Tripadvisor gives a Travelers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travelers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
We have multiple pull thru sites available, both 30 amp and 50 amp. We also offer cabins with AC for rent. Some of the amenities included are a salt water pool, fishing, lakes, kayaks, a bathhouse, and a laundry facility. We are military, pet and family friendly.
We chose this campground based on the amenities, not unlike selecting anything else but didn't get what we expected and paid for. First, and unlike every other place we have stayed so far, there is no pavement anywhere on the property so be ready for a 1/2 mile of off-roading to get from pavement to the office. There's lots of pot holes for which they did put forth some effort to smooth out during our stay. As well, the campground has something wrong with their septic system and upon arrival said that we could only dump once per week on a scheduled day. I have no idea how that helps but it made things hard for us because our waste tanks aren't that big. The boats that they offer to rent (not free) to campers are water logged and full of mosquito larvae and others have broken oars. There's a trail around the lake but be careful of the wooden bridges because they are rotted and falling apart. There are many broken down trailers and remains of an old swimming pool, walls and some trash in various places. All signage and decor appears to be crafty construction and using hardware store mailbox lettering or hand painted by a non-artist... not cute but more so, I would call it chinsey. You can only move in or out during the daylight so plan your arrival and departure accordingly. Also, they are very clear, with a big sign on the front of the office door, that your satisfaction is not important... The sign reads "NO REFUNDS". At least they put their position on the matter on their door. I wish I had known this before booking by phone. It was advertised and we were told that there would be internet service available but for 3 of the 4 weeks we were there, it didn't work. We were told that its free and we should have our own solution (which we do) but we picked this place because that was included. The ads and signage outside the property indicate that they after propane refilling but they don't. That was yet another inconvenience since we arrived with less than a full tank expecting that we could refill our motorhome's built-in tank there.

Wife and I stayed here for 9 nights. Our site did not have full hookups because there were a lot of pipeline workers in Camp. After 5 nights we needed a pump out so Vicky had a honey dipper come over and suck it out for free. Campground is located half a mile off the main road on a sandy bumpy drive. Entry gate access doesn't make much sense because it's not coded. No cable TV but there were plenty of local channels to satisfy our nightly viewings. Beth did some laundry and the machines were adequate and affordable.

Terrible. Pictures are deceiving. Amenities are a joke. No Wi-Fi. Dogs unleashed, some friendly, some not. Bring your own TP to the bathroom cuz they don’t keep up with it. No one at the office and number called connected us to a pleasant voice who guided us to our assigned spot, which was occupied. There are many hiking trails and would have utilized them if not for the constant sounds of gunfire and not knowing if I would be grazed. Worst of all, I don’t go camping to be bombarded by someone else’s politics, whether I agree with them or not. It should be a time to get away from all that. This place is not for families, the “activities” listed are not on site and should be advertised as nearby. Deceptive. Worst camping experience ever. And to the owner, many of your negative review responses say you didn’t have that person registered and don’t know who they are. Don’t bother to say you don’t know who I am because I already know that you didn’t have me on your registered list despite having booked back in April. This place would be great for Proud Boys or Oath Keepers but recreational campers and normal people should stay away.

I really enjoyed my stay here while i was working out of town. The park was so friendly and accommodating to me and my dog. The trails and lakes made for great dog walks and fishing and the park really felt like home to me. Overall a great experience for me compared to the previous RV parks I've stayed at.

We were at this campground for 3 weeks and was very disappointed with the so called rv resort. There was a pipeline that we were running through this area and we had quite a few campers with our company. The website says theirs a pool horsestables and looks to be very clean, boy were we shocked. The sites are very compact, the pool was not up and running, and there is no horses or stables, the pond is nearly dry and doesnt look like anyone has taken care of the place in a while. After we were there they finally started to repair the pool which they had to filll of the same well as the water so their was very little water pressure to the campsites. When you would complain about it the owner would catch a very bad attitude and even threatened to pull a gun out on more than one pipeliner. Her attitude is not a very nice one and does not need to be running a campground. NO customer service! They had at least 10 campers pull out within 2 days from this campground. There are campers that pulled in and within minutes left and she refused to give them their elec/ gate key deposit back. It's a deposit for services that were not used and refused to give their money back,so do not put money down before you see this campground!

If I had known how awful this place was I would have never stayed here. The lady that runs this place is absolutely rude. She over charges for electricity. She has three pages of rules. The website lies and says they have a pool, riding horses, three ponds and basketball. They do not have any of those things. The lady is flat broke and does not give refunds for this reason. Bottom line no one should stay here or a night or god forbid longer like we have to.

This is a beautiful quiet country campground. Love the changes being made and especially love kyacking on the lake. The bath house is large with the old feel of 35 years ago. They provide fire piits, 100 acres to explore, horseshoes, cornhole, paddle boat, kyacking, and best of all.... family fun with time to reconnect and make memories.

First of all, most of these negative reviews are probably from people that did not follow campground rules. My wife and I were working on a pipeline that was near this campground and we stayed there from February to mid October. Never once did we have a problem with the staff. This is an older campground but it is kept up very nice. It adjoins a lot of NC State Game Land and there are several trails on campground property and the State Game Land that you can walk or ride ATV's on. There is a nice size body of water that you can fish inside the campground and a large body of water behind the campground as well, (you will need a small boat for this one). You will also have access to a shooting range from the campground that is not tied to campground property, but you still must follow rules to be able to use the shooting range. I've seen negative reviews on the laundry mat on here as well. We never had issues with the laundry mat. Everybody knows that at some point in time a washer or dryer will play out on you and one did during our stay, but it was repaired and there are three of each in the laundry room so what's the big deal. This place made my stay feel more like I was at home than out on the road working. If I ever hire out on another job close to this area, I will have my fifth wheel at Pine Lake RV Resort.

So pretty and peaceful even with a roosters crow! The pool was open mid October (happen to be there on a hot fall day! ) and it was large, clean and so refreshing! Love the campsite and the owner was very friendly! We will visit again in summer to take full advantage of the pool
