Detailed Reviews
This lovely, family hotel is set back a little from the main road and a 20 minute walk direct from the train station at Emsworth.
I stayed here whilst visiting my daughter who is based on Thorney Island.
The hotel is an older building that has been given a sympathetic yet contemporary makeover.
My single room ( double bed) was tastefully furnished and decorated. Everything was supplied from towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand-wash, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. It was clean and sumptuous and gave me that wonderful, cosy feeling of home from home.
Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent, everything you wanted from full English to Greek yoghurt and fruit. Coffee was fresh ground and served in individual cafetieres.
The front lounge area was set out with fresh daily newspapers and there was a sense of peace and tranquility about the place, which I appreciated and needed.
The hotel has plenty of parking and has, to the rear of the premises, it's own little cafe that sells cakes, coffee, sandwiches etc.
This is not a big hotel like some of the larger franchise groups, but it is by far the best hotel I have stayed in for a long time. Everything is geared up to make you feel as comfortable and at home as possible, including the delightful waiting on staff who serve you breakfast.
I am hoping to visit again in a few months time as I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.

We visited Jingles a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed our stay so decided to have another short break away in the picturesque town of Emsworth.
We were warmly greeted by Paul the owner, he was very informative regarding the local area and the best places to go for an evening meal etc. The weather was fantastic during our stay so we also went on some fantastic walks, routes provided by Paul.
Jingles itself has had a makeover during lockdown, the lounge is looking very stylish and the general decor in the room was fresh and bright.
Due to covid restrictions sadly a full sit down breakfast could not be catered for. Instead we were offered a breakfast bag delivered to our room, the contents were all high end produce, ie tropicana orange juice, nature valley cereal bar etc. We were also offered a hot sandwich, we had the works, bacon egg and sausage the first day, absolutely delicious. Cereal and toast were also available so we requested that on our second morning. Made a change to have breakfast in bed and we appreciated the safety aspect of not having to mix with too many people.
All in all, we had a fantastic stay and will definetely be returning.

Myself and my fiancé stayed for one night at jingles.
We found hairs on the bed!! And odd green stains.
The bed itself is tiny and lumpy with a hard mattress and the pillows are awful.
The rooms are very small and so basic with odd old wooden side cabinets that can’t hold anything on and everything slides off them. This looks nothing like the website pictures at all and how they have four stars is beyond me!!
This is well over a mile to town, although the manager tried to tell us it was 15min walk, it’s more like 25mins.
Breakfast was very random we went down, no one greeted us we just sat at a table we saw one grumpy older lady with an apron on glare at the toaster then storm off, didn’t see her again, so the owner came after a while and served us. You have to get your own toast, drinks and all other bits and bobs in a very cramped environment. We weren’t asked how we’d like our eggs and just given both a full English which was ok but nothing special. The decaffeinated tea I had was absolutely awful. There is no choice of breakfast it’s just a full English or some salmon very strange choices.
Outside is a lovely little cafe by the pond, with a bus now for afternoon tea this seemed really pleasant and we had a drink here before we left.
Jingles could be better if they revamped there rooms and sorted out there bedding and cleaning issues and painted there very dark hallway as you can barely see down it.
Wouldn’t go back as this really is a catfish of a place, there website is very clever so whoever designed it deserves all there A stars as it’s brilliantly shown something that simply doesn’t exist!!

Arrived and rang the bell no response rang again no response had to call the desk and then got in ! Not a good start! Had about 10 suitcases but no help offered. The room- the curtains too thin and falling off the pole, the sheets only half covered the mattress, the radiator in the toilet never came on, a small shower with sticky doors, bad water pressure, the TV at an awkward angle so we got a sore neck, pillows like old saggy bags, mattress hard and very small double so one of us slept in the single bed . The furniture is very tired and needs updating and a material headboard is pretty weird in a hotel. The housekeeper or someone came in our room( coronovirus regulations say they shouldn't) to replenish coffee etc
The take away breakfast was good that's all I have to say.

