Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is exceptional, I can honestly say this one is up there with the best…!
Location is fantastic right amongst the Main Street of Grand Bai.
Friendly, helpful staff from check in to check out, restaurant & bar staff, housekeeping, boat house everyone went above and beyond, we felt very welcome & at home. I have been a few times now and seen same faces still around and so nice to catch up with their friendly faces again. Staff like this is hard to find they are genuinely kind hearted, accomodating, funny, friendly and go above and beyond in their jobs.
I would like to acknowledge a few staff that have been amazing and best customer service I have ever had. Backus is our number one we have known him for a long time and his always been so attentive, happy, always a smile on his face and the best customer service we could ask for. Amongst Backus is other work colleagues who had great customer service François, Veena, Lanrenza, Richard and and Chef Viikash. Thank you to all of you for making our stay so nice and this is why we keep coming back there for staff like you that go beyond to make us happy and feel like home.
All the activities are great my family and I had a fabulous time and the service was always fantastic. The staff are always so professional and help when needed and made my son comfortable at all times and he had so much fun with all the water activities. Special mention to them Reaz, Victoria,Quincy,Benjamin,Nicolas, Shahil,Orwin, Bhoobhun and Clarel. You guys always made us smile.
Food-so much choice! All beautifully cooked, everything fresh, something for everyone, loved the themed nights and our favourite dishes were steaks, fish, curries and Mauritian night was the favourite!!!
Kids club- we didn’t use this time as my son is older now but before in the past he has gone there and the service, care and support was amazing the girls treat them like their own. They have renovated the place and looks amazing. My son did play volley ball at times and table tennis. We watched the new brava group that has now joined the resort. Something new and fresh. We like to give a special shout out to Manuel from the bravo team and his colleagues who were so friendly as well.
Management at night and day where so nice and really welcoming and really do care for their guests. So nice to see. Our cleaner Jaynarain for our room 706 was fantastic he was so friendly, attentive, made cute little animals and love hearts out of the bath towels was a nice surprise to come too.
Day spa Pamela and the staff there were always smiling soon as you come in and the best massage ever I came a couple of times. I loved that I could do one with my son and my mum too.
The only negative is put more plugs in the bathroom for hairdryers/straighteners and also next to the beds to charge our phones. All in all that’s is very minor negative points and this place was amazing and exceptional in all areas.
Seriously, could not fault this place hence our favourite resort in beachcomber to keep coming back too. Why? The people are always smiling, customer service is beyond amazing, it’s a nice relaxed vibe where everyone is having a good time and there is always something to do.
Thank you for another incredible holiday we throughly enjoyed from start to finish. I hope to be back next year again. Time to diet now so much food and yummy cocktails. ☺️

Stayed at Mauricia Hotel for two weeks with my family over the New Years 2020. The Hotel is located near the center of Grand Baie so the location is great, everything from shopping to dining reachable within walking distance. The hotel beach was nice, one of the better beaches in the area. The hotel provided some water activities on the beach, they were very dependable on the weather though so we only tried the snorkeling and waterskiing. Really nice to be able to do something else than swimming / sunbathing on the beach, very appreciated by the whole family.
We are 5 and we all stayed in a Villa (ground floor of a villa) with a private pool. The room was really spacious, clean and the standard was great. The pool was cleaned few times a day so it was really clean as well. Our cleaner Nadim was great, he always waited outside in the morning and when we got back the room was shining. ( See his towel crocodile below)
At first we had the Breakfast / Dinner alternative but we bought the all inclusive package second day because we felt like it would be worth the money in the end anyway, which it really was (mostly for the drinks). All Inclusive package was nice although it could have some ice cream for the kids included in the afternoon.
They only have one bar at the hotel, the Baywatch bar. A second bar would be nice but at the same time it was never really crowded in the one they have. Also, Vick took great care of the bar and customers otherwise the second bar would probably be needed ;)
The activities offered by the animation team could be better, Aqua gym was nice but also the only activity we tried. In the evening the entertainment was ok, nothing extra. The New Year’s Eve party was great with a big dance floor outside, extra bar and a lot of fireworks.
You are also allowed to visit the two other Beachcomber hotels here in Mauritius, Victoria and Cannonier. We visited Cannonier once, which was beautiful, but we personally preferred Mauricia.
We would recommend Mauricia Hotel to anyone traveling to Mauritius!

