We stayed here for two nights during a business trip. Our room was clean enough. The shower area was bigger than usual which is good, and WiFi connection was strong enough. It seemed like their restaurant was closed so we had our meals at a restaurant nearby.

It was my first time to visit Roxas City. And to my surprise it was quite a nice place. We stayed overnight in Urban Manor Hotel which i just happen to come across the internet. The hotel was nice, comfortable, clean & had modern space interiors. Front desk staff were really very friendly & accommodating, wherein requests were immediately attended. The location was also very accessible if you came in by bus (Ceres) which is just across the street. Will definitely be coming back to this hotel.

A sudden change of plans brought us to Roxas City. And since it was a long weekend, searching for an affordable and nice inn in Roxas City in such short notice was kind of challenging.
Urban Manor Hotel was suggested by a friend and resident of Roxas City. He said the hotel was new and is accessible. Truly, if we came by bus (Ceres) the station was just in front of the building. Facade of Urban Manor Hotel is nice and upscale-looking. We got a family room (double bed and a twin) for 1,800 only.
The room was clean and smelled like new. Our room had a flat screen tv and wi-fi. The bathroom had a rainfall shower head which was nice. But I had trouble working up the heater.
Because there were 4 of us, we had to get additional towel (costs P50.00) and extra pillow (cost P50.00), Breakfast was nothing to write home about. I had hoped their breakfast menu had seafood specials (Roxas City is the seafood capital of the Philippines) but all they had were the standard pinoy meals and some continental set meals. We asked a favor from the dining staff to place a dessert dish we brought along in their ref and they had no problems with that.
The front desk staff was equally friendly, helpful and responded immediately with our requests.

We stayed 2 nights in Roxas City at this hotel. It is relatively new and is clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Westerners would find this a very acceptable standard for provincial Philippines. I would definitely stay here again.

Location of Urban Manor Hotel - it's in Pueblo de Panay which has the Robinsons Mall, El Circulo Events Place and Restaurant on the hill and the Lawaan Bus Terminal, convenient if going to Kalibo or Estancia in Iloilo. Hotel is basic nevertheless we had a comfortable stay.

The Urban Manor is located on the other side of this growing city of 150000 to the airport, but distances are small so that is less than four kilometres. The hotel is around two corners and you are at the February 2014 opened Robinsons Mall with its supermarket and department store, two kilometres if that to the central riverside market and five kilometres from terrific seafood restaurants at Roxas City's Baywalk.

This hotel is a winner for both business and leisure travellers.

Firstly, the small number of negatives. All 21 rooms are on the first floor (often called 'second floor' in Philippines) so unless a disabled guest was carried up and down by staff, he might find the accommodation unsuitable. My P1450 room lacked a fridge and nor did it have a safety deposit box. From 0600 of a weekday morning there was some road noise from tricycles but these were not constant as the hotel is just off the main road, although convenientky within two kilometres of the new out if town Pueblo de Panay transport terminal with its excellent Ceres buses, good licenced vans and grotty, overloaded colorum unlicenced vans.

The owner of Urban Manir has gone to some trouble. The corridor has numerous large framed photos of local tourist attractions while the staircase has a huge mural of Hinolugan Falls, Pilar, Capiz not far away on the road to Estancia port where boats depart for the lovely white sand beaches of Isla de Gigantes Norte and Sur islands.

The room had excellent blackout curtains and good glazing, along with an extremly comfortable possibly King sized bed with good quality linen, a bedside table and lamp, a good desk with an overhead light that flickered a bit and a mirror, a wardrobe by the window and a reasonable number of power points.

The bathroom had an excellent rainshower along with a good vanity basin and space for one's vanity kit. The hot water switch is under the vanity basin, something of which I was initially unaware so I first had a cool shower. Soap and a miniature shampoo bottle were provided as were two mineral water bottles on our second but not first night. Towels were good quality although we had to ask fir a bathmat. There is an exhaust fan in the bathroom and a good mirror, along with good lighting in both rooms and a flat screen television with cable channels.

Unlike San Antonio resort near the Baywalk, Urban Manor has pretty reliable wifi to rooms and throughout the hotel. The connection speed was mostky good to excellent but slowed down at times. Unlike Australia, it is free.

The breakfast with a choice of American or Filipino is basic but my bacon and egg was properly cooked, as was a room service hamburger and fries. There are local Panay and Manila papers in the cafe.

All staff were pleasant.

There were no noisy roosters or karaoke.

Overall for the price this is better than many Australian motels and an example of modern Filipino keenly priced, value accommodation whose owners clearly know what travellers want.

At some stage another storey may be added, so I was informed. The hotel was booked out on our second night which to me is not surprising given the great value for money.

I initially tried to make a reservation through a website what appeared to claim to be Urban Manors in house travel agency, however all attempts to make reservation were fruitless and I ended up booking through Agoda. I spoke to the hotel manager who advised that they were aware of this fake website set up by an ex employee.
Room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. The hotel is around 5 minutes trike ride from Roxas City bus station and around a 5 - 10 minute walk from Robinson's mall.
Stayed 2 nights, and the only real disappointment was breakfast, and breakfast service which was very slow and not worth the money.
Overall this is a hotel that I would stay again when in Roxas.

Small hotel but accommodation is quite okay. I don’t know with the others but for me the service is good. Staffs were warm upon check-in, accommodating and polite. Our needs were addressed and well received. The food is also nice. The dining area is not so crowded. You can easily order food if you want. Location is strategic for us. It’s very near to the venue. The hotel is also walking distance from Robinsons. The shuttle is provided upon request 😊 I would say out of 5 I could give this hotel a rating of 4. If ever we visit Roxas City again, we will be staying in this hotel.
