The one bedroom wheelchair accessible apartment was a pleasure to stay in. It was a two room apartment with a queen bed and one single in one room, and a tv, kitchen, lounge and small table in the other. There was ample room next to the right hand side of the queen bed to park a wheelchair, although the bed was a little high (at approximately 66cm) for a slide transfer but may suit other users with a higher wheelchair. The large bathroom has a wheel-in shower, fold down shower seat and grab rails. There is a wheel-under sink with accessible shelf, and right hand transfer toilet with grab rail. The well equipped kitchen is average height and only accessible by parking a wheelchair side facing the cupboards. The unit was very clean and in a great location.
The cleanest Accomodation I’ve stayed at in a long time, great service and the family rooms are very spacious. Plenty of meal options for delivery to your door from the local eating places and was very nice. Highly recommend staying here 👌👌👍👍 And the shower was Devine
We booked to stay at the Motel Carnarvon at Roma for the first night of our road trip from Brisbane. This was a good location to rest after a day's driving and before the following day's drive to Carnarvon Gorge. Check-in was friendly and efficient, parking outside our room was easy, our room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, in-room WiFi was good, and the motel's location was just a short drive into town for restaurants and shops. Would be very happy to stay here again when in the Roma area.
All the boxes were ticked for us during our single night stay at Motel Carnarvon. Clean, warm, friendly and well equipped. We were pleasantly surprised with both how big the rooms are and how clean and modern the rooms and complex is. Our family of four loved the two huge widescreen TVs, separate kitchen area from bedroom and the huge bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with a tall fridge, stovetop for cooking and lots of bench space. We visited during a cold (2 degrees) winter night and didn’t need the a/c to stay warm overnight. Highly recommended. A big step up from the standard of small, 70’s motels along this inland route.
Booking online is often a disappointing experience, Motel Carnarvon in Roma was a very pleasant surprise. Online photos of a property can be misleading, but this motel was excellent inside & out. Nantiya upgraded us to a Studio Room on arrival, which while compact, was very well appointed with kitchenette and very modern decor, including the spotless ensuite and the most comfortable Queen mattress & pillow combination I can ever recall in any motel. So quiet as it was on the Northern Rd, on the North end of town, but set back off the main drag and no noise from adjoining rooms either. Only minor negatives were no clothes hooks when taking a shower (although enough bench space was available) and only one seat for watching the whopping 50" TV. We would definitely stay here anytime going through Roma.…