As our taxi from the airport passed through the gates and up the drive of the hotel we were a little apprehensive. We had already enjoyed 4 great holidays at the Mauricia , so could it live up to our expectations again?
We received a cheery greeting and our cases were whisked away; within minutes we were enjoying a welcome drink, completing the formalities of registration and in no time at all we were in our room. It was as we remembered - fabulous!
The location of the hotel, right on the beach, and with a short stroll into Grand Baie, is perfect, but the facilities within the hotel mean there is no need to wander. There is a boat house with padelos, canoes, windsurfing, water skiing, wake boarding; a glass bottomed boat trip; diving snd snorkelling; a fully equipped gym; tennis courts and activities throughout the day to keep you occupied should you not wish to lie on a sunbed with the occasional dip in the beautiful turquoise sea.
The food in the restaurant is first class covering every taste and preference. In the evenings there are themed buffets, or you can enjoy being served in the Nautique restaurant. Lobster on the beach is a special evening.
For us, the staff really make the whole holiday experience; from the early morning guys on the beach, the cleaners in the rooms, the chefs, waiters and bar staff, right up to the management, nothing seems too much trouble and it’s all done with a smile!
Thank you one and all.
And yes... we will be returning next year!

We had a lovely holiday at Le Mauricia Beachcomber hotel. People working at the hotel are very nice and helpful. We had a feeling that every guest is very important to the hotel staff and everybody did their best to make our stay comfortable. Our room was beautiful and clean and we had a beautiful view both to the pool area and to the sea. Food at the restaurant was excellent and there were plenty of choises. The service at the restaurant was very pleasant. There were also lovely young trainees working with experienced professional staff during holidays. The theme at the restaurant was changing daily during the week so every day there were different menus. Every day there are also activities and evening programme for the hotel guests, for example aquagym before noon. We loved especially dance shows and live music at Baywatch Bar next to the pool in the evening. Hygiene is very high standard in this hotel and for example common toilets were being cleaned all day round, even late at night at the pool restaurant. The hotel is working on to make the vacation more nature friendly, for example they are not using plastic straws and water served at the restaurant is bottled in reusable glass bottles at hotel’s own water resource. We were taken very good care of since we arrived to the hotel. We give our best recommendations to this hotel and are looking forward to come back some day again.

Away behind security gates, away from what ,I can only describe as “The strip”.
Is a lovely large clean refreshing hotel.
The staff (of which there are many)were all professional and very polite and helpful.
We stayed two days mid week for a short break.
The room was very clean and a beautiful view from it (203) and also away from the main area , so very quiet.
Meal times alacarte were bit of a bun fight, but lots to choose from and very tasty.
Also lots of seating, so no waiting for a table.
The main swimming pools with their black tiles were like having a very warm bath.
It was nicer to walk the thirty yards and cool down in the sea.
Not sure if they can do anything to remedy this, but it can’t be healthy.
The hotel and grounds are very lovely and all the staff were great.
Ohh one thing? Please please change your policy not allowing people to put towels on sun beds early in the morning there is no need as there are plenty of sun beds and selfish people hog beds that they don’t really use.
I have been to many hotels in Mauritius and none allow this behaviour to happened.
A very enjoyable two nights, thank you very much.

For our January/February winterstop we had this year chosen for Beachcomber Mauricia on Mauritius, we spent there 30 days.
The location is perfect for us, 10 minutes walk to the shopping and restaurant area of Grand Baie. A beach and 2 swimming pools and a lot of other facilities completed our list of desires/conditions.
The way this accommodation has been operated exceeded our expectations!
The people from the reception gave us from day 1 the feeling that we are guests, so they provided the service and extra attention which we really appreciated.
Nazim, who took care of our room, was not only a friendly person, but we always came back in a cleaned room. His extra touch was clearly visible.
The people from the restaurant succeeded in serving the best meals, every day a certain variation, therefore it was never boring. The staff was always friendly, they gave the best service, not only in the selfservice part, but also in the “a la carte” part.
The restaurant manager informed frequently if we were satisfied and acted immediately when we had a remark which appeared to be a misunderstanding.
Last but not least: The animation team! What they organize helps you to move from time to time. They were friendly, competent and not to forget, they have a lot of sense of humor.
Yes, we can fully recommend this Beachcomber hotel!

We stayed here just as lock-down hit the island, and only managed 4 nights out of a two week stay. The time we had here was wonderful, the the staff, food and cocktails were a credit the to hotel. The foot on the al-a-carte restaurant was amazing and the head waiter relay attentive.
Watersports and relaxation were the main reasons for selecting this hotel at a weeks notice following a last min cancellation to another destination. In the 5 short days we had on the island we made the most of all that was on offer.
Our thoughts are often with those on the island and the wonderful staff, we hope everyone has remained safe and we look forward to returning one day as we were so looking forward to seeing more of the island and using the option of spending time at some of the sister hotels.

