Hotel is 4 km above from Gandhi chowk. You can opt a cab which charge you 200 or 300 rs. It's upto you how can you bargain. If you want to enjoy the adventure you can walk through the roads as well. It will take you 30 min. Talking about the hotel the room is spacious enough. Hotel staff was also cooperative. Food pricing is quite high but it was delicious. Try to book upper floor, you will definitely get good view. The picture I have posted is from 1st floor. Car parking area is behind the hotel.
Got the worst service ever at Mount Grace Autograph collection Hotel in Magalies this past week. I reserved a hotel stay for 6 nights which worked to about R18, 000.00. I was assisted by the Deputy General Manager of the Hotel who I specifically told I would be travelling from Botswana. He requested for my card details which I gladly availed.. I asked him at the time if they wanted to effect the payment then and he indicated that no they would not be doing that. I then told him I would pay upon arrival when checking in. The following week I went on a safari trip in the Bush and upon returning there I travelled with my two kids 7 and 9 all the way from Botswana to South Africa, Magalies. Upon arrival I was told my booking was cancelled due to none payment, they claimed to have sent me an email which to date they have failed to provide proof. I further asked them if any sensible person could drive across borders when they knew their booking was cancelled.. Especially with kids. I have since complained to Morne and Dasilva (asst GM & GM respectively) who seem not bothered to respond to my letter. My family vacation plans were messed up by an incompetent, discourteous hotel employee. Furthermore, we struggled to get accommodation during this peak period(28th December 2019 to 4th Jan 2020). I suspect they decided to give away our room as a favour to their associates and claimed to have contacted us... Very disappointing…
Though the hotel was far from the market area but located in a peaceful place. The room service was great .. Actually we booked the hotel through Goibibo were it was given good rating..The hotel lived upto its mark and provided good service
I stayed for 2 days. Mr. VIKRAM, the manager is a nice person and gave full cooperation. But the delux room in which we stayed need some improvement otherwise its a nice hotel and staff also cooperated. Food was also good.
The location is a bit away from Dalhousie on the way to Khajjiar Valley just after DPS school. The view is good but what surprised us most was the room. Big with all amenities, it was a good stay here. The food was good too. And the stand out was the service.
