We stayed here for a week while attending a funeral. Great location, friendly staff, clean room and public areas, cute bar and breakfast area, there was even live music one night! Only complaint is one elevator was down.

We came to the hotel for the weekend to attend a Cleveland Indians game and this location was perfect. The front desk staff were extremely welcoming and even remembered us by name and greeted us the following evening when we returned from the game. We had a room on the side opposite the highway that was quiet and we didn’t hear noise from neighboring rooms. Great views of Progressive Field and Lake Erie. My only complaint is the rooms could use a good deep cleaning. The bathroom door is getting dingy/dirty on the on the edges from hands touching it (think your pantry door if you don’t wipe it down for a long time), the floor around the shower/toilet/edges was getting a little old looking and dirty, etc. I didn’t feel the room was necessarily dirty overall, but the little things that creep up and make a difference definitely need to be address before they become bigger issues. We felt safe during the day and after the game with a lot of people on the streets, but there is an addiction treatment center directly across the street from the hotel that had a lot of traffic coming in and out. We did notice people walking through the parking lot with backpacks so I definitely wouldn’t leave anything of value in the car.

The Hilton Garden Inn is a great destination choice if you're looking for a hotel very close to Progressive Field. With the baseball season commencing, it was loaded with Guardians (and Seattle fans like me) who came in for opening weekend. This is a clean, basic hotel. I managed to pre-reserve a top floor room facing North (towards downtown and Lake Erie), which was quiet for the most part. These are the even numbered rooms. Occasionally after midnight you'll hear a large muffler-free vehicle come down Carnegie Street. For that reason I wore ear plugs so that I wouldn't awaken. The alternate side faces the freeway which, I sensed, might be more consistently louder (and not nearly as nice a view).

The room was average size for a King. The bed was firm and comfortable. Pillows were not comfortable. Too squishy in my view. The HDTV cable connection is quite old, but basic live TV channels are HD quality. The shower/bathtub is the oldish combo style with no place to put soap and shampoo/conditioner except on the small sides of the bathtub. The shower head, however, provides a nice, hot spray.

Rooms here are only cleaned fully once every 4 days but they will provide fresh towels and amenities as needed. The hotel has a decently equipped fitness room, but not large, and an indoor pool. Parking in back costs $20 + tax per day and even with travelers, there was always room for my car.

It's just a 10 minute walk (if that) to Progressive Field. Very convenient. I did not try the breakfast buffet. There are many better choices in Cleveland, especially if you have a car. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is about a 25 minute walk.

If you want to share the responsibility of making sure you have toilet paper and Kleenex in your room the Hotel Garden in is the place for you. These items along with clean towels are available at the front desk. Your room will be cleaned every 5 th day, breakfast is boxed and may or may not contain an orange, a breakfast bar, boiled eggs, and a bagel. There may or may not be someone at the front desk who knows where the fresh towels, toilet paper, and Kleenex can be found. You may or may not have a room with an air conditioner that functions correctly. You can probably guess that we were in the may not end of things during our stay.

I will say the hotel was clean. But BEWARE you will be overcharged. I booked (with proof) a rate through booking.com. The total price said my room would be $89 plus fees and taxes and $18 extra for parking. The parking lot sign said $18. I got my bill at checkout that charged me $99 for the room plus fees and taxes. $20 to park( because it’s a Wednesday night, they said) and $2.12 for water that I NEVER DRANK. No big deal on the few dollars but it’s the principal plus the lady I spoke to was so nasty. She insisted that her reservation sent over from booking.com says $99 a room and I should be happy because I was getting a deal! Plus she acted like I lied about the damn water! I’ve sent three emails and haven’t gotten a reply. I have proof from booking.com but obviously that doesn’t matter. It’s only $13.76 but it’s the whole idea that’s wrong.

Rates sound good, until you go for breakfast. This place charges. Surprise, surprise. Add $15 per person to the bill.

Also, far less of a problem, they put holding charges of $18/night to park -- reimbursed; and $25 more (reimbursed) for who knows what.

Otherwise, room is fairly large and equipped with a fridge, very typical kind of accommodations nowadays.

Have stayed here several times. Mostly to walk over and catch Baseball game at stadium just down the street. They do charge for parking, but not as bad as the stadium costs. Hotel is clean and staff is terrific. Mattress is a little too firm for me but rooms are nice. Restaurant charges for breakfast buffet but does have nice selection. They will offer Cleveland Clinic discounted rate and will shuttle you to the clinic for appointments if needed.

I stay at Hiltons while travelling for business and this was the first one I stayed at without a complimentary breakfast and also the first one I stayed at that charged for parking plus taxes on the parking charge. I would also check to ensure your credit card gets charged what your receipt says as I had an extra $3.30 charged on my card. Very disappointed with the extra charges, I would rather just see it all charged as one item. Won't be staying here again. Staff was friendly though.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience about your recent stay at our hotel. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and we are very sorry to hear you were disappointed with a lack of a free continental breakfast and parking. Hilton Garden Inn hotels offer a full cooked to order hot breakfast at a cost specified by our property instead of a free limited continental breakfast that other brands may offer. If you would like for the cost of our cooked to order breakfast to be included with the room rate during future stays, please know that you can inquire about our Bed and Breakfast package. Also, ask about our Park and Stay package. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Located close to Progressive field, this hotel features 11 floors or rooms and a very small but well equipped fitness center and indoor pool. Unlike almost all other hotels I’ve stayed in recently this hotel doesn’t offer complimentary hbo and Netflix (with login). Instead they have movies available for purchase for $20 regardless of how long they’ve been available. A few of the channels also appeared to be frozen in time as the same image never changed during my stay. I couldn’t help but notice a stain on the floor outside the elevator and funny smell that might be related. I was unable to connect my tablet the hotel WiFi during my stay (this works fine at other hotels). I probably wouldn’t have mentioned any of this if it wasn’t for the terrible customer service I received just prior to checkout. The night before leaving I requested a late checkout and a blonde lady said I was all set for 1pm. The next morning I was locked out of the parking lot at 12pm. A different lady working at the front desk was completely unapologetic and blamed it on me for not ALSO requesting the late check out on the app (this isn’t a feature otherwise I would have done it instead of going to the front desk). While I was trying to talk to her she kept repeating herself and trying to speak over me. A simple, “I’m sorry for your inconvenience sir” would have been sufficient but instead I felt unwelcome and even more rushed to get out of the hotel.

The service and employees alone make the stay! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and had no real issues. We totally enjoyed our stay, good location, and dog friendly.

Check in was easy. Room was a standard King. I really liked our room and the view made it delightful. Could see all of downtown with the lake in the background. Even though it wasn't newly updated it was still nice and wasn't that outdated for an older hotel. Not a fan of the comforters and pillows but just not my preference. I prefer pillows not so fluffy you get sucked in and prefer comforters that are heavy and not so thin like a throw blanket.

Great view so suggest even room numbers to get the city view. Price point for this hotel appears to be standard. The Lobby and common hours were way clean, nice, and inviting. Checked out the pool, gym, on-site laundry room, and business office but didn't get to use them. It was nice to have those if needed and other guest seemed to really be a fan of the pool. Hopefully next trip.

Check out was easy through the app. The only thing really limited was no housekeeping option during the stay but linens and items available as needed or refreshed.

I do want to highlight throughout the stay every single employee was super nice and encoring and makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Some Hilton hotels have slipped in this area and could learn from this staff from the front desk to housekeeping.

Would totally stay here again and would highly recommend the location if you are traveling with a dog.
