This is an outstanding place to stay that ticks absolutely all of the boxes, from location (scenic, proximity to trails and local sites, brewery close by, etc), visual appeal (small houses spread out over the property, wonderfully restored and updated, views galore), staff (incredibly welcoming and eager to assist you in every way) to food (great breakfasts and dinners, happy hour). We had the top floor room in the dining building and it was spacious, quiet and very comfortable from the bed to the climate control. Everyone involved in the Inn takes great pride in the establishment and it shows.

My ratings are always based on the overall experience offered by a hotel, inn, b and b, etc., and not just on the appeal of the room itself. Our experience with Fishers' Loft Inn was stellar from the initial contact via email, through the entire 3 night stay.

Michelle, the reception manager was exemplary. She answered all of my early email inquiries within a day. She provided pre-trip assistance with planning things to do in the area and restaurant suggestions . I knew before we even arrived that we had chosen the perfect place for our stay. Once we were in Port Rexton Michelle continued to be of assistance with anything we required. She is a gem!!

Fishers' Loft Inn is in a lovely , quiet setting and our room overlooked the water. There were adirondack chairs just outside the room which also overlooked the water. The room itself, room 14, was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The bedding was also extremely comfortable and these were the best pillows I've ever slept on away from home. The only thing missing were USB ports but fortunately we had brought wall outlet plugins for our phones and ipads. The Skerwink trail, which was probably the highlight of our hiking trip, is walking distance from the inn.

Also wonderful were the restaurant and bar on premises. We had three breakfasts and two dinners there. Will post review of the restaurant separately.

I would also note that had planned to spend some time in nearby Trinity and were faced with a decision of whether to stay at the Artisan Inn or to stay here. We absolutely made the right choice. Highly highly recommend this warm and welcoming inn.

We spent two nights on a recent trip to Newfoundland . We received a complimentary room upgrade. It is in an old house with loads of charm. We had a beautiful view of the bay. The room was immaculate, the bed comfortable, and the fridge a nice extra. Staff was amazing and helpful. Skerwink trail starts very close to the hotel. As the room is equipped with a fridge, buy your groceries on your way in, at a larger centre, as services in town are quite limited

We didn’t stay here but did have dinner. The restaurant has two servings, at 5 and 7:30pm. Everything is from their gardens or locally sourced. The dining room is placed on the enclosed porch, overlooking a beautiful bay. The food is imaginative and beautifully prepared. This is by far the best place to eat in this part of Newfoundland.

Was out here working on a tv project and a colleague/friend of mine was staying here. Insisted I come along and i am sooo glad i did. Ended up booking another night over the weekend, just to soak it all in. Incredible property, the VIEWS!!! My cabin was so quiet and stocked with everything one would need. They even equipped it with a set of binoculars, which i promptly brought with me to a hike on the nearby skerwink trail. After a morning hike and afternoon hike, we returned to the most delicious dinner, served by the most attentive staff at their onsite restaurant! Is definitely on one of my top 10 places I have ever been in the world. So lucky to have experienced this. Thank you for everything and hope to come out there again soon.

The Inn has many fine touches - binoculars in your room, umbrellas. We stayed both in the Mansard house ( wifi not as good here ) and the larger building on the hill. I like that you could buy all the art in the room and halls ( featuring NFLD artists ). Both rooms spacious, beds really comfortable and classy. We felt spoiled ! Staff very friendly and helpful and dinner/breakfast were great - food very tasty, well prepared and featuring local dishes. A must stop if you are in NFld and out in Trinity. Finest inn on the island so far. Nice walking paths around the property

Spent a weekend here with my partner and parents. My partner and I were in Suite #21 and my parents stayed in Suite #16. Both rooms were fantastic! We loved the way they were decorated and everything was meticulously clean. It was so cozy and inviting. The down duvets on the beds are very comfortable and led to a great sleep. The L'occitane products in the rooms are fantastic quality and smell great. The location is quiet and relaxing and the views are unbeatable. We had four meals in the restaurant and everything was delicious. We have no complaints and we are planning on returning in the near future!

The Fisherman’s Loft is a great place to spend time at when in Newfoundland.
The Loft offers panoramic views of the area and the property itself is so well maintained.
Our room and huge bathroom was perfect.
Our second evening meal did not equal the previous evening meal unfortunately.
The staff were really friendly.

We stayed at the Fishers Loft Inn for 2 nights. Our room (#16) had a bedroom and living room with a foldout bed and a spacious bathroom, equipped with robes and Octaine bath products. The room had a stunning view of the gardens and bay. The dining room was lovely with every table set beside a window. We had two breakfast and one 4 course dinner at the inn. All meals were delicious highlighting local, fresh ingredients. The lodge is in an excellent location, less than 5 minutes by car from the famous and spectacular Skerwink trail and 10 minutes from historic Trinity. We would highly recommend this charming inn if staying in the Port Rexton or Trinity area.

From the lovely view of the water when first arriving to our encounters with staff throughout our stay, Fishers' Loft provided a wonderful experience. We couldn't have been more comfortable! We splurged on dinner one night, and discovered it was not a splurge. Each bite of each course was exceptionally good.

Trip Advisor sent me your question but I was a visitor at Fisher's Loft. For your question, you need to contact the Inn directly. I looked online at their website and their contact information is: 1-877-464-3240 or 1-709-464-3240 and check their website for the email address. Trip Advisor will not let me include an email address.

Are there laudry facilities at the Inn or near by?
Answer from John M
Toronto, Canada21 contributions2 helpful votes
I did not see anything about laundry services when we stayed there. I just checked the Newfoundland & Labrador 2015 Travellers Guide and there is no mention of laundry services either. This guide does show laundry services at some places of accommodation, but not at Fisher's Loft. So I suspect not but you can always contact them to be sure. We did not see any laundro-mats nearby either.
