The hotel is away from the main highway, so it was quiet, a big plus. We were warmly welcomed. We had a very good meal at the restaurant. Don't miss the stained glass windows at St Paul's Anglican Church.
We chose to stay here because it was close to the town centre and not on a highway. We heard no traffic noise and could walk to supermarket and to eat at a couple of main street restaurants. The motel offers free pick-up from the airport and all the staff were welcoming, friendly and considerate. Our room was upstairs. There was plenty of natural light through a window opening onto the public veranda leading to other rooms. The window looked onto the wall and roof of the hotel’s main building. The blockout blind was good and the room was pleasantly dark overnight. The surfaces in our room and the linen were clean, there were a couple of stains on the carpet. Towels were replaced daily. Bed was comfortable, two reading lamps with switches that unfortunately could not be reached without getting out of bed. There was a breakfast table with two upright chairs, hospitality tray, frig, electric kettle and microwave. No plates or cutlery, no iron, no hairdryer, no in-room safe. Television reception for ABC and SBS was non-existent but wifi was good. Bathroom was clean, towels were good quality and airflow was good. It is a budget, no frills motel which is reflected in the price.…
We stayed here and were very impressed with the new additions. The rooms are clean and well appointed but it’s the bar and restaurant that are the standout. I loved the convenience of walking through to this great hotel and enjoy reasonably priced drinks and generous servings of delicious food.
We were visiting Roma for two evenings and this hotel was recommended for a meal. We had not booked a table but we're fortunate enough to manage one. The meals were lovely, hotel clean and vivid restrictions adhered to. If on Roma again we will certainly visit for a meal and would recommend this place to eat.
after flying my new to me fisher 912 drifter from winton to longreach, blackall, mitchell to roma; a total of nine hours in the air that day, i was looking for a comfortable environment just like home and a hearty feast to regain lost energy a recent covid 19 makeover of the Club Hotel Motel is a credit to the family of the owners. super tidy motel room, fresh clean sheets, comfortable beds; but more impressive was the restaurant. a five star kitchen and capable chef. when in the country, one must treat oneself to the local beef; 300gm medium rare prime rib fillet with a side of finest vege let’s do it all again
