was erected long the perimeter next to the river, The staff also told me that their Website explains that they do not stock the lakes, Ive asked them update the Website 1st page stating there are no fish in the lake, I don't feel any improvements to the lake will happen as they don't have to as the place is fully booked up, I image this posting will get the usual reply on how sorry they are that I'm disappointed and that they are working hard to rectify problems regarding the lake, Yeh right...! On a positive the lodges are beautiful and spotlessly clean, there are local Fisheries close by all the Otter proof fences.…

Top class lodges very clean and modern everything you need for a peaceful retreat with family or as a couple. Wild life fab. Nice walks, Richmond close by great shops. Customer service at the lodge nothing a problem. Replacement logs were regular log fire a must as it was snowing , underfloor heating system fab, we will return.

Brompton Lakes was amazing. Spotlessly clean and an ideal relaxing location with fabulous views across the lake. We stayed in Charlie and would highly recommend it. Very dog friendly and anything you would possibly need was available. There was an abundance of logs to use which is unusual (having stayed in other lodges where we have to provide more after just 1 day this was a lovely welcome touch). A welcome basket aswell with milk, butter and other items was very useful and appreciated. Reception staff and maintenance were very polite and helpful - as was everyone else we met. We were so impressed we have booked up again for Christmas. We were curious about the other style lodges and were able to view an empty one before rebooking which made our decision so easy. Nothing was too much trouble and our extra requests for Christmas were met with "its no trouble at all". A well run business with dedicated staff is a sure sign of 100% deserved success.…
