Detailed Reviews
We are currently staying in the area and have visited The Crown for drinks on a couple of occasions. There is a pleasant garden and we found the staff to be very professional at all times. We decided to eat here on our final evening and initially had a very pleasant start. A good selection of drinks augmented by a decent menu and a “Specials” board. While waiting for our meal two unruly dogs arrived at the table next to us- something that is totally unnecessary. Water bowls were upset resulting in members of staff being detracted into clearing up. As we were eating, a group of loud, arrogant locals chose to dominate the restaurant, making our retreat a hasty one. Our meal was of a good quality but somewhat spoilt by unwanted interference.

We came here for dinner one night which was okay but we probably wouldn’t rush back.
Our table wasn’t in the cosiest place however we hadn’t booked and had our dog with us so that was possibly why.
Food was nice but nothing special. I had the Fishcakes which tasted mainly of potato and hardly of fish at all, but they also came with new potatoes, so a lot of potato!
Food was also quite expensive for what it was.
Staff however were friendly and service was fast

Stopped off in Emsworth to find a light lunch. Spotted the Crown and the menu looked just what we were after. I chose the sausage with caramelised onion on white ciabatta, would have preferred white bread, but on the whole was very nice. We both upgraded from crisps to chips. Great value for money

Menu 1 was excellent with a wide range of choices - meats and vegetarian. Dedicated room for 21 had seating arranged and the speaker turned off ! Karen did the arranging and was very helpful on the day and in planning. Very much improved decor etc compared to the past. Michael from Essex

Dear Adi, Gary and the entire team
Thankyou so much for having us for our daughters christening party in the summer.
The whole team was BRILLIANT right from Adis meetings with us, organising what food and drink, to setting up the function room in the middle of the pandemic, every single thing went so smoothly we can't thank you enough. Huge thankyou to lovely Evie who, as always, goes out of her way to make us feel welcome and make sure we are always happy and makes our daughter so happy, possibly the friendliest member of staff in the entire south coast!
The crown did a fantastic buffet style meal for our 30 guests (limited due to covid rules at the time) and we had the choice of any food at all! Adi organised our own bar upstairs in his function room and we had our own bar staff up there, we had an Alexa for music, cake table, it was decorated beautifully with crisp white table sheets.
We had a really great time and would definitely recommend the crown for anyone wanting to have a party in emsworth, it was as stress free as possible be ause Adi and his staff made it like that.

We are regular visitors to this friendly pub, however this was the first time since it's complete make over and it looks fabulous - light and clean and fresh everywhere!
The staff were as welcoming and charming as always. Karen as front of house never fails to make us feel well looked after and cared about. Her attention to detail and memory for what we like and need is truly amazing!
The food was faultless, very very tasty and plenty of it. The simple menu offers plenty of choice and a great variety of dishes too.
I can only shower the staff with praise for the care they took generally looking after people as they arrived, whether it was just to enjoy a drink or a meal. I would recommend a visit to this cosy pub wholeheartedly and for sure, we will be back!

Had lunch here today and couldn't fault it. The chicken and bacon pie, chips and vegetables were all delicious, as was my friends cod chips and peas. The staff were friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money. We will definitely go back.

A Rare Breed a brilliant Pub Restaurant;- having just walked from a local Travel Lodge all we wanted was a good meal at a reasonable price. The Crown didn’t disappoint. It was well ran by a young staff who cared about giving good service.
They were attentive to our needs and showed a high level of customer service.
The food we had was the Steak Pie from the Specials board which was brilliant. This was followed by an excellent selection of sweets.

Unfortunately we've never had breakfast at the crown only dinner, so I can't answer your question
