Excellent place to stay. Well appointed rooms. Great staff; courteous and friendly. They will go out of your way to get what you need. We stayed in the Morning Glory room in the East building. Excellent views of the sound. Will definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place...far from the busier areas to the north. The Inn is what it says...casual, comfortable, classy. Great people work there who do everything to make you happy. Sea Oats room is one of the nicer rooms, with a great deck. Short drive to the beach and eateries, though the Cafe here is great, too.

The views of the sound from our large balcony were breathtaking. Beautiful sun sets! The Inn was very clean and all employees were nice, professional and helpful. So quiet and enjoyable - much more of a B&B than a hotel experence. The entire 3 days were just lovely! We were supposed to come in 2020; however, COVID cancelled our trip and the Inn Keeper upgraded us to another room because we left our deposit in place...we didn't even ask and it was done.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Inn on Pamlico Sound (once we found the property). The signage from Rt 12 is a little hard to spot, but that is the only drawback we encountered during our stay. The reservation process and check-in were well handled and we felt very comfortable with the COVID protocols. As an example, check in is 4 PM and check out is 11 AM to allow the cleaning staff to thoroughly clean everything. The TV remote control had clear wrap and they even had alcohol cleaner and wipes available should a guest want to be doubly safe. We ate one dinner and two breakfasts in the attached restaurant and the food was good. The breakfast was included in the room rate, but there was a $5 per person charge for each breakfast to provide for the tip. Breakfast was ordered from the menu and was delicious. The dinner we had was a bit too strong on the seasoning for our tastes but I overheard another diner compliment the flavors. We decided to eat elsewhere for our second dinner and were very pleased with that experience. We stayed in the Sea Oats room and enjoyed a terrific view of the sound and sunset. The room also had an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub big enough for two and a very comfortable queen sized bed. Should we decide to make the 50+ mile drive from Manteo to Buxton again, we would definitely stay at the Inn on Pamlico Sound and ask for the Sea Oats room. It was a terrific respite.
