This is a great central caravan park close to all the restaurants in town. The park is clean and tidy but the only downfall is the sites are unmarked and this caused someone to be on our site that I had booked for 2 years and our van way way too small for the other site we were allocated. Unmarked sites caused other people to set up on sites that weren’t theirs. It’s a simple solution to have your site clearly marked out. Wifi is hit and miss, but we were warned about this on checkin. Our friends had a cabin, which was clean and comfortable. Lovely caravan park, especially in autumn.

The park advertised free wifi. This was not available for the duration of our visit. Access to the daily newspaper for which we have a subscription and access to email is important to us and was an important reason we chose this park. Despite having paid top dollar for our accommodation we had the expense and inconvenience of having to find another site offering wifi and buying a newspaper for which we had already paid through our subscription. We encountered the same problem at another NRMA site last November. Advertising a service and not providing it is unacceptable and we will be seeking the advice of the Consumer Affairs Department.

The location is close to town, and mother nature has ensured this park is naturally beautiful. Way to many things here do not work....the dryers, the oven was filthy in the camp kitchen, no glass turntable in the microwave, one of the 2 toasters didn't work, no clear instructions for the stovetop. There were several people in the camp kitchen complaining about the many things that did not work. The place claims to be disability friendly, it is not. The ramps to both the camp kitchen (which is not lit up at all at night), and the bathroom have gaps at the ends of them so they are not at all level with the ground. Extremely difficult, to the point of dangerous, if you have a wheelchair, or a walker or simply have a physical condition which limits mobility. Staff are adequate, disinterested, probably efficient but hardly friendly. The assumption EVERYONE uses their phones like a computer is simply annoying....ramming down contactless check in without even offering the option of reception checkin i.e. with real people is annoying! Pls do not bother to use covid as an excuse for this, I have stayed at NRMA parks prior, and they use real person check ins, even when it is covid times. Site numbering needs work, majority of sites are not level, some are large (if you are lucky enough not to lose space on your site to tree roots), nd many are just crammed in as close as possible. One has no idea where their site ends, and the next one begins. I would suggest at least a 20 metre power cord to plug in because some have the power box quite a distance from the actual site. I saw 3 people around me get caught out by this. Bathrooms block we used was clean, but there are no specified cleaning times posted, so if cleaning is happening the next block to use is far away. I was disappointed that since my stay in 2015, this place seems to have dropped in standards. I would have thought an NRMA park would be better having stayed in them before. With the amount of competition in Bright and surrounds, there are other options that I would look at before staying in this park again. Sad.

Paid $183 for a night for this disappointing experience. So the very few pros include the bed was comfortable. The second bedroom, which would better be described as a closet, had a double bunk. This disappointing part was the absolutely filthy curtain that greeted you as you walked in to the very dated cabin. Once inside, you didn’t have to look far to see other areas that had not seen a vacuum cleaner or cloth in years. The photos, which are hard to argue with, show on the ground next to the fridge, on top of the light fitting, in the corners of the ceilings, and then there was the curtain rod that was broken and held together with a cable tie. This place was filthy and very poorly maintained. In addition, the vast majority of the satellite channels were unavailable with the message displayed on the screen, “please check your account”. At night, the unit next door left their front porch light on, which clearly shone through the sides of our bedroom curtain lighting up the whole room all night. Hot water pressure was non existent. There are a dozen van parks within 20 kms of Bright, so plenty to choose from. Hopefully much cleaner than the NRMA.

A lovely park with fantastic wheel chair accessible cabins that really are set up to make the stay comfortable and easy , nice big ramps and balcony with BBQ The bathroom is large and has good hand rails along with shower chair the bedroom has plenty of space beside the bed but would benefit by placing a rail next to it . The paths around the park are easy to push a wheel chair around But the pool is not roll in so is inaccessible unless you can stand up and step into it . This is my first longish stay in a holiday park as we usually stay in serviced apartments or hotels so I can’t compare to other parks but what I didn’t like was that no service was provided for the unit , you have to clean and make your own bed and take out your own trash and here I was thinking I was going to have a nice relaxing break! . For 2 adults staying 5 nights we were only provided with 6 tea bags and 5 coffees with no top ups . One face washer and 2 towels each .. as anyone who assists with a very high Care disabled person knows that Face washers and towels are in high demand and bedding often needs changing ... when I went to the office to request extra toilet paper and a clean sheet as we had run out and the rooms are not serviced I had to explain why I wanted them and answer quiet a few questions which made me feel as if I was being interrogated for doing something wrong although a staff member arrived with the products and a smile when they were able to . I feel that compared to our usual holiday accommodations that this place really needs to up their game in providing service to the rooms but other then that it’s a fantastic place to stay
