What a fantastic place, if you want to be snobby don’t book, if you want a real life landlord and fantastic Sunday dinner that’s like old fashioned that fills your plate and a meat feast this is the place, reminds of Cheers.
Don't judge this place by its cover. Park up and get your thai ordered. Decilious tasty food. We stayed the night in our camper in the car park enroute home to Scotland. We will return the next time we are passing.
This place certainly doesn't have the decor of a top class restaurant, it is far removed from the uniformity of a chain pub. What it does offer is personal service which is extremely friendly, it also serves what is probably the best Thai food that I have ever tasted. Yes, it could do with a refurb, but if you can look past that you'll be rewarded with delicious, fresh, authentic food and a warm welcome.
This was the first time in here, but it certainly won’t be the last. Mike was very welcoming and talked to us throughout our visit. Food was home cooked, tasted great and good value as well. Ann served us, again she was friendly and chatted away. We are new to the area and Mike informed us about the local history and what to do and see. Great place, welcoming, traditional, dog friendly- what more could you ask for.
