We thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at Rock of Ages B&B which is very welcoming and homely. This historic cottage is superbly maintained and accomodation is immaculate. Jo and Peter are amazing hosts who are happy to provide information on this historic property. Breakfast is provided includes a range of cereals, bread, fruit juice, yoghurt, beautiful fresh fruit platter/salad, tea and coffee. Home made jams especially the Fig jam are superb. Definitely recommend staying here, thank you for your hospitality, Jo and Peter.
My partner & I just stayed 3 nights here for much needed R&R. The whole experience was so warm , friendly & accomidating. Josie & Peter are wonder host and nothing was a bother. Beautiful decor, food, facilities & an amazing history. Would highly recommend this B&B for anyone needing total peace & relaxation. Definately be back.
Josie and Peter are very kind hosts who pay a lot of attention to detail. I felt very welcome at their convict-built cottage, on the Greenough Flats (Where they have horizontal trees!!) less than 20 kilometres south of Geraldton. The cottage is authentic 1857 at the front and very comfortable. The extension at the back blends very well with the original cottage and has a very well-equipped kitchen/dining area (although just a microwave and two electric hotplates if you plan on cooking and dining in). I really enjoyed the breakfast--with a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit platter, toast or eggs. There was tea, coffee and fruit juice. But the best bit was the home made jam: fig, mulberry, strawberry, tomato and a couple more! Very tasty. I don't normally have toast in the morning but I made a slice, cut it into four pieces and sampled four jams each morning. Thanks, Josie. Communication was good before arrival and Peter and Josie are very interesting people to chat with, with a wealth of local knowledge and some good stories about their travels.…
Great place to stay in a lovely area. We were welcomed into the household, Jose was just what you need when travelling on a gluten free diet. She even lent us her BBQ for our fish. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
My husband and I stayed here with another couple during our trip north from Perth to look at the wildflowers. We were all absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation (booked online). The cottage - tastefully renovated- was immaculately clean and beautifully presented with absolutely everything we could possibly need or even think of to keep us entertained and comfortable. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, interesting and informative. Port and brandy was left out for us after our evening out and we awoke in the morning from our lovely comfortable antique beds to find a continental breakfast laid out for us. We'd come back in a heartbeat next time we are travelling in this direction.
