The resort is definitively worth it because of its location, wonderful views and amenities (canoe, ping-pong table, tennis courts), but the service is terrible. Sadly, the owners are not there any more and the employees (a couple) that are "running" the hotel show no interest nor actual care for the place or its guests. However, they do care about collecting their tips, since they did not forget to leave in our room not one but two envelopes for tips. Interestingly enough, they did not notice that: (i) there were NO teas available (even though we had told them that we did NOT drink coffee but we liked Earl Grey tea), (ii) they only left in the bathroom a tiny piece of soap that more than a soap resembled a piece of sand paper and it was almost gone after a hand wash; (iii) they only left a tiny shampoo container that was barely enough to wash my long hair; Needless to say, the next day we bought a very good quality soap (made by a Naramata neighbour of them!) and a decent shampoo. (iv) breakfast was made and served in such a dry and carelessness fashion, and despite being in a fruit paradise, the fruit serving was lame and tasteless. Pity that such a place is ran by people lacking so much love to give and share.…
We stayed here for a week on the recommendation of our son. We were not disappointed. Although the resort is not cheap, it is worth every penny that you spend. We stayed in a wonderful waterfront cottage. It had all the amenities and was worth every penny. We got to go wine tasting and ride the Kettle Valley Railway for a few days. The best thing about this resort are the managers, Suzanne and Chris. Suzanne went out of her way to ensure that we had a cabin, then a better cabin, then the best cabin!! Thank you so much, Suzanne! We are returning next July for the gran fondo, can't wait!!
We booked a last minute stay at Sandy Beach Lodge & Resort in June. The representative with whom we dealt (I believe her name was Chris), was exceedingly helpful and friendly. Both the property and the cabin we rented were immaculate. I was travelling with my husband and 2 children and we had an amazing time. It was relaxing for us (we could just sit on our patio and look at the beautiful views) and fun for our children, who could walk out of our cabin and play on the beach and in the water. We had an amazing time there and we can't wait to return!
We had a lovely stay in one of the rooms at the lodge. It is a great location. I loved waking up to the beautiful lake and mountain view. The private screened porch is the perfect place to have a cup of coffee before heading down to breakfast (which is included but only for lodge guests, not cabin guests). Marcus skillfully prepared a lovely spread every morning and was so helpful with anything we needed. The room is small-ish but has a mini-fridge, robes and coffee, everything to make it comfy. The property is EXTREMELY well maintained. We enjoyed the canoe, pool, hot tub and just lounging near the lake. But when we got off property it was a quick walk to rent some bikes or SUPs. The nearby General Store was also the perfect place to grab some wine/beer and snacks. Nearby Elephant Island winery is marvelous. Lake Breeze Patio is not to be missed, the food is as lovely as the view.…
The location and setting for this wonderful little lodge could not be any better. We stayed in the lodge because there were not any cabins available for our dates. Although our room was on the small side it was very clean, comfortable and the screened in balcony helped to make it feel more spacious. The view was nothing short of spectacular! We were very impressed with the cleanliness and extra touches of the lodge itself. Breakfast each morning was tasty. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Overall our stay at Sandy Beach was wonderful!
