The hotel lived up to its Hype as a 5 star hotel. No complaints whatsoever. Nothing was to much trouble. Food, cleanliness, activities and staff were all amazing. Have never slept in a more comfortable bed. lots of staff to mention, but special appreciation to Ravi our butler, Neha and Marie Michell in reception area. Prakash and Matthew our waiters in the floating market. Nicholas in the Le Manoir at breakfast. Many staff members in the boathouse including Cedrick and Ben but especially the Chef Rajee. He was outstanding member of the Hotel. I am Vegan and my wife is Vegetarian and many Chefs were eager to please us. Many cooking up special bespoke dishes for us. Buggy drivers Matthew and Navin were very polite and friendly. Concierge Sola was very good on our last day printing out various flight paperwork etc. Didnt want to leave. Hopefully return one day. Hotel is on the best beach in the area. Good times.

Wow wow wow! We have just returned from 2 weeks in Mauritius and our first 7 days was spent at the JW Marriot. We were apprehensive about it being changed to the JW Marriot when we had booked the St.Regis. I REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE WORRIED! It was amazing! Our butler, Archie, was superb. We've never received such good service and we have stayed in top hotels all over the world. What a lovely man. He couldn't have done any more for us! The room was lovely and we could walk straight out on to the beach. The sunsets were priceless. Dinners were a good variety as there are 5 restaurants- no problems booking in any and food lovely in each and service excellent. The live music in the evenings around the pool was fab-u-lous! Just the right amount, as it was finished by 10ish. Now to review the lobby bar staff! Well, what can I say. They were SUPER! Veenash was the best bartender we have ever encountered. He could make any cocktail (and we gave him lots of challenges!) and he also surprised us with his own inventions which were just amazing. Such a treat. The canapes with the drinks were delicious and special thanks to the chef manager (I'm afraid we don't know his name, but I've attached a picture!). Danilo, Varsha and Jimmy the bar manager (who made us a lovely cocktail!), were also all outstanding. We would like to thank all the team at the JW Marriot for a lovely holiday! They really made it special for us. We spent our second week at the Four Seasons in the East of the island and although the property was beautiful, we were wishing we were back at the JW Marriot being spoilt by their staff! Love, Suzie and Martin xx

We stayed at JW Marriott Mauritius in October and I cannot speak highly enough of our stay. The restaurants, location, rooms and amenities are second-to-none. From our beautiful sea-view suite it was a 30-second walk to our sun lounger on the private white-sand beach. The snorkelling in the turquoise waters on the reef (about 20 metres from the beach) was incredible. The complimentary use of paddle boards, kayaks and sailing dinghys drew us off our sun loungers - as did the fabulous gym facilities and tennis courts. The different restaurants all prepare mouth-wateringly delicious meals, prepared using quality ingredients. Our particular favourite was The Floating Market - South-East Asian inspired cuisine, but Le Manoir (buffet-style international), The Boat House (American/International) and Atsuko (Japanese) were all exceptional. It was a 'second honeymoon' for my husband and I - and we were given some amazing treats by the incredible staff. We were offered a 'sabrage' experience - the opening of a bottle of champagne using a sabre to slice off the top of the bottle! - at sunset on the beach. And what a sunset! On our last morning we were left gobsmacked as we were led out onto a private jetty where we had a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast. Precious memories we will never forget. But really, it's the staff that made our stay so special. Special mention has to go to our incredible butler, Archi. Nothing was too much trouble, I cannot praise him highly enough. Thank you for making our stay so special, Archi! Other mentions must go to Ryan at Le Manoir and Cedrick, Sharma and Arnaud. Thank you, we will be back!!

Outstanding hotel in the south of Mauritius. The amenities and facilities are fabulous. The pool next to the bar is amazing and the private beach offers one of the best sun set views (matches sun set of Santorini if not better). The hospitality and the service levels of the hotel stood out. The hotel offers private butler service in every room, who even help out with packing and unpacking services, planning your stay in Mauritius or taking care of your dietary requirements. A special callout to Yashvin for amazing hospitality and service, which made our stay even more special. On the day of the departure, we had to leave the hotel at 6:30 am and Yashvin made sure that a proper breakfast based on our preference was provided in our room. The breakfast buffet spread is amazing and includes cuisines from across the globe - Europe, US, Indian amongst many others. The hotel offers a number of live counters and fresh juice counter, which is not common a feature in most hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel to tourists visiting Mauritius.

Our one week stay was amazing. Everything about the hotel is great: the location, beach, lagoon, rooms and restaurants are all 5 stars. The key element that made those vacations magical was the staff though. Our butler (Jayzen) went constantly above and beyond to make us feel very special and our trip so unique and stress free. It felt like saying goodbye to a friend when we left the hotel. Kudos as well to the beach staff, the cleaner that took care of our room for the week and to Luchiana at the boat house. The only regret we had was not to stay one more week.