We stayed at this hotel two weeks ago for our honeymoon and I couldn't think of a single thing I would change (apart from the weather!).
The hotel is in a great location and is kept spotless. We heard of some guests being able to hear the nightclub in Grand Baie but we couldn't from our room, those guests were also moved to another room once they let the staff know.
Because it's a bay there's only a small bit on the beach you can swim at, but there are pools as well so that wasn't a problem. They also have loads of water sports which were included in the all inclusive package so there's plenty to do if you want it.
The staff at the hotel are all incredibly friendly and helpful, from the bar/waiting staff to reception and the people who clean the rooms. The entertainment team are fantastic as are the chefs. The food was amazing, so much choice on the buffet with lots of it being cooked fresh and so many beautiful tiny cakes! The a la carte restaurant was really nice, we treated ourselves to lobster and were not disappointed.
Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough.
So where do I start? What an amazing place, we got married at this hotel last January and having had such a wonderful time we decided to go back for our first anniversary, so glad we did as the hotel is everything a holiday should be! We stayed in a beachfront superior room which is 10 seconds from the hotels private beach with all the (free) water sports anyone can wish for, the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis with new towels and fresh bedding if you want them, the cleaning staff are second to none and are genuinely very helpful, with the nice thrown in touch of towel art, the free room bar is topped up daily with snacks and drinks alcoholic and soft.
Now onto the hotel itself the staff can be almost intimidating to the point that as soon as you have taken the last sip of your drink someone appears from nowhere to replenish your glass or remove your dinner plate, anywhere else in the world you would just think they were after a tip but the Mauritian folk are just genuinely nice helpful people, unfortunately during our stay we were caught up in a cyclone with rain like I have never seen before which lasted on and off for 5 days but the hotel staff again were brilliant in their attempt to keep walkways safe from the deluge of rain.
The food choices at the hotel are again fantastic and catered for all tastes with again nothing to much trouble for the chefs and waiting staff most of the food is cooked to order whilst you wait and is first class, if you want anything different from the choice just ask the head chef Vikash Bundhoo who is the most accommodating person I have ever met, there is a choice of the main restaurant a lovely a la carte which you book a day before, all the waiting staff are first class and nothing is to much trouble for anyone, the management team within the hotel are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, the beach crew who run the Watersports are a great bunch of guys also and very helpful, there is onsite security who again are very helpful and great for local knowledge.
We hired a car for a week during our stay so we’re able to explore the island ( rain permitting) everything shuts down in Mauritius when it rains including access to the capital Port Louis. All in all a fantastic hotel with easy access to grand baie, a five minute walk along the beach, can’t wait to return to this hotel next year for our third visit

We’re just returned from a wonderful 10 days at Le Mauricia with our family of 5.
The holiday was arranged seamlessly by Fiona @DoorsToManual. From the flight, transfer and arrival at the hotel and greeting from Krishna.
The hotel is in a lovely setting with views over the 2 large pools, through the palm trees to the lovely sheltered beach.
The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Including Pammela in the spa and the staff at kids club, who kept our kids entertained on several days.
The restaurant was well organised and tidy. There was lots of food, but maybe a bit more variety day to day, of the salads and pasta options might have made for a more interesting meal. It was always nicely presented and clean. The a la carte restaurant was hard to get a table for, but they did find one last minute for us (when the kids decided ti go to kids club for dinner) as we had a lovely meal for 2, with a really delicious steak and great service. Unfortunately we’d run out of cash that day and I didn’t leave a tip, but they certainly deserved one, it was a special meal with stunning view.
As for the wine on all inclusive. We liked the rose and the white, but weren’t too keen on the red wine. Maybe the option of 1-2 to choose from if each colour wine would make it more interesting.
We tried the buffet restaurant at Le Cannonier. The setting here is beautiful and has been recently modernised/ upgraded but it did feel busier and a bit more formal. The bar was nice with a different cocktail menu which made a change.
We stayed in the Villa 707 which gave us lots of space and we loved having a plunge in the pool first thing.
My only very minor complaint would be for the showers (a bit of mould/mildew in between times) and corners of the bathroom/ toilet to be a bit cleaner. It wasn’t a problem and I didn’t mention it to house keeping but I didn’t notice on arrival this wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked.
The location of the hotel is great, we enjoyed walking to the town and trying some of the local food from the stalls on the beach.
We went on several trips, including the sugar museum, northern islands and a dolphin boat trip and the kids lovely snorkelling and waterskiing.
Mauritius is a special island, and we can’t wait to go back sometime soon. Thanks for having us Me Mauricia.

Pour se balader en ville, à Grand Baie vous serez servi. Oui, il y a une assez belle plage mais cependant, pas la plus belle de l'ile. Pour ça, je vous recommande un autre hôtel du même groupe, Le Paradis, au Morne.
