We traveled here 2/3/20 we were so luck with the weather really hot, beautiful hotel, we had a swim up room that we loved, block 4, sun all day.. Went to all restaurants and they were all great, have booked already for next year and can’t wait
2nd visit to this hotel but quite different due to the circumstances!! We were here for my birthday 15th - 22nd March 2020 and back just in time before everything basically shut down!! It was lovely anyhow although a lot quieter as a lot of people had already stopped travelling - the airport was spookily quiet at Manchester as most flights had been cancelled and all the restaurants closed. So all in all very glad we got this week in in time and although we were slightly nervous the hotel staff were still brilliant and the hotel still gorgeous. Food and drink free flowing and good! When Cape Verde reopens, do not hesitate - get gone!! Support these lovely people, I hope they have been ok during this awful time and the island recovers the financial crap that they must have had to endure. 😕 …
Visited here with my friend in March. It’s the first time we had been to Cape Verde and also a Sensimar Hotel. This hotel is modern, contemporary, clean and compact. Our bedroom was nice and spacious and overlooked one of the swimming pools. The rooms were in a contemporary style and clean. The bar areas were relaxed and nicely styled. The cocktails were good but we were limited on an inclusive package, this is an area that could be improved. The beach was lovely and clean, a little windy but wind shields were provided. There is noise from the bikini beach bar but it did not bother us. The pool areas were lovely with a good choice of sunbeds, shades and sun pods. There is no need to go down early to get a subbed as there were plenty available. Every other day a lady would come around the pool and take orders for pizzas which were then delivered to your sunbed which was a nice touch. Would have been nice to have drinks in the day served to your sunbed as this was not offered. There is a nice choice of stylish restaurants within the complex although the a la carte restaurants are limited to one visit a week. The pool bar restaurant is a fabulous little place with a good menu choice and tasty food. The Latitude buffet restaurant was nice for breakfast but we were not keen on it in the evenings. The restaurant itself was nice but a very limited choice of food. The Italian restaurant was lovely and had a good choice of menu options. The Nami Teppanyaki restaurant was gorgeous. It was well decorated and the food was deliciously amazing. Only one word of warning is that the 30 euros menu is only available on a Tuesday. This is written in small print and should be explained more clearly. We went on a Monday and had to pay quite a lot extra and were not made aware of this. The best restaurant was the Culinarium restaurant which served a good choice of food. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the tables are nicely set apart from each other. The food was excellent and the service was fabulous. We would like to make a special mention to staff members Zulica and Gaudino Veira who provided amazing service and they went out of their way to make our holiday extra special. (Remember the chicken napkins!!!) Overall a fabulous hotel which we highly recommend. We will definitely be returning again. …
We stayed at this hotel for two weeks in March. The first thing that strikes you when you arrive is how peaceful and quiet this resort is. Our room was beautiful with a separate lounge area and two tv’s. The entire resort is spotlessly clean and the gardens are well maintained, well laid out and the beach is fantastic. The staff are for the most part very helpful although a few seemed to be shy and one or two of the guests I spoke to thought that they were a bit standoffish. The bars and restaurants were all very good and the guys in the Sens bar made as good a margarita as I have tasted anywhere. The staff seemed surprised and grateful if they were given any tips and the fact that few guests were tipping didn’t affect the service at all. We ate most of the time in latitude (the buffet restaurant) and the food was plentiful and there was always a good variety of meat, fish and numerous vegetarian options. We ate one night at the culinarium and one night at the Italian themed restaurant and on both occasions the meals were excellent. My wife and I used the spa and had a full body massage which was really relaxing with well trained staff. Almost everything in the way of food and drink is brought into Cape Verde as they do not produce anything themselves so at times certain foods or drinks were unavailable for a short time but all in all the hotel and service provided was excellent. I should also mention Martin and the rest of the TUI staff who were absolutely amazing.…
Fantastic hotel on a beautiful island. Staff and service were excellent. Food choices very varied. Rooms spacious. Order a pizza to be delivered to your sunbed. Miles of white sandy beach. Overall, perfection!
