Excellent food. We ate a special lunch there and it was unforgettable--can't get enough of the crema de fruta. The management personally took care of us. I'm tempted to check in and see if their service extends to staying at the hotel
Needed a place to spend overnight at Roxas City. My hosts planned to have me check-in a newer hotel but it was fully booked. Kapis Mansions was a very good alternative. It is indeed like a mansion with its spaciousness, decors, grand staircase. The room I used was also spacious, properly furnished, and provided excellent sleep quality. I found having the sink outside the bathroom with benefits. I heard that the hotel has been renovating to keep up with competition. My complaint is that they should have at least installed bidet shower hoses in the bath rooms. The free breakfast was just okay. It was not really spectacular although I noticed that the place is frequented by a lot of people for breakfast. Wifi is available but only in the reception area.
The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The staff are friendly. The place could use an elevator. Though it’s only a 2 story hotel, it could be discouraging to those that couldn’t use the stairs to stay in this hotel.
We were booked here for 3 nights but stayed only for a night. We arrived a bit late in the evening and was looking forward to have a good night's sleep. But to our disappointment, we found two cockroaches in the room, the beds and cabinets were dusty, and toilet flush was not functioning. After an attempt to fix the toilet, the staff moved us to another room, expecting it to be better. But again, we were dismayed with the dusty beds with some strands of hair, cobwebs at the corner, and uncleaned CR (this could be too much information but there were traces of urine in the toilet seat!!!). It was past midnight, we did not have enough energy to complain but decided to immediately transfer to other hotel the following morning. Pros: spacious room and bed, friendly staff, room rates inclusive of breakfast, accepts credit card Cons: old, damp, and not well- maintained rooms, unclean beddings and pillows, weird lay out of the room (sink is outside of the CR), pricey room rates unmatched with the poor quality of rooms…
Our family and relatives were invited for a staycation last May of 2016. The facilities are good. I love the paintings and murals on the walls. The breakfast served to us were sumptuous. I would definitely go back to this place and would certainly recommend this to my friends abd coworkers.
Majestic, lovely staff. Good place to go. The food is great with a good variety of local produce. Rooms were clean. Even had a nice massage there too. Pool out the back was not working. couple of cats and dogs around the place. I enjoyed it here. I'd Certainly go back.
Staff really tries to attend to guests' concerns. Excellent place. Good food. Modern facilities. Spacious and elegant rooms. Great place to relax or hold conventions although a bit far from the city proper
We stayed for a wedding and the reception was held in the same place. The lobby was really elegant and super clean and shiny. Food is also consistently good. It is better than the older locally known restaurants. I think one of the most amazing things was the attention to detail regarding the look of the hotel. It had the grecian look surrounding the pool areas and even the shrubs were trimmed to look like vases. Come the wedding reception and Kapis mansions is just impressive - lit up fountain outside and super spacious reception area inside. The decor was really elegant and it was super clean everywhere. There was an arch of flowers near the entrance - and I guess that can also be a choice of the newlyweds as something they want to have - but it was very beautiful and gave a good place to take more pictures on. The people are also very kind and accommodating of requests. The room was clean, spacious, good cable TV that kept the kids happy.…
I like how they focus on details and they're function rooms are seriously good. The pool area is elegant while the foyer is absolutely regal and majestic. The stairway provides a palatial ambiance in the lobby area and perfect for special events like debut and wedding.
The rooms were dated and had a musty smell. The lobby was dated and strangely decorated with Christmas trees all year round. The pool was dirty. I do not think they clean/filter the water. The water was murky and there was sediment on the pool floor. They need to improve upon their customer service as the staff was not very attentive to the guests. There is a breakfast buffer that consisted of sausage, rice, egg, dried fish and watered down oatmeal. The only beverages offered were water and coffee. There was an attendant on the buffet line that you only give you one item of each of the offerings on the buffet. I would stay at other places in Roxas over this place...it's not worth the money.
