The en-suite bathrooms have both indoor and outdoor showers, separate bath and bath consumables. The suites are non-smoking and have air conditioning, direct dial telephones, hairdryers, hotel stationery, mini bars, room safes, electric blankets and tea/coffee making facilities. Private Wine Cellar dinners are available by prior arrangement.The Lodge is situated in the 36000ha malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve in the Waterberg Mountains, offering the Big 5. Ranger Keegan is a star! Although just a youngster, his knowledge of the bush, passion for sharing his knowledge and care that he shows for his guests is phenomenal. The food was outstanding...every meal was unique and delicious. Our room was comfortable, although like most of the property could use a refreshing (just seemed a bit dated). The game drives were full of spectacular scenery, great views but unfortunately the animals weren't too keen to be spotted. We did see more rhinos than my 15 other career safaris combined (they were everywhere!), but the cats and elephants decided to stay away...luck of the draw :( All in all, the staff was fabulous and a great value for the price...and not to far to Joburg! Well done.

I have completely fallen in love with the bush 🦏 . This will surely be one to remember. Wow! Wow ! This is an absolute gem, from start to finish. I loved my time at the Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway in Welgevonden. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, clean and spacious. The food is delicious. The phenomenal staff are so friendly and helpful. A huge thank you to Robert and Hope for waiting on us, really listening and paying attention. A massive thank you to Hazel and Keegan. Hazel, you are always smiling, I loved laughing with you and you really are a hands on Manager which is really so rare these days. Your attention to detail and overall management of the lodge is beyond commendable. Keegan, you were one of the best guides we’ve ever had. You were extremely knowledgeable and really had a passion for nature. You truly are a talented driver, which we witnessed personally in that rain storm ⛈ Thank you for always checking in with us and for working so hard to make sure we had a truly memorable trip. The views from our room was breath taking! Food was delicious and staff very friendly! Travelled extensively and this was one of the best overall! The game drives and scenery was exceptional and they did a lot of effort to find animals and show us a great experience - highly recommended!

My husband and I were booked into another lodge in the area for our honeymoon. Having been treated terribly at that lodge, we called Clifftop in the hope that they had availability for us for the rest of our honeymoon. Thankfully, they did. Within 30 minutes of making the booking we arrived at the lodge and our honeymoon went from a disaster to absolutely wonderful. Naomi, Keagan and all the staff at Clifftop were incredible and went the extra mile for us. The accommodation and food was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What an out of the world place this is to visit. From welcome to food... Accommodation, service and game drives everything is spectacular.
