Great stay. At first wasnt sure where to find the huts lack of signage but plenty of people to help you find where your going. The signage of singles was great just finding the huts tricky. We were the only occupants for the first night which was nice. When we arrived we had a phone call you let us know which hut was ours and info on facilities. In the hut is everything you need except towels but we popped to tesco down the the road to buy some. Great facilities outside fire pit and cooking station. They also provide cups, plates, bowls, glasses, kettle, pots and pans and utensils and a gas camping stove. Really glamping style feel like a luxurious camp. With great toilet and shower facilities. Great stay yo see other places highly recomend Petersfield. Hailing island pretty sunrise. Stones through from Portsmouth. Beautiful walks, great local amenities. Friendly people. Brilliant stay highly recommend will bring our son next time.
Lots of vegan and gluten free places to eat locally.

A wonderful relaxing stay, great to be able to hear the sounds of nature and watch shooting stars in the dark sky at night. Facilities were immaculate and incredibly high standard. I was travelling alone but the other guests on site were staying in shepherds huts/bell tents that were secluded and out of sound and sight. Would wholly recommend.

This is a little Gem - nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it feels like you are miles from anywhere (very peaceful) but in reality you are a short car journey (or a walk) away from all you need.

Myself, husband and 2 daughters (6&10) stayed in a bell tent for 2 nights at the beginning of September with our crazy Viszla dog.

Communication with Laura before the stay was great, and the directions to drive in were appreciated (as you do drive through the farm!)

The tent was amazing - the bed was SO SO SO comfy! Infact too comfy as both our daughters ending up bed stealing! The camp beds were great aswell, but not in the same league as the main bed! The duvet was huge and lovely, the tent was super warm, despite it being September and we didn't use the log burner the first night. We used it on the second night, not because we needed the heat, but we didn't want to miss out!

I was concerned that our children may react somewhat negatively to the 'facilities' and I admit I didn't know what to expect.

The composting toilet is great (no smell AT ALL) although can be slightly dark at night (there is a push light inside, but you'll need your torch on route anyway!) There is hand sanitiser, but no running water for handwashing. But a proper toilet seat and lovely toilet roll (who gives a crap)

The shower was an 'experience'!! Gas fired, and SO warm (40 degrees) but there is no lock, and they are shared facilities. It is totally rustic (as described) and you can see the sky while you shower! I know in time the site will add facilities to each tent/hut and that would be great. But we managed. My children described it as the best experience ever - but luckily they were so excited they didn't see the spiders - not so sure I would have got them in there if they had seen them!

I would take some oil for cooking (only one pan provided and it struggled) and we didn't have a tea towel or washing up liquid so that was interesting! There is a single gas camping stove provided and sadly our bottle ran out part way through cooking a meal and no spare. But we improvised and overcame the problem, but would be good to have a spare in the tent.

There are no play areas for the kids, but it didn't matter, the kids had a great time and it was refreshing to be 'off grid'

We walked to the local pub - The Barley Mow in Walderton, we wouldn't make that mistake again as part of the walk was along a national limit country road, but the pub was amazing and VERY dog friendly and Covid measures in place.

We also walked to Stansted tea rooms (not far at all) which is a MUST.

All in all, we had an amazing time, and our children have said they had the BEST time ever - I have already sent an email to return (this time we will try the Shepherds hut)

A few things to be done to improve to get a 5* from us, but not far off.

Let's see how the hut compares.
