Hotel room was very average, one dirty cup left behind. Room was ok if you like cramped spaces, bed was extremely comfortable. Cannot fault the staff who were fantastic and the food at the pub was delicious. Parking was a tight squeeze and had to ask directions as to where it and reception was. At the end of the day it was somewhere to put our head down for the night.

Booked in for 2 nights. Wasn’t sure what the accommodation would be like & hoped it was like the photos online. Well it was even better. The room was a great size (king studio) with king bed (extremely comfortable) & a lounge. The bathroom was clean & the rain shower head was great. It just took a while for the water to get hot. The view of the Nerang river was gorgeous. Pity it was raining & we couldn’t take advantage of the balcony but with the double doors open it was just as good. My only criticism is the bedside tables do not have a drawer. If you are staying for longer than one night & you want to unpack there is nowhere to put underwear etc. Would recommend the hotel for a meal & drink. The staff were great & the service excellent. The food was scrumptious & the meal sizes were good. I would highly recommend for a place to stay, eat & relax.

Went for dinner at our new local food Was terrible. Pulled pork burgers were gross amd had more coleslaw than anything else, red curry chicken which cost $30 tasted like the chicken was out of a packet, chicken parmy was covered in cheap tomato paste. Spent well over $100 on food only to walk out without eating most of it, will not be back, such a shame as we have just moved to the area and it is our closet pub…

My visit to this hotel did not include accommodation as it was during a time of urgent business pressures and time sensitive projects during the turbulent times of the global pandemic The sign in process was very efficiently handled & front of house couldn’t be more obligating The bar staff were very obliging and cheerful and the drinks list had a number of rare offerings. As I was working I simply had a few glasses of tap water-Australia is very fortunate to have very high water quality at no cost, the majority of countries are not so fortunate! The Hinterland Hotel has a filtered water tap that is accessible for public use The menu covers the basics and some sophisticated offerings such as eye fillet with half a lobster. What a rare treat indeed. I opted for the simpler fare of Guinness pie with mash and peas and it was sublime! The tableware is very good and the restaurant is spacious There’s leather bench sitting, which is super soft and comfortable and the the settings are appropriately minimal with single stem orchids Overall a brilliant evening for business as well as family friendly The only downside was the manager asked me to leave for u

What a disappointment! Booked in for an overnight stay at the hotel and didn’t expect the place to be soooo run down. Only positive were it is well located and the beds were comfortable. We were surprisingly woken up at 7.00 am after a long journey the day before by heavy machinery outside our room, truck noises, forklifts, etc etc We were we advised that there were major renovations happening at the time the booking took place. This is very disrespectful in my opinion. We could even sit on the varandah to enjoy a simple coffee as it was like a dust storm. We paid full price for the room. Common practice is to at least give you a meal voucher for the bistro or reduce the overnight price charges as a form of compensation Hotel staff never should any empathy of any sort.

Response from Hinterland Hotel Motel, General Manager at Hinterland Hotel
Responded 16 Dec 2020
Hi Glenn, we are really sorry about your whole experience in your last visit. The sticky tables are due to the sanitiser we use on the tables, we are looking for a better solution that won't leave the tables as sticky. The cleanness of the toilets have been addressed and we are currently reviewing staff levels to ensure we are not short staffed. If you could get in touch with us by phone or email, so we can address your review, that would be much appreciated, my name is Nina, and you can contact me at 07 5557 1699 or via email at nina.kraemer@alhgroup.com.au, thank you very much, cheers.
