Reserved a campsite at this park because of the good reviews. I would give it an eight out of ten except for the turnpike; and because it was a no-frills campground. The Mini-golf was free, but only had large rocks in the fairways. 18-holes but the artificial grass needed cleaning and swept free of gravel and tree debris. Also needed painting. Robin and Nikki were very personable. A lot of seasonal campers; but everyone we encountered were very pleasant. We would stop here again.

This park was our last stop with two weeks on the road (Mich to Maine) and was one of the best places we stayed! I wish we'd stayed there the whole vacation! The facilities are clean and well maintained, the sites and park roads easy to access with larger rigs, nice walking areas, ponds, a good looking dog park, super friendly staff, reasonable rates, shade trees, dependable hook ups, safe, clean (whew!) AND lots of interesting things to do in the area. I'm really happy that's it's not far from home because I want to go back and camp a while! (As for back East... Not so much!). Evergreen was a delightful end to an otherwise mediocre to bleaah camping vacation. Check out the park if you're looking for a laid back, enjoyable family camping experience, just don't hog the pull thru spots because we'll be back.

This campground is located adjacent to I-90 near the Pennsylvania border. It is visually very appealing with a large lake and lots of trees. Most of the sites are seasonal along with a few cabins. We could hear the traffic on the interstate but it was not overly bothersome. We had a back-in, full hook up site with 50 amp electric. The site was in a back to back configuration with the adjacent site. When we first arrived there was a fifth wheel there and with slides out it was very close. Driveways and the site pads are gravel. Driveways are a bit dusty but they seem to put water on them periodically. They offer free WiFi that was generally good with occasional outages. We had a strong AT&T signal at -93 dBm. We paid $25 per night with Passport America discount.

rented a cabin for 1 day. Although they are newer cabins they are incredibly small and basically just for sleeping. Had it been raining the day our party stayed I don't know what we would have done. I was told our cabin had been cleaned prior to our arriving but the next morning went to make coffee and found used coffee grounds still in the coffee maker, when we went to clean up before leaving we swept up a large pile of dirt including cheerios which was not part of the food we had brought. In my opinion when people call to rent these cabins, they need to be informed that they are not like renting one from a state park. they are more of a sleeping room only. To cram 6 people in something that small...... thank goodness I had no kids with me or we would have not stayed. Couldn't imagine being that cramped, my camper, which sleeps 4 is bigger then the cabin that slept 6.
