It's now a shelter. But still no excuse for some of the conditions in this place. It's infested with roaches. There's mold. The cleaning people do not clean properly even when we point out their mistakes. This place is a health hazard for anyone that stays here. They have wifi but the wifi sucks sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Never experienced any like this in a hotel. Wouldnt wish this place on my worst enemy. Oh also when we first got here there was food on the walls. There's writing in the bathroom. Most wall outlets don't work properly. There's only 1 elevator and it's already broken xown which is a fire hazard. Some rooms don't have proper lighting.

Avoid this hotel. The beds are acceptable, however, the AC does not work. The room was hot and uncomfortable. The TV channels are not clear, in fact, the channels play like boot leg cable. The worst thing about this hotel is the breakfast. They provide runny eggs, toast, bagels and donuts which ran out before we arrived in the breakfast room at 7:30 a.m. They do not provide fruits and only two types of teas. What they provide is disgusting and should not be labeled breakfast. The only plus about this hotel is the staff. They were friendly and did what they could to accommodate us. The location is okay but a long walk from the train stop. I would choose a different hotel if I need to stay in the area a second time. And yes, the hotel does smell like weed and cigarettes.

Booked this hotel on Booking.com a month or more ahead of time. Paid for the room ahead of time. Told them we would arrive late. When we did arrive, they had given our room away. They gave us a small substandard, filthy room with no window (supposed to be city view) . They charged us the premium room price and were very rude when asking about why they did that. The next day they fought me about the price and were reluctant to give me a discounted price for the crappy room, acted like the knew nothing about what was promised the night before. Disgusting, nasty place. Would not suggest anyone book this place.

Got a room here when we attended the awesome Anders Osborne show at the phenomenal Brooklyn Bowl. This is a very old hotel. Like AHS old. In fact, I scared the $hit out of my husband because I kept saying there was a body in the mattress. The mattress was actually comfortable, but there were various suspicious stains on the carpet and walls. I'm not easily grossed out, though. They had free parking and a halfway decent continental breakfast. All the reviews that talked about the place smelling like cigarettes and weed are correct, and there does indeed seem to be some families taking up long term residence in the place. Bring a highly scented candle and you will be fine. Definitely not a fancy place, but the price was right. Front desk and staff were very polite.

The reviews seemed adequate and my friend and I were only in town one night, so we decided to stay here. We didn't need anything fancy. The claim from one of the pictures is this is a best western, (but I did not see any signage there to indicate that fact) and I've stayed in those before and wasn't concerned. I can not believe that this hotel runs over two hundred dollars a night! There were families in front playing loud rap music and swearing up a storm. It seemed as if they lived there. The hallways smelled like weed as did the rooms. Garbage was in the stairwells. It looked barely cleaned with small scraps on the carpet. We stripped the bed and found blood stains, questionable stains on the mattress and all over the sheets. The walls were stained with red marks. The whole atmosphere of the room felt uncomfortable. I didn't want to sit or touch anything. With the questionable cliente that I saw around this hotel, the smells, the noise and the nasty room, we were only there fifteen minutes before we turned and left, asking for a refund.

Was not informed. The day I stayed is the day after families moved in. Still have a few rooms they rent. Will not stay there again. I really should have asked for a refund. Supposed to be a king bed. It was a full size bed. The staff was great.

We booked this hotel it was the only one reasonably priced and had a free parking space. Some good points: 1. Free Parking 2. 10 min walk to the metro 3. Free breakfast Everything other than the above 3 were substandard: 1. Half the electic sockets were coming off the wall. 2. The mini fridge was not connected to power and was not fixed even after we informed the management. We stayed for just one night so it was ok.

This hotel is very close to my daughter's apt. and the price was right. It is more than a little run down but the beds are comfy, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is ok and the parking is free! It is not close to the train but is close to highways.

Average to good. Rooms are nice and clean. Bathroom is ok. Service is good. 15-20 walk to metro. Shuttle is actually a taxi. Runs at the hour from 9am to 9pm so we took the shuttle in the morning and walked back in the evening. 7 metro stops from grand central, so that is great. Breakfast gets old fast but if you are not to fussy it will do. 3 kinds of cereal, toast, bagels, donuts, waffles, apples, bananas, apple and orange juiçe. Wifi is kinda slow For the price, i was not disappointed
