If you’re visiting Roxas City in Capiz, Philippines there’s a new place to stay here. Kapis Mansions is located in Banica Road, Roxas City. It is clean, cozy and comes with wide-screen flat tvs. Very friendly staff. You and your kids will enjoy the two swimming pools and other amenities of the hotel. On going construction of the other area of the hotel and some convenient stores and shops in front of the hotel. Barely this hotel is open for business for 6 months or so.

fully airconditioned rooms with mattress beds, flatscreen CATV, wifi internet access, hot and cold shower with bathroom amenities, private telephone system, laundry & pressing services, business center, internet hub, coffeeshop, fitness center, music lounge, swimming pool, kiddie pool, shuttle service and no brownout.

Rate is higher compared to other resorts but we are glad, the hotel manager ( we assume) gave my husband a discount. The servers at the pool side restaurant were very nice and accommodating. I love the big screen at the pool area, it was relaxing after hours of swimming.

Our room, deluxe was fine but I think the rooms at the main house is better. Nothing special with this hotel, if you are looking for a " wow factor". But the service and comfort are commendable.

According to our driver, Kapis Manison is probably the biggest hotel in Roxas City. It is a mere 15 minute drive to Pan-Ay, less than 15 minute drive from the airport.

ROOM
We had the first room at the ground floor. It fitted a queen bed and a single bed. The room has an lcd tv with cable channels, a good air-conditioning unit that isn't rattling when you sleep. The bathroom is just about the right space with hot and cold water.

Just a bit weird that the sink was placed outside the bathroom but no big deal.

They also have strong and free wifi in the room.

LOCATION
As I have mentioned, it is less than 15 minutes drive from the airport. Unfortunately this isn't within the town proper so there are not walking distance places to go to at night even for just a stroll.

You have to take a tricycle to reach Baybay, roughly 10 minutes.

So better buy snacks or other stuff before going to the hotel.

FOOD
We had a breakfast buffet included in the bill. Unfortunately the breakfast they served really was bad. You only have a choice of white rice, boiled egg, and 2 other viands. I was expecting the more common food like hotdog, or bacon but for the price we paid for, I guess it is to be expected.

So nothing to brag about with regard to their food.

AMENITIES
They have 2 pools, which I believe needed to be cleaned right away. The water was so dirty you can hardly see your own legs under water.

STAFF
They were very friendly, courteous, polite and very nice. Their service was excellent! Requests are being granted immediately. However, it is my first time to experience to be charged for extra pillows.

At first we were happy to get the room a couple of steps from the front desk. Unfortunately they had some sort of seminar booked in their hotel and the guests were so noisy that it woke us up as early as 7am.

This hotel is ok for the price that we paid for. Would I come back and stay here? Most likely but only because the staff were all very nice to us.

The rooms were dated and had a musty smell. The lobby was dated and strangely decorated with Christmas trees all year round. The pool was dirty. I do not think they clean/filter the water. The water was murky and there was sediment on the pool floor.
They need to improve upon their customer service as the staff was not very attentive to the guests.

There is a breakfast buffer that consisted of sausage, rice, egg, dried fish and watered down oatmeal. The only beverages offered were water and coffee. There was an attendant on the buffet line that you only give you one item of each of the offerings on the buffet.

I would stay at other places in Roxas over this place...it's not worth the money.

I stayed in this hotel for a few days as I attended a wedding event . The over all experience has been good. The room is very comfortable and clean. The interior was actually quaint and comfy. The location is not that far from the city proper. The staff are customer service oriented and has been very helpful. One thing you need to know is that they dont serve food during late nights hence if you feel like eating and ordering room service or go to their resto. no you are not going to have any as the chef or cook is gone.

The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff are friendly.
The place could use an elevator. Though it’s only a 2 story hotel, it could be discouraging to those that couldn’t use the stairs to stay in this hotel.

We were booked here for 3 nights but stayed only for a night. We arrived a bit late in the evening and was looking forward to have a good night's sleep. But to our disappointment, we found two cockroaches in the room, the beds and cabinets were dusty, and toilet flush was not functioning. After an attempt to fix the toilet, the staff moved us to another room, expecting it to be better. But again, we were dismayed with the dusty beds with some strands of hair, cobwebs at the corner, and uncleaned CR (this could be too much information but there were traces of urine in the toilet seat!!!). It was past midnight, we did not have enough energy to complain but decided to immediately transfer to other hotel the following morning.

Pros: spacious room and bed, friendly staff, room rates inclusive of breakfast, accepts credit card

Cons: old, damp, and not well- maintained rooms, unclean beddings and pillows, weird lay out of the room (sink is outside of the CR), pricey room rates unmatched with the poor quality of rooms
