#1 of 64 Specialty lodging in Dalhousie
Zostel Dalhousie is a quaint, scenic backpacker hostel among Himalayan peaks of Chamba. A travelers' den to feel & explore the beauty of Dalhousie. Named after a British Viceroy in India, Dalhousie is the gateway to Chamba Valley. Travelers flock to this hill station to enjoy the weather, the beauty, and the distant views of the snow-clad mountains. However, that’s not all Dalhousie has to offer. One has more than a slight chance to catch a glimpse of a bear or two in Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary or to explore the gushing Satdhara Falls. But the cherry on the cake is definitely Khajjiar - ‘Switzerland of India’ - a beautiful meadow situated just outside Dalhousie. Zostel Dalhousie lies slightly away from the civilisation, about 3 Km from the main Gandhi Chowk of Dalhousie. Come and sip your coffee at the in-house cafe with snowy mountains visible in the distance.

Let me tell you frankly ,zostel has created such an worthwhile ambience here . You will get the true hostel vibes at this place , I have recommended this place to everyone even on my youtube channel. The Interiors of this stay will make you extend your stay and watching the dense green mountains early morning from that balcony is a thing I always get nostalgic about Cons - 1-You dont get parking here 2-Its 6kms apart from Town so make sure you have your own vehicle or a permanent taxi sort off. 3-Its not exactly on road ,so you have to get down around 50 stairs . 4-Food here is a bit expensive although stay is cheap

I had such a great time visiting Zostel Dalhousie on a solo trip. The weather was to die for and the places around the zostel were amazing especially the Magic Tree cafe and Amroha restaurant. I also had the company of Vipin bhai who added on to my experience by accompanies me to explore Dalhousie and made the trip even better. Highly recommend!

The location of this zostel is simply amazing. The view is simply breathtaking with valleys and mountains covered with coniferous trees. We had the opportunity to hang out with the owners which was the highlight of the trip. Their company and stories made our stay even more worthwhile. However, the state of the rooms and washrooms could have been better. Plus the food at the property was not so good. Would recommend the owners hire few more chefs and enhance their menu. We had much much better food at Zostel Kaza before.

A great-great place to be in. Checked in for 2 days as a solo traveller. I haven't imagined even in my dreams what these 2 days had in a store for me. It was pure fun. Even if you are solo, you'll soon find yourself surrounded by a bunch of people. After spending just first few hours, I almost forgot till the time of check-out that I had come solo to this place:) Staff is extremely friendly and they are there for you all the time. Place has all sorts of things to keep you hooked, music, board games, uno, bonfire etc. A one-of-its-kind place to be in and make memories!
