We stayed here for 2 nights in a 1-bedroom efficiency condo. Great location....just 1 mile from Windham Mt. ski resort. Bathroom was roomy and had big, fluffy towels. Kitchenette was fairly well supplied, but the mini fridge is a bit too small if more than 2 people stay there and bring food for more than 1 day that needs to be refrigerated. The room could easily hold a 14-cubic foot frig, which would also allow for better ice-making. We found 2 drawbacks....the carpet looked like it could use a shampoo, and the queen mattress on the bed sagged in the center, indicating that it needs to be replaced. Other than that, a good place to stay.
I had the distinct PLEASURE of staying at Winwood Inn & Condominiums Sunday (1/10/2021) through Wednesday (1/13/2021). The facilities are rustic, but pretty FUNKY in a GOOD WAY! Kristen and Stephanie were professional and wonderful upon check in, they asked me how my family was enjoying everything sporadically when I popped into the lobby, where there are strictly enforced COVID-19 protocols! Well done, Winwood! There is an EXTENSIVE 15-point COVID-19 protocol list at Tavern 23, as well. Steve Roth runs a TIGHT SHIP, and does it IMPECCABLY WELL! The condos were nice and spacious, well appointed, in spite of what others may tell you. Their beds are comfortable, and rates are COMPETITIVE, but FAIR. It is a lovely property, and they GUARANTEE all their lodging guests lift tickets for the maximum capacity for each room rented.…
Rooms have been remodeled. Very nice. Re-fashioned RESTARAUNT tavern 23 very good and nice ambiance. Super staff. In Covid times it’s tough. Staff brought a coffee maker up. Very close to ski slope. Easy z as d clean check in.
The room was clean, updated and the inn is taking the proper covid-19 precautions. I stayed in a single king room. Good size for two people. But there is no fridge, coffee maker, or microwave in the room. The tv and a pullout sofa were also in the room.
Very satisfied with our stay at the Winwood. Rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. Jane and Bryan were both very helpful when we made the reservations and also with accommodating our dogs. Thank you for the excellent customer service. Great location close to town and restaurants and a fantastic gas station/market next door. The pool across the street is perfect and in a beautiful setting. Everyone was pretty good at mask wearing and social distancing too, and it never felt too crowded on a hot summer weekend. Only minor complaint is that the rooms and interior hallways are painted/lit very dark. A bit gloomy especially for the summer. The mattresses could also stand to be replaced. But we would still be happy to return!
We spent two nights here in one of the condominiums and we were extremely satisfied. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable in hot mid-July. The grounds were well maintained. We found the staff to be gracious and very willing to accommodate. We will definitely be back again.
I stayed at the Winwood Inn for three nights in early January, 2020. Although every employee with whom I had contact was friendly and helpful, the accommodations were dismal. The room was awful. There is no sink in the bathroom. The tub did not hold water. The entire room was painted in a prison green color creating a depressing atmosphere. There was only one mirror and it was nearly useless because of the two bulbs on either side of it nearly blinding one's vision. The pillows were hugh hunks of foam, completely uncomfortable and bad for one's neck alignment. There is absolutely no counter in the bathroom so there's no place to put a toiletry bag. There's no table so if you bring in a snack you have to eat it while holding it on your lap; not even a place to lay down your fork while you eat. No one even bothered to service our room on one day; on the other day I requested that it be cleaned. The room is charm-free. It was really depressing to be in; it was devoid of even a little comfort. The lighting was awful, adding to a depressive atmosphere. It felt like an institution to me. No closet; just a pole in the room with a few hangers. I was so excited about staying here and was thoroughly disappointed. I am writing this only in the hope of averting someone else from experiencing the same disappointment. As I sat in the common area, I listened to the staff members answer calls from prospective patrons and took note of the tremendous difference between their descriptions and the reality. What a shame. …
My family recently stayed here for the holiday weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The location was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The on site mexican restaurant was a plus. Will visit again.
We had a delightful stay here. Our room was in the Eagle's Nest building, a 2-story building much newer than the original lodge. The one-bedroom condo was spacious and well-stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, although we ate out at a restaurant. The furnishings were relatively new and in excellent condition; the rooms were all clean. Even though there was a wedding reception in the dining room (in the original older building) we did not hear any noise at all during the evening/night. The staff was responsive when batteries needed to be replaced in the remote control for the heating unit. I would definitely stay here again.
We came out to ride down the mountain on Labor Day. Unfortunately it rained All day .. on the upside this hotel inn was warm and friendly. Has a great little restaurant / bar attached to it with outdoor fire pit. Most of the guests were local and very happy to share good times and stories with new comers. Rooms are quiet. Ac good water pressure in showers. Awesome views.
