Stayed with my mum for a couple of nights, and could not have been better taken care of. The house and grounds are fabulous, and breakfasts were delicious (my 89 year old mum said it was the best fruit salad she had ever eaten!) This would be a great venue for a family gathering or group of friends to stay. I would recommend it without reservation, and I am looking forward to staying at Hollybank House again in the future.

An excellent place in all respects. Lovely clean well looked after rooms. Bathrooms excellent.(The electric showers provide first class pressure in this grade 2 building). The lovely public rooms are spacious and available to residents. Apparently it is 10 acres to sit in with quiet views. Apparently an hour to Brighton. It was very easy to get here from London on the A3. Easy to find. This is a terrific place to stay.

Beautiful house and room, very clean, delicious breakfast and very friendly owner - we enjoyed our stay here very much. Also only about a 20 min drive to wonderful beach at West Wittering. Many thanks, Sarah and family

Such a beautiful country house, added bonus was that we could take our well behaved dog (surcharge, but understandable). Beautiful period features everywhere, and the grounds were amazing. After a full day on the water it was an absolute oasis and we could not have been made more welcome with valuable information on the local area, tides and even boat insurance! (Thank you!) Breakfast choice was varied and perfectly cooked, locally made sausages were so tasty and we certainly dined in style. Bed was also super comfortable and the room outstanding: we felt spoilt. Absolutely nothing to fault about this establishment: to call it a 'hotel' seems like a disservice. It was wonderful and we will stay again.

Fabulous place to stay. Peaceful calm and relaxing. Great hosts. Take a walk in the garden. Sit and drink a sundowner. The room we had was large. With comfortable beds and a massive bath. We came with our 5 year old. He loved the garden and the house

This is a great place to stay and in the middle of EVERYWHERE! And a handsome and well looked after home too. I stayed with a friend for Goodwood FoS and the team at Hollybank couldn’t do enough for us. The recommendations for local food and drink were spot on and local knowledge invaluable for running/cycling and getting to Goodwood. I will definitely be trying to book here again in future with my better half. And breakfast was lovely on both mornings. 👍🏼👍🏼

This is a gracious country house in a very quiet location, surrounded by gardens, orchards and woodland. We have stayed in three of the four rooms on different occasions. The Williams family have owned it over three generations, and one is made to feel like a guest of the family. The house has retained its 1820s character while providing modern standards of accommodation. It is nice to see some environmentally friendly measures such as milk and jam in glass jars and no individually wrapped toiletries.

We spent just one night at Hollybank House with my immediate family (husband and son) and my in-laws. We stayed in the Green Room, a family room with a double and single bed. Very spacious and the toilet facilities/shower were perfectly adequate. The room is appointed in a historic manner but very comfortable. My in-laws were in a slightly smaller, but still very nice room. Hollybank House shines though, because of the gardens and the estate. We really enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds, checking out the treehouse, the trampoline and the many secret garden areas. I also loved having the Hollybank Woods nearby for a run/walk. Breakfast in the am was excellent, made to order with several choices. We enjoyed talking with Viv and Anna, who own the property.

Excellent stay, very welcoming and lovely breakfast. Fantastic grounds and able to have full access to these. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and biscuits in room. Clean and good quality fixtures and fittings and lovely that the original fixtures and fittings of this period property were intact and not kept out of bounds to guests.

My Wife and I took a long (for us) e-bike ride from our home near Brighton to Emsworth. We booked direct and it was £50 cheaper than going through the usual sites, so bear that in mind. What a lovely place very informal, very much a family run place. A peaceful and tranquil idyll. If you are in the Emsworth area make this place your choice to stay you will not regret it.
