We had a New Year's Eve event in Morrisburg so we booked at the Inn.
We had never stayed there before. The room was quite sufficient. The building is old but has been maintained and upgraded. It would have been nice to pay more like $149 or even $139 for such amenities but it was a major Holiday.
We cancelled our plans for dinner and stayed at the Inn at their Pub. The staff recommended the wings and the fresh burger and that's what we ordered. Both were very good. Our only complaint was the poutine (fries) were not hot, probably made too soon before the burger and wings.
Overall I'd recommend staying here.

Family of five, called last minute on a Saturday. Got two queens with a cot. Hotel about half full. This is a decent property. I like Mom and Pop places. Our room was good, with a coffee maker, good wifi, quiet, decently dark curtains. Beds were good, cot was not (it was kind of broken but I made it work). Bathroom good. We didn’t have time in the morning to do breakfast. Decent sized outdoor pool, supposedly heated but we didn’t use it. The facility and public areas are nicely maintained and decorated. You can tell they are really trying! Three minor things keep it from five bubbles: the cot; fluffy/lumpy pillows and they told us they don’t have any other kinds; and our easy chair had a dime-sized spot of dried food caked to it. It was obvious, so housekeeping dropped the ball. (I just washed it off, but still....). We paid about $175 for a nice room, nice location surrounded by restaurants, etc.

Went here for an 80th birthday party. The food was just ok, we all had the buffet. They ran out of prime rib ,!but we had the best waitress. She sang happy birthday to my granddad and we didn’t even ask her to. I highly recommend asking for Julie, she went above and beyond what she was expected. To do and she never stopped moving. $39 for all you can eat is pretty good too.

This was the most dreadful dining experience. We were a party of 5 celebrating a birthday and we brought our own cake. The seating and getting menus were quick but we had to ask for a wine list. Wine was brought with dirty glasses but were changed by the waitress when we noticed. Dinner special was a selection of entrees, prime rib, sides and desserts. We were told we could take home the desserts since we had brought birthday cake. My husband and I ordered escargots, French onion soup and prime rib - medium rare. After a wait that felt like forever escargots arrived. They had no taste, served with sticks of buttered bread and were smothered in a hollandaise like sauce that also had no taste. French onion soup was ok but again not great. My prime rib arrived rare with veggies that were barely cooked and a baked potato. My husband had horse radish with his meal, I didn’t so we shared. There was an annoying fly buzzing around the table that we could not get rid of. I ate as much of my meat as I could. I told the waitress and she offered me a steak as there was no more prime rib. The steak took almost a 1/2 hour to arrive. I felt bad for the other people at the table as they had finished and were waiting for coffee and dessert. Birthday cake arrived with plates, we had to ask for forks. One coffee arrived, no desserts to take home, and the 2 teas ordered never showed up. This was basically 2 1/2 hours (for this type of restaurant) I will never get back and don’t want to repeat.

There is absolutely no staff on site in the evening if there is an emergency and you required assistance. The main reception area is locked and you cannot get to the public washrooms. I would not recommend anyone staying in this hotel with that lack of public safety.

Due to Covid-19 we do have limited hours. Our front desk is open daily from 9a.m. to 9p.m. unless we have groups then we are open later. There is a night audit person on that is at the hotel till 1:00a.m. All fire and emergency exits to the rooms are accessible 24/7. The door is locked to the lobby only as there is no need for access to that part of the Inn. There are numbers located on both sets of doors with an emergency number on it that gets guests directly to myself and we have staff on call 24/7. When Covid-19 is done we hope to operate the front desk again 24/7 but the outside entrances are always locked to outside customers after hours for safety of the staff and customers.

Casual family dining with excellent food and friendly local service.
Even our dog was brought water and was allowed to sit with us on the deck.
We would rate our family experience 10 stars but 5 was the max.
The poutine was made with home made gravy, fresh French Fries and cheesed melted on top. Yummy. Everything seemed to be made in house, fresh and delicious. Although the Dino chicken nuggets were probably commercially made but still highly rated by our 9 yr old. The buffet while not massive was more than than we could ever eat of home cooked turkey, stuffing, potatoes, veggies etc. The broccoli soup was NOT over salty like every other restaurant and lusciously thick. The 15 or so desserts were obviously made with love and not grocery store produced. While the waitress was busy & alone serving the deck , she was efficient, happy, and a delight. The building needs a lick of paint but don't let that drive you away.

This is for the hotel area only - the pub is still a great spot to spend time at although prices have gone up. This was our first stay at the McIntosh and it will sadly be our last. We were only one of two couples staying in the facility and if our room is any indication, they are all in need of updating. We were ok with the "ambience" of a country inn, but not a carpet and bed that both needed replacement, not to mention the shower. Staff were very nice, but that was all we can make a positive.

Please advise which room you occupied so we can address. Question: If this was your first stay, how do you know rooms have declined? All mattress's are less than a year old, and carpet is in great shape. Corridor carpet is less than a year old. Tom

We went there a few years ago and this restaurant has decreased significantly. We arrived and were not even greeted. Food was served late, poorly presented, not warm, hardly ateable. Greek salad was old. Sore stomach after. Although you might be tempted to go there after a theater piece, don't! Go anywhere else!

The hotel is so outdated. The rooms and halls have a damp mildew smell.
The bathtub and sink were rusty and should be replaced. The water in the shower was either cold or super hot. The toilet was almost 6” off the floor. The beds were so soft and very creaky if you moved around. The food in the restaurant was wonderful. The staff were very accommodating and helpful!

Brought 100 cycling enthusiasts at McIntosh Inn 3 nights end of August. Rooms, bathrooms, pool, cleanliness is everywhere. Food and service were awesome. Smiling staff, relax and cozy atmosphere. Seldom do you leave a place with that many attendees and only congrats, complaints none. Working with manager Derek was an easy task to get everything on track.
Would definitely go again!