Nice public areas, receptionist available on arrival. We were there for the Goodwood members meet so we expected it to be busy and arrived early. Possibly the first or second to check in. We had made the booking 6 months prior. We were given what I thought must have been the smallest room in the hotel - No. 20. It looked out onto the car park but was clean and quiet. However, the bed was truly awful. And I mean awful. It was barely a double and was so old and the mattress was so hard I had back pain for the whole weekend. You couldn’t turn over without knocking each other and we both had two very unsettled nights. It was extremely disappointing. The towels were very small and as it was a shower over a bath it was a military operation to get in and out without slipping. Not a big deal but a consideration if you have limited mobility. The breakfast was really lovely. Great eggs and bacon and the best staff that I have come across in a very long time and we stay in lots of varied places. Lots of good off road car parking and in a great position in Emsworth which is a really lovely little place to visit. Wouldn’t book this hotel again though …. The bedrooms need more than just a refurb - they need much better beds and bigger towels. It wasn’t cheap compared to others and as we didn’t see the receptionist again during our stay we couldn’t raise our queries. Also be aware of the key to get you back in at night …. Ours was a bit tricky to use and in the end we had to bang on a window to be let in - others said the same so the lock could do with being replaced.

Stayed at the jingles early June, we have family who live near so it's location was ideal, greeting was very friendly and our room was spotless and very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, very good quality bacon & sausage .the staff very efficient and friendly, I would definitely recommend this hotel, there is also a lovely coffe shop at the back of the property which is well worth a visit. oh! and it's an easy walk down to the very picturesque emsworth with it's lovely walk round the sea wall and it's pleasant pubs.

I would have loved to give five stars, as the room was very pleasant and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee supplies in the room, including bottled water, were generous and there was a water dispenser in reception where you could help yourself to ordinary or chilled water. The breakfast was excellent. BUT the mattress was unbelievably hard. Not nice for two 78/80 year-olds. The bath towels were small and the water pressure in the shower was prone to changing suddenly so you had to be careful not to get scalded.

I’ve been staying at this hotel weekly for a few weeks , and have too say it’s one of the most best run hotels I’ve stayed in.
From the owner too the receptionist and the Gardner, everyone that works here makes sure this place is a excellent place too stay.
The rooms are all excellent and I’ve stayed in a few of them, the area the hotel is very beautiful and safe to walk in the evenings , the beds are so comfy, and the best thing about this place is the breakfast, it’s with our the best breakfast in any hotel in the uk..
As you can guess I like this hotel, I stay in hotels a lot and know what I’m talking about.
This is a 5 star hotel with extras , people that truly know what a hotel should be.
Well done to Paul and all his staff for making this place a great place too visit.
I’m looking forward to my next two months staying here weekly for a few days ..
Thanks

We stayed for a mini break and we had a triple room that consisted of a double bed and a single. It also has an en-suite with shower and breakfast included. On arrival we had brought our bikes and Marcella and her husband were extremely accommodating and helped us secure them. The room was more than enough for us as two adults and a teenager. The breakfast in my eyes was delicious and locally sourced and Marcella and her team especially Emma couldn’t do enough for you. They even made my son a bacon sandwich to take away as he was ready for breakfast. Also Susie on reception during the evening was really lovely, again nothing is too much trouble. We locally brought fish and chips and she got us some plates and knife and fork to eat in the lounge. There is also ample on site parking . Would definitely go back and would highly recommend as a place to stay however long xx
Also it’s very close to most local points of interest, while there we went to Hayling Island, Portsmouth and hopped over to the Isle of Wight on the hovercraft

I stayed for two nights in a single room and found everything about Jingles very pleasant and efficient. All the facilities worked, and the staff were helpful and friendly despite it being busy at the time. There are not many affordable b&b options in this location and I would be very happy to use it again. Thanks to those who made my stay so comfortable.

Yes they do. Jingles is a very nice place to stay and about 7 minutes drive to the sea.
I was not aware of a lift in the hotel. However my friends were in a spacious ground floor room. The rooms had lovely walk in showers. There is ample parking in the grounds of the hotel, all on the flat. If one suffers mobility issues, especially with a wheelchair, I could not recommend this hotel as it is a period building. The staff are friendly and very helpful and I believe they would go the extra mile to be of assistance as much as possible. Perhaps a phone call to the hotel would be a good idea to discuss a particular need.
